Aw, shucks guys So glad you like it, I'm really flattered. TL: your comment cracked me up! Hee. And thanks for mentioning the collarbones, they can be hella annoying. Procyon: Whoo, yay for Aladdin! And thanks for compliment, and for having the bee in your TOTPD - appropriate, since it's from my fave ep Spacedal11: Whoa, thanks. You're alright! [/Flexo] Sorry I'm not replying to everyone. Let's just have a group hug instead!

Honestly, AsaB, I hardly could decide rather to have a look at your pictures or watch that documentation on TV with cute penguin babies ... Then I've decided to watch the pengu-guins , since your artworks are not running away, but the TV-documentation somehow does. Seriously, your artwork is amazing, I'm really impressed, I ... I don't know what to say else. Keep up the good (art)work. Here a "thumbs-up":

Wow, again, I'm touched. Thanks so much for the compliments, people! You're all veeery sweet. (You hear that? I don't say that everyday, consider yourselves lucky ) No really, merci. TLL: Your cute penguin comment is too cute! Heehee, thanks. Anyway, just letting you know that the colored and somewhat-touched-up version is coming up. Stay tuned...(ooh, a cliffhanger!)

Yeah, I'm curious about the colouring method too, I think its similar to becky's, with the pencil sketch somehow brought to life in photoshop.
The colour makes it look even better (I love the hair and the wrist thingy), except maybe on the pants, where the shading is blacked out. Meh, it might just be my monitor...

Thanks bunches everyone for your comments! Glad you like the colour. As I said before, I'm still not sure which one I like better, but it made me happy you like it. And my colouring method, you say? You're right, I do use PhotoShop 7 (*hands Bender-is-Great and Zmithy cookies*), but no tablet. I just use the crappy mouse. But the method's quite simple, really. First it's scanning (grayscale) the sketch, and after importing it into PhotoShop I start with using the levels to touch up all the smudges. Also used the eraser tool to do that, and to get the outlines cleaner. Anyway, the colour! I put the sketch layer on Multiply in the Blending Mode bar, and keep that layer on the top. That way, just the white bits get coloured, while the actual sketch 'stays out'. Then you make individual layers for each colour (skin, hair etc), which you always put below the sketch layer and just fill the to get the base colour. When that's done, I'd like to shade, say, the skin. So I make a new layer on top of that one. Pick a slightly darker skintone, use the brushtool and lower the opacity to about 20% (but it's depends). Skin is complicated and I've been up to 5-6 layers before, but with this one I only used 3. The wrist thingie was quick. I used a darker colour than the base (on its own layer) and smudged it afterwards to make it blend in. Did the same with the highlight (although picking a very bright colour), smudged and put the layer on Screen to make it 'shine' Hair. Uh, I think I just used the dodge tool for the highlights. And one layer put on Screen, I think. Can't quite remember. As for the pants, I did shade them a bit, but when I tried to do the highlights, they always got kind of shiny I wanted the texture to be mat, and I really couldn't do that, so I just left them like that. You have a point though Zmithy, they look kinda flat compared with the rest. Anyway, I hope that was in-depth enough for you! I got carried away, sorry, tends to happen. [blush-smiley needed to be inserted here] Eep. And Bender-is-Great, I'm glad if I've inspired you in any way, I'd love to see some new art from you!

Leela_kickass_colour Wonderful It's fan-"FemJesse"-tastic! Honestly, keep up that good work and the "legend" FemJesse will have problems to stay in the memory of short-attention span message-board users. Seriously, really good artwork. Looks a bit like the old drawing of FemJesse. Correction: FemJesse's old pictures look like your new art. She followed you - [Winter]"retroperspectivily"[/Winter]!

I just submitted a new sketch of Fry.( http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000903-1/ ) It's my first attempt at drawing a realistic Fry. Needs a bit of work but this was done up when I was ready for bed and almost asleep! I also have other non-Futurama art on my webpage if you wanted to have a look. http://www.jenutech.com I haven't done anything yet in the X-Men Evo style only because I've been racking my brains with other things right now. I've got a couple of other Futurama fan art on the go, I just have to get off my lazy butt and finish them!

TLL: Aw, you're so nice! I am by no means trying to copy or replace FemJesse, whose art is sweet, but the compliment remains. Thanks B-i-S: Way ahead of ya, both seen and reviewed your Fry sketch I was also looking at your other lovely art--you did an Abu sketch, I officially love you! (Yo, Aladdin fan here!) But still, get off your posterior and finish some more Futurama art for us, won't you? Please? Beamer: You're so nice. Thanks, I'm glad all the work, blood and sweat of colouring that pic paid off Procyon: Um...let's say figuratively, simply because it's a cooler word! And thanks for the kind comment. Liked the ear? Finally *someone* noticed! Wouldn't believe the amount of TIME and BLOOD...nah. But thanks! And whoa? TV mentioned me in an interview? Wha? I didn't know, thanks for mentioning *checks it out* I feel proud. And you other, just thanks. No need for quirky phrasing TL, your point remains valid. ^^ So that was a long reply. And just letting you know, I doubt I'll be very productive the following 2-3 weeks, perhaps, school is getting heavy. And stuff, busy, y'know. G'uh!

That's exactly what I was going for No seriously, thanks, you're very nice. But people, I lied to you. I told you not to expect any pics for the time being, but what happens? I get attacked by a sketch bunny, so vicious you wouldn't believe me! (*digresses*) But, since school will be busy for the upcoming weeks, I decided to get it over with this weekend, otherwise it'd have to wait. So, I present you Leela and Fry--maybe in that parallel Roman universe? Poor Fry got the position of a slave, apparently. But seriously. If I ever get a sketch bunny again that involves folds, I'll kill it on the spot.
