Bianca, by the first 2 sets, I assume you mean just seasons one and two?  Yeah, the early seasons tend to be the most popular, because of their nostalgia.

Although, I've gotta say, if you've only seen the first two seasons, then you're missing out on a really great show.  I mean, the series gets really good when Ash and his friends arrive in the Johto region (of course, this is coming from someone who's a huge fan of the Pokemon series).  However, on the other hand, the Pokemon anime seemed to lose most of its viewers during the 3rd and 4th seasons.  And because those seasons had A LOT of filler episodes, most people who stopped watching were simply too impatient to wait around for Master Quest (which in my opinion, is one of the best seasons of Pokemon).

But anyway, I guess how much people enjoy watching Pokemon depends on how big a fan you are of the franchise in general.  ^^;

As for me though, my favorite seasons are definitely 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Watching pokemon is my guilty pleasure show :laff: I'll still watch the sinnoh adventures, despite the fact that the kanto and johto are my faves. I'll always remember pokemon by my silver and fire red gameboy games. Charmander is my overall favourite starting pokemon but dragonite and umbreon are my overall favourite pokemon.

Oh, really?  That's interesting!  :)

As far as favorite regions go, I have to agree.  Kanto and Johto are also my favorite regions.  Hoenn is really nice too!!  ^_^

I like Sinnoh, but in the games only.  In the anime, both Diamond and Pearl, and Diamond and Pearl: Battle Dimension are absolutely horrible, due to the voice actor switch (that was Pokemon USA's worst decision, in my opinion).  Mainly, if you listen to Ash's NEW voice in those seasons, then go and compare it to his original voice from seasons 1 through 8, you will know exactly what I'm talking about.  Personally, I'm of the opinion that Ash's new voice actor, Sarah Natochenny, has completely ruined Ash's personality, because he is no longer the same character I know and love from the 4Kids dub of Pokemon.

Although, some people in the Pokemon fandom aren't bothered by things like the voice acting in the show.  So, I guess it really depends on whether you prefer the original cast, the new cast, or whether you just couldn't care less who voices the characters.

But anyway, this is a topic for a different thread.  Because, as you can you see, I could easily type up a whole big, long, rant about how much I hate Sarah Natochenny's portrayal of Ash and the new voice itself.  :laff:

Also, on a final note, I really wish Cartoon Network would reair seasons 1 through 8.  So that way, fans won't forget the good 'ol days of Pokemon.  You know what I mean?  Because seriously, it seems like all CN wants to do, is cram the Pokemon USA dub up our throats (which is a pretty bad thing, considering the horrible quality of the voice acting).

I found myself skipping a lot of the early ones when I watched it before. But that could have been because I'd started watching season 1 and 2 then didn't have time, later went back and started from season 1 and just had to start at season 3 instead. Sometimes episodes get really weird but I just find it hilarious that somebody actually wrote these things, and then people took money to play these characters..  :p

Maz's list
Bostol Legal
Futurama
Lost
Scrubs
How I Met Your Mother
Arrested Development
The Simpsons (from about season 11 onwards brings this show down on my list :nono:)
X Files
Oz
South Park (although I feel I may have grown out of it a bit..it was good the time I first watched it)

That's hard. I also like Firefly, and The Office (US version), Black Books...Cowboy Bebop was good too. I don't know where to fit any of them. Let's just say that any shows I like, I like them equally, and any shows I don't like, I dislike them equally.

  • Antiques Roadshow
  • Blackadder
  • Deep Space Nine
  • Family Guy
  • Futurama
  • Red Dwarf
  • Ren and Stimpy
  • Stargate
  • The Goodies
  • The Simpsons
  • The Young Ones

[Edit]
After reading back through this thread I'm tempted to double the size of my list with other people's suggestions of show which, when I read them, remind me that, yes, that one would also be in my top 10 (e.g. News Radio [How could I have forgotten that?]).

I can't really pick, but here they are:
Futurama  (SKY 1 over here)
The Simpsons ( SKY 1 and Channel 4 over here)
Family Guy ( BBC 3 over here)
Top gear (BBC 2, Repeats on DAVE)
Monty python's flying circus (from 1960s- 1970s, It used to be on BBC 1)
The goodies ( both LWT series and BBC series)
Mock the week. (BBC 2)
Outnumbered ( BBC 1)
Michael macintyre's comedy roadshow. (BBC 1)
Young dumb, and living off mum. (BBC 3)

The only reason why I've put down the channel names is because I know most of the people on here are from different countries.
