I am actually planning on doing this. I can find time every single day until the release to do this. In fact, I got the whole first season already uploaded onto my computer.

I'm sorry, I can't help you there. I probably will learn by the end of the year, though. That's when I hope to get an iPod Touch for Christmas. It'll be a darn shame for me if I can't put Futurama on it, and after weeks of uploading almost all of the episodes, disc by disc. The day that "Bender's Big Score", I'm going to have to get everything done on my schedule first, because I know after I watch it, the only thing I'd be too hyped up to be able to do anything else.

Wacky dates eh? OK, how about this: There were 1596 days between the airing of SP3K and TDHAIP on Fox, and there will have been 1570 days between the airing of TDHAIP and the release of the movie. Ho hum.

In conclusion, I'd consider doing a 72/72, but I'm afraid I'd just forget, especially with Bioshock to play now, then Halo 3, the Half-Life 2: Orange Box. Maybe in November I'll have some sort of marathon.

...I'm an adult, and I have kid siblings, and I thought RatchetMan was just making a joke. I don't see the part where he aimed that remark at anyone in paticular, let alone a 13 year old girl. ETA: Unless you mean SP? I thought he was just describing the stereotypical sci-fi fan, and that the comment was directed at the community in general, not her specifically. And I'm perfectly happy with people calling me a nerd. I'm not going to deny what I am. ANYWAY, I watched the pilot and was reminded of the alien languages and phrases scattered throughout the show. I hope they bring those back; those were fun to translate.

Inspired by this thread, I also watched the pilot today.
With time-travel being a major plot point in the movie. Does anyone think we might get more information on why/how the building Fry was frozen in, was saved from alien destruction?
Or are there any other "secrets" in the pilot like Nibblers shadow still waiting to be revealed?

Read this thread for all news relating to the movies. For the short and skinny, the first movie will be released on DVD this November. It will be rearranged, scenes will be added and cut, and the movie will broadcast as 4 new episodes on Comedy Central. If you didn't know, CC gets the rights to broadcasting Futurama in 2008, roughly a month after the DVD is released. Seems like [adult swim] will soon become [the family guy & robot chicken party block], eh? This is a stellar idea. I liked 1BDI's proposal of watching the commentaries as well. I would've likely watched without commentaries for the episodes I don't know as well, like Where the Buggalo Roam and A Pharaoh to Remember, but these aren't, coincidentally, the best shows in the series (in my opinion); I'll likely just watch them with commentaries.

I'm doing this. I didn't have time to watch yesterday, so I watched both Space Pilot 3000 and The Series Has Landed today. It will be nice rewatching all of the Futurama episodes in order.
