Well, I guess you could heap some of that on me Venus, considering how long I'm taking to do my own serial fic.  Right now, school work is the biggest hindrance, but, after this week, then I'll have a month to write stuff, so, I hope to get a lot of production done.  That, plus, I'm about 3/4ths through a crossover Futurama fiction, which I hope to have up by November 23rd.

Hey, it's a TOTPD, the first one I've had in a while.

Wow that is pretty damn epic. Adn as you should know \m/EPIC\m/ rules. Now if you could get it over 500pages then it would be the longest fan fiction I have ever read

Ish. There's definitely a shippy content, with a bit of both Fry/Leela and Amy/Kif (though more of a sub-plot) but there's a hell of a lot of background stuff going on.

Cheers F_Hil  , whether it's as good as my art (if you count that "good" ), we'll see...though I'm not promising anything.   

500 pages though? That might be pushing it a bit far for me.
350 may be absolute max. It's 270 right now, but still with a fair bit to write.

At least so far the reaction's been positive. Cheers y'all. 

If anyone could come up with a nice title I'd be even more obliged.

My fanfic's first part will barely top 10 pages... I'm the incarnation of laziness...

Expect it on TLZ by Sunday, I'll be done writing by Friday.

Well, I promise you all that UoM will NOT go unfinished. I'm having too much fun writing it and it has built up too much of a following to abandon. Besides, it's all planned out... it would take DEATH to stop me from completing it!

Okay, i'm posting this cause WB asked for it. I'm in no way even close to finishing this. And at the rate i'm going i can't garantee i'll ever finish, i don't normally write and i keep getting writer's block, but at the very least you can see if my writings any good so you'll know in advance whether this is worth reading at all even before i finish it. For those who remember, i'm atempting to write Fry's view of "The Sting" starting right before Leela gets stung up untill she's healed. So here goes:

For the life of him, Fry could not remember having been in more pain. It felt like his insides had been ripped out, set aflame and then haphazardly jammed back in. He wished he could just go back to being unconscious.  Moaning softly, not knowing that the stinger was still inside him, he slowly tried to roll onto his back. This soon proved to be a Big Mistake. As he turned over, the point of the stinger, the roughly five inches that stuck out behind him, snapped off as his weight was applied forcibly jostling the length of stinger still within him sending a whole new brand of pain shooting throughout his body. He screamed.

At the sound Bender swiveled his head around and glared. “Hey, would you knock that off? I’m tryin’ to be a hero over here and your bein’ distractin!”

Fry held his body as still as possible and took slow deep breathes trying to ride out the pain. When it died down to a more manageable level he finally opened his eyes. All he could see was the ship’s ceiling. Ok, he thought, I’m on the floor. Why am I on the floor?
Before he could think about it further, he was distracted from his thoughts by a continuous soft gasping sound. It was coming from off to his right and was making him uneasy though he wasn’t sure why. Wanting to understand what was happening he slowly pushed himself up onto his arms and looked down at himself.  At the sight of the stinger the memories came rushing back. Leela, Bee, Pain, Falling, LEELA!

“Leela?” His voice was hoarse and raspy, so he attempted to clear his throat and tried again. “Leela? You ok?” All he could hear was that soft little rasp. Slowly, trying to keep from jostling his injury he turned his head towards the noise.

“Leela!” She was lying in the same position she had landed in, propped up against the wall. Still covered in blood. Her breathing was terrifyingly shallow and irregular with a slight wheeze to it, like a suffocating asthmatic. Panicked, Fry forced himself onto all fours. Adrenaline surged through his body blinding him to his own pain.

“Hold on Leela, I’m coming!” He crawled awkwardly towards her and leaned himself up against the wall by her side. Though she was unconscious Fry was overwhelmed by the sudden urge to comfort her. He took her hand in his, and was shocked at how frigid it felt. Greatly alarmed he instinctively looked down at her hand and gasped. Her fingertips had taken on a light bluish tint as her body slowly starved of oxygen. Frightened, he looked up to examine her face. It was pale, almost to the point of being white and her lips had also gone bluish. Not knowing what to do, but desperately needing to help her in any way possible, he clamped his hand over her wound and tried to staunch the bleeding. But he was too weak to apply any real pressure so the blood simply oozed between his fingers. Slipping his free arm around her he pulled her down until her head gently fell onto his shoulder.

