Vaxtron is a cool name, and I absolutely love his design, except for the hair...
I assume he is supposed to represent the "Teeny Idol Type". As if "How I met your mother" replaced Neil Patrick Harris with Justin Bieber...
I can't quite see Justin Bieber being believable as Barney "I womanize in my sleep" Stinson. Can you imagine him delivering an even halfway cromulent performance?
Not at all. I meant my post in a "Calculon's successor might be completely unsuitable to replace him"way, and chose Bieber/Harris as a graphic example.

It's good to know that that really is calculon in his own body. Picture looks kinda classy, I like it!
We don't know that, the still suggests something sinister is going on with the red headband, I'm assuming Calculon is being controlled or possessed by something to do with the Robot Devil.

Upcoming titles w/descriptions for 8 of the final 13 episodes: 2-D Blacktop - Professor Farnsworth joins a gang of street-racing punks.
Fry and Leela's Big Fling - Fry and Leela's romantic vacation goes very, very wrong.
T: The Terrestrial - After being marooned on an distant planet, Fry is befriended by a young monster.
Forty Percent Leadbelly - Bender meets a famous folk singer at a maximum security prison and attempts to make a copy of his precious guitar.
The Inhuman Torch - Bender becomes beloved as a heroic firefighter, but the crew suspects him of arson.
Saturday Morning Fun Pit - The Futurama gang stars in a trio of nostalgic (craptastic) morning cartoons. Calculon 2.0 - To bring his favorite actor back to life, the PE crew goes grave robbing with Bender. Assie Come Home - Bender searches the universe (and beyond) for his missing shiny metal rear end.
Hmmmm, maybe I'm glad this is the last season after all. I had to edit these into sounding better.
MY GUESS ON THE REST... Leela and the Genestalk - Leela discovers her DNA has begun to mutate, causing her to become a grotesque abomination. Game of Tones - A mysterious sound heard round the world marks the beginning.. of life and death games that are about to begin! Murder on the Planet Express - A suspenseful and terrifying murder/monster/mystery set in space. Stench and Stenchibility - Zoidberg finds love when he meets a beautiful young woman with no sense of smell. But a new surgery to smell again may cause Zoidberg to risk losing love forever, find out what happens why not? Meanwhile - Marriage, death, and time travel. It's the finale baby, woooooo!

I am rather unhappy with using Fry hardly as a main character (let alone protagonist) in the last season (even Amy had more own plots). The "average guy's point of view" was a good perspective., and -imhO- allowed a more characteristic and interesting storytelling style than the "Leela and Bender show" we had in 7A. That said, 7B seems to be extremely Bender heavy. Being an "over-the-top" character, Benders works best when served in appropriate doses.

Is Bender without his shiny metal ass still Bender? We will soon find out in the Futurama episode, “Assie Come Home.” In this still image, we get our first look at Bender after his entire body has been stolen by a gang.

That's what I'm talking about, the trash and stuff looks so poorly drawn. Look at the tips of those beer bottles in the bottom left. Eugh.

The background looks like it's been lifted out of the first season,
I was thinking the same thing, I considered time travel but they didn't revert the animation style back in Bender's Big Score, and it doesn't seem relevant to the plot of the episode at all anyway. You know it is possible Bender's eyes and mouth could be going thrown through the air, hence why the background is so poorly drawn, it's probably be wizzing past on screen.

For some reason Bender's parts are CG and the rest is digital ink and paint.
That's why it looks funny.

The line weights are what is really different; Bender being 3D CGI and everything else is regular digital ink and paint.

Yesterday we showed you what Bender will look like after his entire body is stolen in the upcoming episode, “Assie Come Home,” and you must have wondered who could possibly do such a horrendous thing. Well, here they are: The Crud Gang.

I like the alien-y design of cruds. As for the episode, I'm not really looking forward to it. They've already done a plot where Bender has to find his body in AHITP, and while it seems like he'll get his actual body earlier this time, it just doesn't seem that interesting to me.
It seems it's going to be from different perspective though. At least I hope so.

Assie Come Home? The Crud Gang? How can anyone discuss such titled episodes intellectually? I feel like they've reached the "screw it Imma do whatever I can get away with" point.

That's the real reason it's canceled... everyone is bored with it, including CC.. it's reflected in the ratings.. and it's time to end.

I swear they base some of the episode plots on the titles they come up with beforehand... I'm still excited for the episode though, it's obvious something bigger will go down, the basic synopsis usually only takes up a small part of the episode. everyone is bored with it, I'm not... Never will be. Anyway, I'm still curious to find out which episode Bender uses a carrot to mug Fry and Leela... And I wonder if "2-D Blacktop" will poke fun at South Park?
