Well that was fast. It was #48, Claw and Order. Page 9. Was that the only appearance or is there more?

To be fair, you can't blame the artist on that one, but the scripter.

I really liked the poster that came with issue #55.  The one with Mom as an octopus and Leela, Hermes, Zoidberg, and Bender were in the car.  Question is, will that be a future comic book story? 

It would be interesting to see what it would be.  Any guesses?

All I know is the writer is Jesse McCann (he's written a lot of Simpsons and Bart Simpson stuff, and has been a Bongo regular since the 90's), with art by John Delaney. McCann is one of my favourite Bongo writers (a Simpsons comic story he wrote is my favourite of the entire run), so I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm sad that the blacklight poster issues have now finished, I can't believe it's already been the full year since it started but it just flew past.

Not sure, I'm in the UK, over here you can subscribe online or you can cut out a slip you get in the comic and give it to the nearest shop that sells the comic, then they reserve it for you whenever it comes out.

ever since my preferred local comic shop closed this year, I went back to getting my comics in the mail. it sucks to have to wait for them for over a week or more rather than getting them on new release Wednesday, and having to pay for shipping, but at least I can now be lazy and have them arrive at my door.

Swung by the comic shop on the way home today aaand the Americans didn't  send them any Futurama, check back in two weeks. Oh well, got my other stuff.

Yeah, the wikipedia listing is usually right. Even though Bongo has only just released the solicitations for October they've "somehow" got what's probably the correct title for January (they've been ahead and correct for several issues). The Infosphere only has information on future issues that can be found by scouring the net for reliable sources, which that article technically is not.

I just got finished reading #56. It was alright. Honestly, I'd give it a 5/10. The jokes were okay. What is it with putting the characters through Hell in just about every story?! Might be entertaining for some but I hate it. Fry is what saved the comic from getting a lower score. He's my most favorite thing about Futurama.

#56 was pretty meh. Sadly I could see it as an episode. Nobody make it into one! For the love of God! And please please PLEASE can Bongo hire a new artist? I'm tired of Kazaleh's work. It's subpar when they get any of their other artists in for an issue or so.

Wow, I am on the outskirts this week. I respectfully disagree with you guys on #56. I laughed on nearly every page.

My favorite parts:

Fry: There's a fifty dollar limit on the card, so no running amok!
Bender: Aw! I never get any amok time!

Fry: If you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean! <---I can't tell you the amount of times I have heard that in my five years in retail

I overall enjoyed the plot of Fry getting power and bossing around Bender and Leela, it was a nice change. This comic was amazing, and actually Kazaleh did alright on this one I thought. I loved the story. I loved the ships! We don't rate comics here...but if I could I would give it 10/10. I thought this would have made a better episode than the ones I had seen in recent weeks.

Hmm, if more people read the comics I would consider making each comic have its own thread. But when there's only like 5 of us reviewing them there really is no point.
