Well,I kinda liked the Crud Gang, these are cool designs! but anyways I have the feeling I'm not gonna like this episode at all. I know, Bender is a very popular character or maybe the easiest to write but I think he's getting a lot attention, too much in my opinion, oh well at least we're having a Leela and Fry centric episodes (as characters not as pairing) this summer and I hope that I'm wrong saying this but yeah the plot sounds ridiculous.

Or just I'm maybe a little pissed off because they didn't show a lot from Saturday Morning Pit and I hate to wait.  :p

Edit: My first TOTPD.

I like how Fry and Bender are clearly struggling to walk (low gravity?), while Leela's just putting up with it. :p

"DEAL WITH IT"

I like this image, it gives me a much better feeling of how this episode is going to turn out; A bit better than rubbish. Bender-centered episodes are mainly not my favorites...

I think they are deep sea diving. Diving bell with cable, heavy suits & helmets, darkness, beams from lights, etc.

Well if any of you guys actually bothered to check the CC post, you would have noticed the picture is entitled "Leela, Bender and Fry Underwater"...

I like this image, it gives me a much better feeling of how this episode is going to turn out; A bit better than rubbish.

I really don't understand comments like this. How can a single still of a scene that may only last a minute or two change an entire opinion on an episode.

....the episode hasn't been shown yet.
I thought Near-Death Wish would be awful, but it turned out alright.
So this Bender-centered episode could be great.

Well..the present image seems more sci-fi-y, and features the trio.
Which is bound to create a better impression than the previous information:
- Bender looking for his ass (a plot suspected of cheap toilet humor)
- A rather present-day streetgang (risk of being not futuristic enough)

Also, Bender is easy to write due to his over-the-top character. Yet -when being left alone- his random shenanigangs might be a bit too much. So, the image indicated the plot -at least partially- will be carried by the Trio.

So, yeah, I can see why that image is eligible to improve the opinion so far.

I know it hasn't been shown yet ;) Why would it have a promotional image released if the ep was already out...

What I ment was more like how I tought it would be only looking for his ass and be a bit like the start of Free Will Hunting, it turns out his ass might be underwater. what in heaving is his ass doing in the sea?! More interesting than I tought it would be ^^

No irony, I think "Assie Come Home" is such an awesome, hilarious title. I assume people at least get what it's a pun on? Maybe?

The episode looks like a lot of fun to me. As has been said, the main problem with Bender episodes is that he often spends too much time out on his own (though this worked in Godfellas' favor), but since this looks to heavily involve the whole trio/crew I don't see the problem.

I'm guessing he is mugged within the first few minutes of the episode, managing to find his other body parts in a montage or a cut scene. The rest of the episode will have him, including Fry and Leela, hunting the entire Universe for his ass plate...

First episode goof:

- Bending Units are very common.
- Spare bodies must be available, as they have backup units (except one :D)

So, getting another spare part ass plate should not really be a problem.
Most certainly Robots-R-Us will have them available in their stores.

:p

Well it is Benders ass plate, so he probably has alot of fond memories of it and wouldn't accept anyone elses ass plate that easy. I know I would. Plus it's supposed to have a mind of its own in this episode which I'm pretty sure and hope to God is really rare for robot asses to have.

My guess:

The Crud Gang steal all of Bender's body (except for the eyes and mouth, obviously) in order to sell it to someone. Outraged, Bender gets the guys together to go rescue it, in which they succeed, however, the gang have already sold his ass as it is probably the most valuable part (they probably sell it to some space merchant or something). Thus begins the quest to save Bender's shiny metal ass. :D

I think the episode will be fun, to me it sounds like the main trio getting to fly around the universe on a fun/epic adventure, even though it may be for something silly like saving Bender's butt. It is kind of iconic though.

Also, the design for Tarquin is pretty cool. :D

He looks like the Futurama version of the sea captain from The Simpsons. Which gives me a certain expectation for his voice, and I'll probably be slightly disappointed if that expectation isn't met.
