The newest episode was pretty average, not all that much happened, and I think EVERYONE figured out the ending looong before she introduced herself (I mean, wouldn't it have clicked at "anyone speak french?"). Lost is at its best when it's going full throttle... Really looking forward for the coming few episodes, though. I can't wait to see Rousseau's episode and finally finding out Jeremy Bentham's story.

There is speculation that Miles is Candle's son (the infant at the opening of the season premiere)

This was strengthened by last week's episode when Miles asked Dan why he would be getting a nosebleed so soon and said he'd never been to the island before and Dan asked "are you sure?"

Season 4 Summary:

Helicopter from freighter crashes on island, 4 people, say they're going to rescue the losties then say they aren't, Desmond and Sayid go to freighter and find out Michael is on it and is Ben's man on the boat, freighter filled with bad mercenaries sent by Charles Widmore to kill everyone on the island, the leader Keamey takes a team to the island, he kills Rousseau, Karl, and Alex, and a bunch of redshirts, Ben gets mad, Claire sees Christian Shepherd in the woods and walks off and disappears and leaves Aaron, Keamey says he is there to capture Ben, Ben hides for a while, some of the losties go to the freighter, Keamey sets a bomb on it that will blow up if he dies, it's wirelessly hooked up to a heart monitor, Jacob tells Locke to move the island, Ben and Locke go to the Orchid Station so Ben can move the island, The Others kill all of the mercenaries, Ben kills Keamey and thus the boat blows up, Jin is on it and Michael is on it, Michael dies, who knows what happened to Jin actually we find out this season he is still alive, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Aaron, Sawyer, and Desmond are on the helicopter, Sawyer jumps out because they need to lose weight and are going down, the chopper crashes in the ocean, the others are rescued, all but the pilot and Desmond become famous as the "Oceanic Six" back in the real world, Ben moves the island and the island disappears and Ben ends up in Tunisia, he says once he moves the island he can't go back and is bannished, Locke becomes the new leader of the Others. I hope you are happy.

Bear's summary was good, if its all correct. Maybe I'll start watching again. I just didn't want to watch the season when they weren't on the island. If they're back on it, I'm happy. As for Locke becoming the leader of the stone cutters; I totally saw that coming years ago.

Thanks for the episode recomendations. And is there anything more funny than somebody being torn by their morals? Nope.... well maybe losing the fight againt obesity. I'm surprised they never had Hurley turn to cannibalism.

I thought it was a very good episode. It kept me on the edge of my chair once again. I was a little lost in some places, because of references to earlier episodes since I haven't seen many, but I got most of it.

The only thing I hate are the cliffhangers...

But that's what makes the show so interesting.

Finally saw Montand lose his arm and Robert's firing pin removed, finally saw the Temple where the Smoke Monster is and guards apparently, finally found out why Rousseau calls it a security system.

So the other frenchies that went down the hole show up after the flash, Rousseau accusses them of not being real - but they reveal that the smoke monster is a security system (which we know from Ben last season) for the temple.

I had always assumed that Jacob was speaking through Christian. But now I am confused as to why Christian told Locke to tell his son he said hello. Maybe that was still Jacob saying that to get Jack to want to come back? Who knows...

I listened to the official Lost podcast with the executive producers yesterday. They said the building Smokey went into is A) not the temple but "maybe an outside wall" and B) not where Smokey lives.

They also said that the Frenchies definitely were a little wacko after coming back and that the monster had changed them.
