Good grief, not at all;) I did hardly do any drawings since the last two years (when I stopped ridiculing the tabletop game Warmachine). The futurama cartoons are the only ones I've done lately...

@nerduk>About Hi-Res images: I usually draw my pictures by hand in rather large scale, and reduce size when scanning. That way, the whole drawing looks more precise and accurate. Should someone be interested, I could send out the original seized image, but -I have to warn you- it will rather be a disappointment. About a coloured version: So far, I did only Black/White cartoons (but I might try some colouring this year). But the pirate ships will appear in another image, and this one will be REALLY detailled. @Everyonwhosinterested: Finished another one this evening:

It's very nicely done, but it gave me a shudder of fear. Imagine if it happened. * tnuk shudders again. @nerduk>About Hi-Res images:
I'd be interested in a high-res as-scanned version of the detailled pirate ship you've got in the works in that case. I can add colour to it myself, I suppose, and then stick it over a shot of a nebula or something for a background. I just can't draw very well (and I have tried), so I'd never be able to produce the initial image for myself. This is the sort of thing I end up drawing. It's one of a series of doodles I did whilst working at a call centre, scanned, coloured and gave a background to. None of them ever ended up looking as good as the ships in my head. The fantasy ones turned out a little better, but overall what I learned is that it's best to leave drawing to the people who actually have a talent for it.

Just two quick previews: Pirate Image Completed (but the complete cartoon will take quite a while) Preview for another cartoon. (Nope...not the last picture, but the second last. The question that remains "Can Fry still mess it up?" You'll find out....also much later, for this is also an 8 picture cartoon. Truth be bold, that image told me I shouldn't draw Fry with dishevelled hair any more..my style is just too far away from Groenings that I could afford a change in hairstyle. Anyway...that cartoon will contain 8 pics, you'll see from the previous pics that this is Fry, so I went for the "GEFY*" drawing technique...(really...that thing will be a long time to draw, and the last picture will be character wise a real horror for me to draw...) *(good enogh for you...) Shorter cartoons to follow will involve: - A distress call from planet Amazonia - A visit to the movies - Leela's catchphrase

Wow, the Space Pirate Ships one is really good. These are great, keep up the good work! (Also, just a side note, this guy appeared on a barrel of beer in Möbius Dick, I never saw anyone mention it:)

Oh wow, you are even more talented than previously suggested!
Hehe, thanks...but I have to admit that rather the Lucasfilm designers deserve that praise. After all, they came up with this kind of starship look...I just did follow their design line. Well...here is another Preview (I cancelled the short cartoons, and will try to finish this longer cartoon (7 or 8 pictures) over the weekend. After that one, newer cartoons will probably take a little longer. My Kung Fu School's Summer Holiday is over, which means I will attend training 2-3 times a week (got an office job..so I desperately need that exercise )

Wow..I announce that Future Cartoons will be delayed, and I am called "awesome" for that...now that's the kind of fans I like Thanks Anyway..finally finished one long cartoon: A post in this forum gave me that idea But the thing is, Fry and Leela can have their relationship only mentioned when the plot demands it, similar to Kif and Amy. We don't need to see them constantly having quickies in the broom closet, or having candlelit brunches in the middle of the work day, or dry humping against the wall. They share a work place, but they can stay fairly professional about it
Can stay fairly professional? Hm..did sound to me rather like a lesson to be learned the hard (means embarrasing) way ) (The lesson that had to be learned by me regarding that cartoon is that the characters look too realistic when drawn large, but...after all the work I put into that one, I am too lazy right now to draw the first image again...)

Classic. Can you imagine those shocked looks going on for four hours? At some time they'd have to go get some popcorn. My only comment is that the dialogue balloons are kind of uneven. Not a major, as it's also part of the charm, but something you might want to consider. I dislike how we only get a side boob shot from leela (more please!) Not really show-able on PEEL. If Inquisitor Hein has done art like that, you won't see it here. But I'm sure he knows the right place to send it...

Great job again! When I first glanced at Fry in the second to last panel, though, I could have sworn he was Frankenstein's monster.

Thanks for the positive feedback Not really show-able on PEEL. If Inquisitor Hein has done art like that, you won't see it here. But I'm sure he knows the right place to send it...
If I've done art like that? Let my friend Dr. Cox answer that question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isnbx7leSKcAlso, the reset button is hilarious, I love how you work it into the strips.
Thanks I like to add some little background gimmicks as running gags... (In fact, I wanted to add an portrait of McZongo trying to look angrily out of the (now blank) little picture towards the bed....just found out this morning I forgot that detail...) Also, are those broken handcuffs on Leela?
More like "opened", for Leela cannot break handcuffs (as seen in BBA, TMAR). Had a pair added as background gimmick in the "Leela's Nightmare" cartoon, and just wanted to pick them up again as continuous background running gag in this one.
