Oh Lord it's horrible! x_x

Amy's hair looks flat(ter) in that picture, too.

I don't understand why Mom's sons didn't just steal the stupid anchovies when they kidnapped Fry.  I understand the logic from Verrone's perspective (they had to take Fry's money away somehow), but from Mom's perspective....

Anyway, just a thought that's probably been brought up before.

Bender looks chunky in that picture.

A random comment on Fishful of Dollars - that scene in the fake Panucci's Pizza is so funny. Possibly one of Fry's dumbest moments ever. Also gotta love the "classical music" comment.

Yeah Km73 you'd expect him to at least be able to tell the difference between his boss and an imposter. And I'll never get why he says:

I'm sure there were people who successfully stole Fry's credit card, but when they found out that there was only $.93 on it, they didn't bother.

Yeah, that's always kinda bothered me.  All I can think of is that Mom knows that, by robbing Fry, she can force his to sell her his anchovies, and then she'll have his money and his anchovies.  Of course, there's still no reason why she just couldnt have had her sons steal the anchovies when they robbed Fry...

[edit because the second half of my post dissapeared into thin air]:

I could be due to the fact that her sons are incredibly incompetent.

The way I justify it to myself is, they didn't expect him to be stupid enough to have them on him, so they never looked.  The whole operation was based on the idea that Fry was some kind of mastermind.

Also, at least one of her sons appears to actually be dumber than Fry.

Fry and mastermind should not even be associated with each other unless Fry is talking about someone who is a mastermind, but then again Fry probably doesn't even know what mastermind means. Which brings me back to the original reason I posted this. Fry and mastermind shouldn't be allowed in the same paragraph together. *The whole process starts over again.*

It takes me a long time to say nothing.

Just watch Fishful of Dollars.  Cohen was right that robot repoman has a very funny voice.  I wish DiMaggio can do that voice more often.

Yeah he does it's really odd but I'd be cool if DiMaggio would do that voive more often it's interesting.

How coincidential.  They bring up how certain characters look off-model in certain scenes in the commentary. :P

(That's my favorite cold-opening, too.  In fact, this is my favorite episode from the first non-production season.)

Yeah the cold openinmg for My Three Suns is great. It's one of my top 20 episodes. Someday I'll actually have to go through and just rate all the episodes from favorite to least favorite.

My Three Suns, a very good episode.  You find out through Leela that Fry is 25 years old.  I'll be 25 by this week.  Wouldn't there be aliens inside Zoidberg since he drinks them while they're dripping in through the door?

I don't think that he was drinking them. He put one of his mouth flap tentacles in the hole but I don't think that they allow him to drink through them.

This is one of those episodes that i just love without even knowing why exactly I love it so much. It was one of the earlier ones I saw, but that doesn't fully explain it. The whole first part w/ the introduction of Elzar is great, and the Trisolians are beautifully done. Leela is in her bossy mother mode in this one. I love the part where she says that the drink could have been acid or something, and Fry replies that it could just as equally have been an emperor.

I've decided that, for each episode, I'll do a short critiquing of them and rate them. By the end of the 72 days, I'll have critiqued every episode thus far and will be able to determine my critical favorite episode. And now to begin:

Space Pilot 3000
1. Opening (the catch) -- I love the opening, especially the Time Machine parody -- A-
2. Plot -- The "he's in the future" plot is good, but the motif of "you gotta do what you gotta do" got annoying after references of it every 5 lines -- B-
3. Dialogue (the script) -- Well written for a pilot, with some good jokes -- B
4. Acting (including guests) -- It was meh. Bender, the Professor, and URL were way off, but they got Leonard Nimoy! C+
5. Characters (favorites, new, or guests) -- Considering that this was the first episode, everybody was new. However, past that, the lack of a zany character (*cough*Zoidberg*cough*) and Michelle kicked this down another notch -- C+
6. My Liking of the Episode -- Yes, this isn't critic-like, but I'll put my own opinion in. It was a very good episode despite voices being off. The catches (future, Suicide Booth, Head Museum) sold it, though. B-

Overall (average of scores) -- B-

I'll try to catch up soon. I've been quite busy lately, so sorry that I'm still on episode one.

Ohh that's a good idea i_c_weiner. I started doing that last year but forgot. I should probably do this my self. At least then I'm actually doing something that to my 'rents could qualify as productive because to my parents watching Futurama is not productive in any way but I'll prove them.

The story is focused on how Bender got addicted to "acking on" (lol) and converts to the religion of robotology, He then breaks the rules and is sent to Robot Hell where we hear a little jingle.
quotes- Leela- Who would have thought hell actually existed, and that it would be in New Jersey
Fry- actually... Ahhhhhh
Favorite quote of episode

This is off-topic, but right now this thread seems to be the unofficial news thread that most members are looking at on a daily basis. I just wanted to say that Fox has cracked down on YouTube and deleted probably more than half of the Futurama videos on there, claiming that they are against their own copyrighted law.

Everyone knows that Bender made an apperance in The new Family Guy, im so happy.

Bender was in the new Fam Guy? I really need to watch it then good thing for my DVR. I thought FUX sold Futurama to Comedy Central. So they wouldn't have any rights to it. Right?

Fox owns Futurama. Period. Get used to it.

Fox is pulling clips from YouTube because they don't make money if people just watch it online for free.

Fox originally sold Cartoon Network the rights to air Futurama. Now those rights will transfer to Comedy Central. CC doesn't own the show.

Keep this as being a thread to discuss the 72 Days/72 Episodes campaign. Use the News and Speculations threads for their purposes instead of just using this "as a short cut", per se.
