Well, I'll just satisfy myself with the minor inconvenience that Gopher, Nix, Pasty, et al will have skimming over this spoiler instead of succumbing to the temptaion of reading it. Honestly, I realize this is rather pathetic, but...Jackson's a Prior. C'mon, I'm sure that the writers were really proud of their idea. "Hey Shanks, we have come up with a new idea for Dr. Jackson." "What? Are you going to kill me...again?" "Nah, it's something far more imaginative."
Besides, (that's actually a HUGE spoiler) it generated a funny line: Prior Jackson: "Hey guys, what took you so long?" ::zatzat:: Also, Nix, Gopher et al. are you still waiting to see Unending?

Nostalgia moment of The Quest, Pt 2: Carter: Are you dismissing my idea out of hand because I'm human or because my reproductive organs are on the insideI'm a woman?

Rewatched both again last night, new comments follow
The Quest pt 2 My favorite moment was when Sam finally just popped him.
I think the reason I was unsatisfied with it when I watched it friday was the complete lack of any real resolution. In retrospect, I don't know what made me expect resolution. Obviously, the ori situation won't be resolved for at least 9 more eps, and that's assuming the final resolution isn't saved for the movies or even possibly (though hopefully not) the third series.
The Return pt 2
Loved this one just as much the second time; the way they handled presenting plan C & D was still fun the second time, and seeing Woolsey get to experience first-hand what our heros deal with day to day was very satisfying.
One thing I noticed the second time, though: What the hell happened to the Lanteans? Were they all simply killed, or did they flee? All I remember them saying was that the replicators had taken over the city, and then there just aren't any Lanteans anymore. Wha? Did I miss something? Are they dead, or just MIA and to return later?
Bottom line, they seem to have obtained another ZPM out of the whole deal, making it a huge net gain even if they never got to learn from the Lanteans.

For the first 20 min of this week's SG-1, I was thinking it'd be like the 67 other alternate universe episodes the series has done, but I was pleasantly surprised by the end.
Not bad.

Nah, the best ending would have been Sheppard telling the team that the forcefield doesn't work anymore as they're walking away down the street, and then have Ronin jump up like a little kid and run back to beat the shit out of him.
Ronin being excited to hit Lucius at the beginning of the episode was the highlight for me.

The real challenge was coming up with a-a good catch phrase. "It's…what I do." "It's what I do." That was so, you know, good. It defined Colonel Danning. And I needed something even better to make you forget about the guy that fans loved to watch for the first seven years of the show…I know he was here for eight, but uh, you know, a lot of people say he just kinda…phoned it in, uh, that last season. The writers were trying to come up with a catch phrase. Um, "I can get behind that!" was, uh, something we-we tried for a while. Pssh! It just hit me! "Sweet—[string of beeped obscenities]." And we can get away with that too, because…it's cable.

This is very likely my favorite episode of the season. Daniel is my new hero.
