Vaxtron is a cool name, and I absolutely love his design, except for the hair... :p
I assume he is supposed to represent the "Teeny Idol Type".
As if "How I met your mother" replaced Neil Patrick Harris with Justin Bieber...

I can't quite see Justin Bieber being believable as Barney "I womanize in my sleep" Stinson. Can you imagine him delivering an even halfway cromulent performance?

Not at all.
I meant my post in a "Calculon's successor might be completely unsuitable to replace him"way, and chose Bieber/Harris as a graphic example.

It's good to know that that really is calculon in his own body. Picture looks kinda classy, I like it!

We don't know that, the still suggests something sinister is going on with the red headband, I'm assuming Calculon is being controlled or possessed by something to do with the Robot Devil.

Sounds like teenage boys could be a new market for iRobot.

It also says Bender goes grave robbing to get Calculon's body. I guess that makes sense.

I am rather unhappy with using Fry hardly as a main character (let alone protagonist) in the last season (even Amy had more own plots).
The "average guy's point of view" was a good perspective., and -imhO- allowed a more characteristic and interesting storytelling style than the "Leela and Bender show" we had in 7A.
That said, 7B seems to be extremely Bender heavy.  Being an "over-the-top" character, Benders works best when served in appropriate doses.

There does seem to be a disturbingly small amount of Fry. We do have "T: The Terrestrial" to fill that role, and I suppose you could also count "Fry and Leela's Big Fling". We don't know the specifics of some of the later episodes ("Game of Tones", for example) so maybe they'll sneak another one in there.

But yeah, Bender seems to be getting more attention that usual.

Is Bender without his shiny metal ass still Bender? We will soon find out in the Futurama episode, “Assie Come Home.” In this still image, we get our first look at Bender after his entire body has been stolen by a gang.

To me, it seems like the only sides of the frame are badly drawn. I have no idea of how animation works, but could it be somekind of focusing effect or due to zooming the screen?

Bender without body looks very interesting. I'm hoping an episode similar to "Free Will Hunting", only little better...

The background looks like it's been lifted out of the first season, yet Bender looks computer animated.

The background looks like it's been lifted out of the first season,

I was thinking the same thing, I considered time travel but they didn't revert the animation style back in Bender's Big Score, and it doesn't seem relevant to the plot of the episode at all anyway.

You know it is possible Bender's eyes and mouth could be going thrown through the air, hence why the background is so poorly drawn, it's probably be wizzing past on screen.

For some reason Bender's parts are CG and the rest is digital ink and paint.

That's why it looks funny.

The line weights are what is really different; Bender being 3D CGI and everything else is regular digital ink and paint.

Huh, I could've sworn to god that these guys were from Saturday Morning Fun Pit, especially with how different the background and characters were in the trailer. As for the episode, I'm not really looking forward to it. They've already done a plot where Bender has to find his body in AHITP, and while it seems like he'll get his actual body earlier this time, it just doesn't seem that interesting to me. Oh, and that picture of Bender in the garbage is creepy, and not just because how bad it was animated.

The Crud Gang members looked a lot more Amphibiosan-y in the preview trailer thingy than they do in their design. Their skin was a different shade of green to Kif's though, more similar to Hobsy's from 6ACV12.

Also, I really like the gang name for some reason. Crud Gang. Catchy, I guess.

Well, I'm not feeling very excited or optimistic about "Assie Come Home" after seeing those two images. I'm disappointed with how poorly drawn the first one looks, and I'm not too thrilled about the sounds of "The Crud Gang," even though their design looks good.

This is definitely the one I'm least interested in as of now; I think I'm going to be tired of Bender-centric episodes by the time this one comes around, too.

That's the real reason it's canceled... everyone is bored with it, including CC.. it's reflected in the ratings.. and it's time to end.

I think crud gang sounds harsh, good name for a gang. "Assie Come Home" doesn't sound very good, but we really can't judge by the title...

I feel like they've reached the "screw it Imma do whatever I can get away with" point.

I swear they base some of the episode plots on the titles they come up with beforehand...

I'm still excited for the episode though, it's obvious something bigger will go down, the basic synopsis usually only takes up a small part of the episode.

everyone is bored with it,

I'm not... Never will be.

Anyway, I'm still curious to find out which episode Bender uses a carrot to mug Fry and Leela... And I wonder if "2-D Blacktop" will poke fun at South Park?
