I did a sketch while watching some Futurama, and did a Bender diagram sketch. I would like to apologize for my crappy sketch, quality, and hand writing. You may now view at your own enjoyment. I may also do a Robot Devil(a.k.a Beezlebot) diagram.
Sorry that it's so big I just wanted the text to be readable.

Neat! That presents the question of what features the robot devil would have... Oh and don't forget his third arm that he only uses once for fiddling  ;)

I drew the Robot Devil smaller because he has more detail. Here he is:

Is that #44? Seriously?  We've been doing this too long, Zed  :p I'm scared by your professionalism; the lighting is superb, as is the texturing of the cloth types. And how did you do the background? The rushing lights of the traffic work really well.

But does Amy's skin look a little... withered? Is that a side effect of the lighting, or is it Amy a few years from now?   ;)

All in all, though, I'm a fan   :) The painting like quality and effect is a real winner; kudos, this one's a keeper!  :D

I think my latest one of Leela is #140... :hmpf:
Yeah, it's pretty bloody scary when you think of it. We've been Futurama fan-artists for well over half a decade now...

Yes, moving along, quickly...
Cheers very much though  :D
I am really chuffed on how the lighting came out in the end. Usually I do light effects by using colour dodge effects but not this time, I just found the right colour and put it on. Wacom was a huge help though - that's how I managed to do the rushing lights in particular. Some things I had to use the mouse for - which is a pain when it's not being as precise as I'd like it to me. Problem is that I'm so bloody shaky with a pen I could never draw a straight line or perfect circle or anything like that...

As for Amy's skin, I don't hope it to appear that she's all that much older, if at all. I did try smoothing the lighting effects so there were less defined edges because it did make her look originally considerably older but yeah, couldn't quite perfect it so had to compromise.  :hmpf:

Anyway, thanks again  :)

Inspired by Zed stepping up to the plate...   ;)

ta-da! (or something...), new pic! My first of 2007... (feeling old, Zed; I worked it out, been drawing since 4/2002, but was fanficcing before that... best not dwell on it though, I guess   :p)

Pic started as a fretful 'can I still draw Leela's face?' exersize and grew from there. Opinions, comment and criticism welcome as ever   :)

I started drawing Futurama before 9/11 even happened, I remember because I felt like doing a picture with Fry and Leela to some up my feelings at the time  :hmpf:

Anyway, yes, not to dwell.  :p
Really glad to inspire you because that's a cracking pic, Marcus  :D
I really love the ideas you put into everything. I'd love to know what's going on too, but not in a baffled way - more really interested  :)

Well I have not been as prolific as either of you two, Zed and Marcus but certainly been at it for a while....probably should create some new pics. Well enough of that on to the present.

@Zed, interesting lighting effects going on in this pic. Do you use photoshop or another program like Open canvas for your work?

@Marcus, much like Amy I appove of this pic  :) the dress design is very nice and the someone transparent effect it has.

Hope to see more from both of you.

Many thanks for comments, guys  :D Makes posting worthwhile  :)

The idea of the pic was kind of a makeover thing, Amy giving pointers to Leela... but I was too rusty to come up with a good alternative hairstyle, too unoriginal to design future makeup (Queen Amidala syndrome!), and the dress...

Wu nailed it! I wanted a sheer, see-through effect for the dress, but I just couldn't get it going! Looked fine in the drawing, but not in the colouring/shading (I'd share the results, but it's not family-friendly... for example, originally, Amy was holding out a razor to Leela...  ;) ). Anyway, toned down the pic by simplifying the dress and I'm glad - it looks better this way (a rarity - usually toning down sucks, but this time it was a real improvement on my earlier efforts).

Thank you again  :) Be sure to post any new pics, Wu, and I'll see if I can do likewise - oldies forever!  :D

Cheers again y'all  :)

@Wu: I'm still using PhotoShop 7 - same version I've always had. I'll look to buy a newer version when I get some (serious) money (probably next decade) but it's served me very well these last 5 years. So yeah, if you see how my pictures have progressed over that time it's mostly myself improving my techniques. One thing I will say though, getting a WACOM tablet has made a very big difference.

@Marcus:...Oh my!  :p
Well it certainly worked, what you did.  ;)

@Britchenhauer: That's pretty cool actually. It's closer to the characters than some of the stuff I did early on. Develop your techniques and there's a lot of potential  :)

@ Xanfor: Hah! Quite proud of the wall of shame... I figure it's a failed intervention...  :D Worked out a better way to draw posters etc. now (too late...), as those ones suck ass... Heh, and it's 'Armed and Desperate' - I wanted to stress the patheticness of Bender's crime spree/cry for attention, but couldn't come up with a good way to do it...

(sorry for double post)

New pic! Part of a series I'm thinking of doing, but I think it kind of works OK as a standalone thing; Leela in the Beast with Two Bucks. Buying stuff. For some reason. Anyway...

This is one of the very few times I've emoted with a character in a drawing... poor old Leela, dealing with the creepy chameleon... she deserves better! Maybe in another pic sometime  :)

Any thoughts, insults, opinions etc. as welcome as ever  :)

Ahh Leela truely is the master of disguise :P

Nice pic, the porno dealing monster looks as creepy as ever especailly if you follow his eye line. Two things I would perhaps suggest.

1) raise the end of the porno monsters mouth seems to me that he would probably be smirking

2) Perhpas add a little blush to Leela's face, or a little sweat bead, show of her nervousness.

Other than those suggestions I think it looks great.

Hmm FSB....(cogs spinning up),,,hmmm.."ding" aha. So after her disatrous ventures at the Hip Joint, Leela thought she would try out Hermes suggestion instead but our cautious muntant girl wanted to do some research first. Makes me think this might be related to another pic.

Hope to see more pics of this quality

Ah, a guilty favorite has emerged again.  I speak of Marcus, one of my top five favorite artist in any genre.

I have to chuckle to myself looking at Leela in the sex shop.  All of us know the ultra-conservative, tight-assed Leela would be so disgusted with Fry if she saw him going into such an establishment, but for her to sneak in?  Hilarious!

Good work, Marcus.  This ranks up with the Leela and Fry at the coast pic.

Aw, many cheers, guys  :D

I was kind of proud of Leela's disguise... though I think she looks a bit like a heroine from a '40s crime thriller with that hat  :p But no, suits the environment she's in, I reckon, and shows her nervous, guilty state of mind...

lol, bang on! Ah, Wu, you are my second (taller, brighter, more interesting) self! That or I'm just really predictable  ;) Yep, I've wanted to do some pic(s) featuring the Federal Sex Bureau for ages, finally found an excuse! (still need to work out something involving the tattoos on Amy's butt, though...) And yes, there's more to come in this series, which'll hopefully end up being split between PEEL and TTP as appropriate  :)

I quite like the idea of a slight blush to Leela, though, heightening the idea this really isn't something she wants to be caught buying. As for the porno monster, his bored, seen-it-all-before grimace is in no way modelled on any real adult-film-section assistants I may hypothetically have had dealings with... for researrch. Hypothetically.

Anyway, many thanks again to all who commented, makes posting pics much more fun  :)
