Sounds like a futuristic way to view them, and seeing as it's Futurama, makes sense. Tell them you'll destroy them unless they make it a reality!...

So I got #61, HMITMITW is actually alright, but TTWT could have been better. Will review properly later. Also, the next UK issue is out on the 9th February! 5 months away! What the hell Titan?!

February huh? Still, at least they're more reliable than Otter Press, glad I switched to the comic shop's imports.
I started getting the US editions a couple years ago, and so glad I did - I still check the newsagent from time to time to see what Otter Press is up to, and new Futurama Comics seem to come out so irregularly these days. Not to mention the way they've ruined Bart Simpson Comics (printing two issues in one, then catching up to the US editions so the next issue is mostly padded out with reprinted stories, etc), reprinting things over and over every couple of years ("Hey guys! We only released The Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Crisis a couple years ago, and here it is again... in DIGEST SIZE! Money money money!"). Simpsons Comics seems to be the only Bongo title they release consistently and in a proper form. It's just a shame there doesn't really seem to be another big comics publisher in Australia, because I'm absolutely positive someone else could do a better job. Anywho, absolutely excited to be able to get #57 - it's written by Jesse McCann, who wrote my favourite issue of Simpsons Comics.

I feel this answer requires two spoiler tags: He's back in 1999/2000 but instead of falling into the cryotube a sentient space/time portal sends him to 1899 ...but it turns out he's still in 3010 and was being (steam)punk'd by Ashton Kutcher's head. So yeah, aside from the start and end, noted above, it was a good story with good jokes.

Go check some out Demeter. I enjoy them. But yes, Kazaleh is awful.

Wow, it never occurred to me to buy Futurama comics. As a comics fan, and a Futurama fan, this seems negligent on my part. Although it seems like a lot of negative things are being said...
Actually, they are not that bad. After all, Groening's style is not such a complicated one, and most professional artist get along sufficiently with that. My personal favorite is James Lloyd: His greatest strength is a very fluent, natural page/panel layout, and rather detailed images.

Solicitations for Bongo's January titles are out. lots of reworked logos and fonts. Here's the main one http://theinfosphere.org/Futurama_Comics_59. Sounds like it could be promising, or it could devolve into an Angry Birds parody. I don't have a strong opinion on the Futurama font change, since they did that font on one of the movies. the Bongo logo will take more getting used to.

Wow that new cover looks awesome, they must be preparing for their 60th issue or something.
However, they all (except Bender) look a little goofy, Kazaleh goofy....

There was a comic shop in Edinburgh that sold US copies of Futurama, I saw Steampunk'd on the shelf through the window, but didn't go inside to check it out. Also, Boomsday came out in the US 3 days ago, does anyone have it? If so, how is it?

I've never read a Futurama comic, are they good? Also how is the Futurama/ Simpsons crossover?
Don't expect to much from the comics. Most of them are good but not as good as the show it self I haven't got the crossover special any more but I did have part 2. It was hilarious to see Homer and Bender getting drunk and The Prof shouting at Bart because of his pranks

The comics are a mixed affair, I recommend issues #4, #11, #16 and #21. As for the Crossover, they are all good, but the first two are best. Get the book, it has the lot plus loads of extra cloolsome art. It's a good package, hell we waited long enough for it...

I'm a big fan of the comics, keep me going inbetween seasons. I imagine they would of been gold to Futurama fans during the first cancellation of the show and the release of BBS, as they were the only Futurama items still being produced. (Besides other merchandise, I think...) Also, forgot to mention, a few nights ago, I had a dream about Steampunk'd... It was so weird, it was Fry sat in Applied Cryogenics on the desk, there was like a weird machine from the future in front of him, and he held up a can of Diet Coke or something. On the can it said something about Lady Gaga and "You lost the Game" (trolled in my own dream), and then Fry said something like "With my knowledge of the past I can rule the future by using these cryogenic tubes.", then he drank some of the coke and made like a choking face but didn't spit it out. Then I woke up. I also remember some kind of green portal opening above the machine on the desk.

Like the cover, plot seems "meh", boy that cried wolf type thing...
Plus it mirrors the upcoming 3012 episode, kind of...
