I'm sure there were people who successfully stole Fry's credit card, but when they found out that there was only $.93 on it, they didn't bother.

I could be due to the fact that her sons are incredibly incompetent.

The way I justify it to myself is, they didn't expect him to be stupid enough to have them on him, so they never looked. The whole operation was based on the idea that Fry was some kind of mastermind.
Also, at least one of her sons appears to actually be dumber than Fry.

I've decided that, for each episode, I'll do a short critiquing of them and rate them. By the end of the 72 days, I'll have critiqued every episode thus far and will be able to determine my critical favorite episode. And now to begin:
Space Pilot 3000 1. Opening (the catch) -- I love the opening, especially the Time Machine parody -- A- 2. Plot -- The "he's in the future" plot is good, but the motif of "you gotta do what you gotta do" got annoying after references of it every 5 lines -- B- 3. Dialogue (the script) -- Well written for a pilot, with some good jokes -- B 4. Acting (including guests) -- It was meh. Bender, the Professor, and URL were way off, but they got Leonard Nimoy! C+ 5. Characters (favorites, new, or guests) -- Considering that this was the first episode, everybody was new. However, past that, the lack of a zany character (*cough*Zoidberg*cough*) and Michelle kicked this down another notch -- C+ 6. My Liking of the Episode -- Yes, this isn't critic-like, but I'll put my own opinion in. It was a very good episode despite voices being off. The catches (future, Suicide Booth, Head Museum) sold it, though. B-
Overall (average of scores) -- B-
I'll try to catch up soon. I've been quite busy lately, so sorry that I'm still on episode one.

Fox owns Futurama. Period. Get used to it.
Fox is pulling clips from YouTube because they don't make money if people just watch it online for free.
Fox originally sold Cartoon Network the rights to air Futurama. Now those rights will transfer to Comedy Central. CC doesn't own the show.
Keep this as being a thread to discuss the 72 Days/72 Episodes campaign. Use the News and Speculations threads for their purposes instead of just using this "as a short cut", per se.

Some of the best jokes are in that episode. All the NJ bashing you can handle.