“Bender..she needs..hospital..” He rasped weakly, the sudden burst of adrenaline was wearing off and he was rapidly losing his strength.

“I’m workin on it.” Bender snapped tersely. “We still got about 20 minutes.”

“She…doesn’t have..20 minutes….I don’t have..20 minutes.”

“Well what do’ya want me to do about it?”

“Call ambulance?…They meet…halfway?”

“Yeah Whateva .” He made the call. “Ok, said they’d meet us in 10.”

Fry turned back to Leela. “Didja hear that?” He whispered softly. “It’s gonna..be ok. Just gotta…keep breathin..an everythin will..be ok.” She didn’t respond. But he hadn’t expected her to. He was just thankful she wasn’t in any pain and hopefully wouldn’t remember very much of this when she, and of course she would, woke up. He gently laid his head on hers and listened quietly to her labored breathing.

Fucking surprise! I finished the short-looking Part 1 of my FIRST EVAR FUTURAMA FANFIC!!!!!!!!111

So anyway as we speak Robiben is kindly beta-reading it... damn you Luis for not being on MSN today! And then I'll make corrections and if Teral is really nice and fast it should be up between tomorrow and the day after. Whee!

Oh yeah, the title, the title... um.......... oh damn I don't believe it has one at this point... well it'll just make the fic's coming out that much more of a surprise won't it? Cheers everyone!

Okay, I've got the first two parts of my other ongoing fanfic, which is just in time for the 40th anniversary of one of my favorite TV shows.  Anyway, here's a spoiler, hope that you folks like it.

The year: 3015

Fry slept, and dreamed.  He dreamt about his wedding day, and how Leela had looked back then, and of the day that he had finally become more than a simple delivery boy.  He saw the day when he’d finally gotten Bender to tone down his evilness just a little bit, which had meant that he’d stopped worrying about finding some of his organs missing and on the black market.  He was in a good place, with friends who appreciated him for who he was, when, all of a sudden, the dream turned darker, and Fry saw something new. A tall man stood in the shadows, and he seemed to be saying something important.  As Fry approached, he could see that the man was gesticulating furiously, as though what he was saying was important, a life-or-death matter.  Fry concentrated harder (something he still had difficulty with), but he still couldn’t make out the words.  At that same moment, he noticed that giant shapes had started to form around the stranger, closing in on him.  Fry concentrated harder still; he had to know!  But only one word got through.

Stranger:  …Leela!

I've got two more chapters to go, hopefully finished by the weekend, then it's on to NMFAG part 4.

Well, after dumping several ideas for titles, and consulting with two beta-readers, one of whom was drunk and one who wanted to be drunk, I have named my fanfic. And, thus, I have shipped it off to Teral. Expect it... soon. Whenever he checks his email next.

It is part 1 of... Dead Man's Tale....

Summary: It had been weeks after the crash that had killed Fry. After a lapse into depression, Leela takes a walk and ends up discovering more than she ever knew about the man she once loved...

Oh yeah and if it's absolutely necessary I'll give another spoiler. But I already did give one when I started writing so I don't know about it...

Current sleep record: 17½ hours (after a 14-day military manouver).

Sorry, I'm really really really impatient... as you can all tell. And that's one hell of a sleeping record, I suppose I can't sleep more than 8 hours straight.

Part 2 due in three-four weeks because I'm a procrastinator, and I need lots of time to consult Luis and Robiben - I mean, my oracles

Well, I sent part one of Leela Squared to Graham at TLZ, so it should be out any day now, unless I need to do anything to fix it.  I'm having parts two, three and part of part four edited now, and part five will come out of me sometime next week, then, I'm going to finish up my other fan fic, and then, then we shall see.

I'm making every effort to get the No Compromises Part II (which finishes the fic) finished this year, so far it's 20+ pages long and still growing.

Attempting to get kick-start Andy into Minds' Apart Part III mode, although his personal life takes percedence over the fic, so it'll be released sometime in the future, just don't hold your breaths, you'll go blue with the wait

Well kids I may have a new idea for a fic (God help us all) I was trying to do some work for my lectures while listening to some Danzig and then when a certain song came on the idea hit me.
Now I know there are alot of fic that expand on the idea presented at the end of the Why of Fry (The Other springs to mind) but this will be my take on it.
Now I don't know when I will start actually work on it, I still need time to work out some of the plot.
The working title for this fic is "How the Gods kill" and I think I might have to put more song references in this one (I do like my song references)    This title might also give you an idea of what the fic might be about but of course I will try and insert some shippyness intot he fic.

