It's interesting how Hurley proclaimed he would remember this moment on the boat against Sayid, saying if he ever needed help in the future he wouldn't help him... then flash forward three years and he's there saving his darted ass out of the Safehouse! Will that promise ever go further? or does that just show Hurley is a good guy no matter what to help his "friends"..

Neil Frogurt is somewhat of a running gag created by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. People kept asking ca Season 2 when the other survivors would step up and be important on the show (since they just appear to be killed or to attend a speech by Jack, etc). Damon and Carlton responded by saying that Neil Frogurt would be an extra who would soon become "more interesting." (Likely made up on the spot as a joke). Frogurt never showed up but the producers insisted they hadn't forgotten about him and told a little of his background, including that he used to sell frozen yogurt ("Frogurt"). Still no Frogurt in Season 3 then the Missing Pieces came out before Season 4 and LOL! frogurt is in one! He likes Libby and gets mad at Hurley for trying wo win her over! Bernard says he used to sell frozen yogurt, Hurley calls him Frogurt, Neil gets mad and says "It's Neil!" Then he dies in Season 5
Quoted again for those of you who don't know who Neil "Frogurt" was Oh shit, so the lady at the end of the ep TOTALLY was not who I thought it was
Chay, if you're reading Lostpedia you probably found out that Isabel is dead. Don't know how Damon and Carlton just said she was at Comic Con before season 4

It seems that everyone agreed in that woman is the mother of Faradai Also im tired of The slaying of survivors... ok , Neil was an ass but what happened to him was quite obvious..not only because he was an ass but because to me this confirms the "if its a survivor wich is NOT a main character and he/she speaks for himself.. then he/she WILL die very soon , its stupid, for me it translated into "im a shitty writer who doesnt know the stuff he is writing and i cant do anything interesting with any character that is not the famous main ones so i kill them because death is cool" ..is boring , obvios, forced and predictible.. i knew Neil was going to die the second he began to speak for himself Apart from that they are quite interesting and good eps

I think your last point Javier is really more of a running injoke that the Lost writers have... so many fans have said how non-speaking survivors are always slayed... and I think with everyone calling him the wrong name, and him correcting himself - as if to defend his worthiness of being there (on the show) - was really hilarious. Of course he was going to get killed off... I laughed, it was great.

Hey Chay - about that whole You can't do something it you didnt do it cuz you can't change the past thing - with Sawyer, Juliet, and Locke? Well here is my theory about that We know they are in the way past now because the hatch wasnt even found yet. What if those people are French Chicks people - and locke and the other original gang killed them? If time is able to jump like that it could be that "things" happen at a constant. Like all of this has happened before (in the future) compared to where they are now. So when they went back in their time line, they killed them all. But dont realize it cuz in their time line they went back after they knew frenchies people died. But in other timeline it already happened? Does that make any sense. Probably not.

Yeah, Ninaka's right, its a joke. The writers refer to them as "redshirts," a reference to Star Trek when all the engineering characters in red shirts would come out of nowhere to accompany Kirk, Spock, etc on missions and would be killed off in the same episode. Neil was even wearing a red shirt.

I think I know what you mean, but now when I need to add or continue what I wanted to say about it I have no idea where to start. I'll just agree with you cuz I think you might be on the right track there. I think.

lols at Hugo throwing pastry at Ben in surprise....
That was the best thing since "Dude, he has a name. It's Roger Workman." These new episodes did reignite the excitement that is waiting for the next episode of Lost which always dies down after months of waiting for a new season but it is losing its touch a bit. Early seasons posed questions I wanted to be answered NOW but these episodes pose some questions I can't even be bothered to ask. What bugs me though is that when desmond was skipping between now and the past, he met Dan. Since we know that what he did in his past effected the future because of the whole telling penny to call him thing, shouldnt he have recognized Dan? Or no because by those standards he hadnt gone back in time and met him yet.
I agree with the second one. Dan says you can't change anything in time...so him meeting Desmond in the 'past' hadn't really happened until it happened...it was still in line with time and since Desmond is special and has a sexy accent he was able to be at the two places at once. Yeah, that explains it..

Maybe Ben will get a full-body tattoo and deliberately get incarcerated so he can break Hurley out? Annyway, everyone else has probably already assumed this, but... I'm guessing they need The Oceanic 6 back because the remaining survivors needs a constant in order to stop the time skips, or else they'll die just like that guy did in The Constant. Charlotte's nosebleed is a pretty major sign things are only going to get worse. The others aren't skipping through time with it because they're all their - they have their own constant already because none of them have left except Ben, and Jacob pretty much wanted him to leave.
This, of course, begs the question - was it Ben's intention to send the island through time like this? Would be VERY effective in terms of stopping Widmore from finding the island, but I don't think he would've let the Oceanic 6 leave so easily if he knew he was going to need them back eventually anyway. Either way, I am loving the direction they're going in! The show's always had elements of sci-fi but now they're going all out and it's truly inspiring. The first two episodes were awesome (the premiere especially) and I can only imagine it's going to get better the deeper we get. Bring on 503!

Beamer I get what you mean with the constant thing, but there are so many people still on the island that they know. I'm not sure how knowing Jack would make a difference. Plus, remember John saw Richard? That didn't suddenly bring everything back to normal. Oh, and I think it'll be easy to get Kate to come along, considering whats happening with her.

A constant isn't just "someone you know," it also has to be "someone/something you care about immensely." eg. Sawyer might not give a shit if Jack's back. If any of the O6 is going to be his constant, it's Kate.