Thanks Gort.  I know it might be a little hard for any non-fans of the Doctor's to grasp all at once, but, I've been a fan since '78, and since new eps are coming back on '05, I thought that I'd just have my own celebration as well.  I'll have part two out in a couple of days, 'kay? 

As for the Doctor, he's not teeth and curls, but he is eccentric in this story, and there'll be lots of throwaway stuff in it.  Enjoy!

Well in the event you don't use them, there's gonna be more than enough in my fic to give everyone sufficient nightmares... probably... well I know of at least two scenes coming up (in concrete), but what the hell, I'll just add more.

Also, I predict your fanfic being a shipper fic... am I right? Well yeah everyone's is, but it's fun to act like there's another kind of fanfic out there... actually, there just might be... argh rambling!

When/if I ever finish my fanfic, it'll be almost devoid of Fry/Leela shipping, but will have a few Amy/Kif scenes. Since I'm horrible at doing all this touchy/feely stuff I can't guarantee it to be good scenes.

Operative words here are "when/if".

Chapter 1- Tantalus
It was the hand reaching out through the mirror.
Unknown and scarred by life...
the luring eyes, you had never seen.
You have nothing more to find.

“Darkness. That is all there is and all there should be. All things start from darkness and they should return to darkness.
 Life has been allowed to flourish for far too long. It desecrates the purity that we created. The creations of a foolish sibling. It is time that purity was restored.
 We are nearly free once more. We will be gods again.”


The sky over New New York was an ominous grey, threatening the vast city with heavy showers. Many of the inhabitants of the city had already realised this and left for shelter until it seemed that there was no one left in the city that never slept. In the cities central park one man remained sitting on one of the park benches. He seemed not to have noticed to imminent storm or was simply unmoved by it’s threats. He had far more important things to worry about than rain.

The young mans name was Phillip J. Fry a pizza delivery boy from the end of the 20th century who was accidentally frozen and wound up in the year 3000. That was three years ago. Sometimes he felt that very little had changed in terms of life in the past thousand years. He was still a delivery boy he was still unimportant. Yet he felt that this might not be true.

For the past few months his dreams had been filled with images that he can not remember. He would see himself being frozen and knowing that it was far from being an accident. Some one wanted him here, in this time but he did not know why. Sometimes he would have a moment of clarity they come in an instant and are gone in a flash. What was he forgetting? He looked up towards the sky.

“WHY AM I HERE?” He scream dissipated quickly in the empty park and was replied by a terrible clap of thunder. “Is there any reason for me to be here?” his voice was quiet in the empty park as the rain began to slowly pour from the sky. Then a small voice came into his mind.

“The Other…” The voice sounded familiar but he could not place it. He then thought about the words not caring that the rain was soaking him through.

“Leela.” She was the only one he would ever consider to be his other, his beautiful princess. He so wished to see her face again but he did not know when she would be back.

Just before these dreams started Fry had composed an Opera dedicated to Leela. The actual Opera was a disaster but it had brought the two of the closer. A few days after the show Leela took Fry aside and told him she was going away for a while. She said she needed to be alone for a while to gather her thoughts on all that had happened that year. He did not want to let her go, especially no they were becoming so close but he did not want to control her. He had given her a long hug and told her that he would wait for her. That was nearly three months ago. Everyday he came to this part of the park and would think about her. Hoping that when he went to work she would be there waiting for him.

Fry would not be the first one to admit that he did not know much. What he did know is that he loved this woman and that it tore at his heart every second she was gone.

“Well it looks like I found a little lost puppy.” The voice was soft in Fry’s ear. He lifted his head hoping that this was not another trick being played by his mind. “I’ve missed you Fry.” A soft kiss was places on Fry’s wet cheek. He prayed with all his soul this was not dream.

Oooooh nice... I like it. I'm starting to love the soon-to-be-cliched openings with rain, they give themselves a nice mood. When do you think that fic will be done by?

EDIT: Planning out part 2, noting that the two longest scenes will be very shippy... the 'title' I gave to one of them (yeah I title my scenes when i bengin planning, it helps me remember what is going on in them) is "Too Much Intimacy" if you want to get ideas   

And yeah, it IS what you're thinking. It is.
