Take that Y_L_B! I again rein on the TOTPD for Asa's fan art! Fear me!

You know what? Everyone says this pic is 'hot.' C'mon guys, have more oringinality then that! So I'm going to say 'sultry.'

Now for the pic itself: Wow!          You can almost feel the electrically charged atmospher in this pic. Now Fry only needs a red rose in full bloom clenched between his teeth. On the topic of Fry, is that really him? Afterall, this is Fry, the goofy, clumsy, not-exactly-the-sharpest-knife-in-the-drawer Fry. Though I must admit, it's nice to see him determined and sauve for one. Though I think his hair in the front should be spiked more, and maybe two little hairs sticking up in the back, because at first I thought it was Zapp! Of course, considering your little doodles (I love them. You're talking to a follow doodler here) I knew that couldn't be right. and plus I read your interview. Leela is just perfect. You draw her so well in every pic. I love the way her back contours, the afore mentioned fishnet stockings, earrings, and how her hair falls in layers. All these make for a very realistic drawing. I also love the slight shading/smudginess on the overall pic. It's feels like the air hot and humid, hanging thick like a fog. Like I said 'sultry.' You definitely have a knack for making these 2-D characters come alive. Keep up the great, no, excellent, no, just keep being you! work. Maybe you'll be inspired by the French atmosphere.

I love you Asa. I would marry you but my marraige is already arranged, down to our shared mistress. (It's cheaper than getting one for each of us.) Been a while since I checked, so here's my comments: Great work on the colored shippy, I like the subtle shading, like in the fold of the dress, and in her clevage. Great tango, but I agree that Fry's hair should be more Fry-like.

Heya people, I survived France and I'm back! No really, I had a blast. I went to the Eiffel tower  :D (Yeah, I'm sure that made me gain a few cool points...) But I'm glad to be back home.

And on to the replies:

Cap'n Skusting: The fishnet comment cracked me up. But I mean that in a good way! Thanks x)

Young_and_Angry: The tango best one yet? You beseech me? Oh shucks, I don't know how to reply to such compliments...*pats her back* Danke!

Nasty Pasty: Oh altså, that's an exaggeration about my random doodles. I will however consider it a compliment, thanks for that!

swidzi: I'm glad the doodles made you laugh, that's the whole point (or not, whatever xp) Although I rather like Latin, so they're not totally dissing it (as in Fry's "I don't like it" ) I can't remember what I was thinking at the time, actually! But again, thanks so much.

Zmithy: Yay, you got the double meaning of "handle"! *highfives* And I actually took my sketchbook with me, but whaddya know, I had no time for it. Thanks for the other nice comment.

Krunka_Lunka85: Hey, you're new! Welcome, and thanks for visiting me (mwahaha, you won't get away). And by all means, pick up those pencils and start practising, we all have to start somewhere  :)

Procyon: Once again, you take the TOTPD of my thread! Hee. But you know, I think it's so funny you mentioned a rose in Fry's mouth, because I was actually considering that first--then I decided to take a more 'serious' approach to the subject. A rose in the mouth is sort of comical. And yes, this is Fry, not Zapp! *dies and resurrects* He can be like this. Really. I know he can be clumsy (maybe I should draw another one with them both on the floor and Leela rubbing her sore toes...) but give the guy a break, he has other qualities  And I was also thinking about his spiky hair, but in the end decided that he must've squirted enough of his natural gel to make it stay in place. It just fit the whole atmosphere better to make the hair like that...or something. Although I see your point, and will keep it in mind the next time I draw realistic Fry...spikes! And thanks for all the praise on Leela, I really appreciate it. Btw, "sultry"? I'm totally digging that word. And just thanks for all of your comments, they mean a lot to me and are fun to read ^^
Say, you a fellow doodler? Post, by all means, post! (btw, I've wanted to ask if I may--how old are you? I'm all curiousity.)

Wooter: My first almost-marriage proposal!  How about that, I feel special. Your comments boosted my ego, so now I love you too  :D

Coilette: Hi, welcome to the thread! I also think your art's great. By all means stick around! (Now I just need a few more people to fill the cauldron in my basement.  ;))

tire: Hey Austin! "you've got mail" And thanks for the welcoming.

RS 2thou: Thanks for that, one of your faves? I'm flattered! And thanks for mentioning the interview, I'm also very flattered to have been chosen for that.

Now with that done, I thought I'd post two things to make this point not absolutely pointless.

I feel sorry for Leela, I'm constantly using her for my weird hair experiments...

she be looking a bit slutty <_<

I was bored today and this happened: chibis in colour! So happy, too.

Anyway, I'm really done now. How come all of my posts are the length of a mile these days? Huh? Huh?

@ Asa- I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to France! You already earned lots of cool points with your artwork, but here's some more-     I'd never post my doodles, they suck bad, plus my scanner doesn't work and is stored in the dark recesses of the storage closet. I think the only good drawing I've ever done was one an anime/realistic cross of what I thought's Fry and Leela's daughter would looked like. It was nagging me, so I finally drew it. I'll be 14 in a month in a half.

As for the pictures- I actually like the hair. Reminds me of how it looked in A Biclops Built For Two. The way it falls looks natural, yet un natural, just the way it should when piled and primped upon ones head. The dark line of the top of her eyelid and the plump lips really complete the sultry prositute look, yet her expression is really just mocking you. "You know you want me, but you can't have me." Sounds like Leela to me!

As for the chibi goodness: Like I said, they're going to take over the world. Or I'm going to explode from the cuteness. Which ever comes first. I really like the characters coloring, nice and simple so not to detract from their evilness cartoon cuteness. The border is very nifty, being semi transparent. The red admist the sea of blue makes your name really stand out. The only thing I'm going to nit pick about is Leela's hair. It blends in with the border's color scheme, along with Leela's close, so she really doesn't "pop" like Fry does with his red jacket and hair. It might look better if it was more vibrant like in the show. But I also want to add I like how you subtly colored Leela's lip, instead of leaving it a line. Much like the show and just looks great in the drawing. To iterate, they're so going to take over the world!

Edit: Is it just me or did the chibi Leela's hair change after I visited the thread again? Now the picture is chibi perfect! Keep up the great work Asa!

Thanks so much everyone  :D Both for the comments and your back-welcoming, I feel loved. This is one of the raisins reasons I'm so glad to be home again. That, and being able to speak my own language everywhere. Wait...not counting online typing. Um, moving on.

Glad Leela's hair was liked x) This happens sometimes, you can expect more crazy hairstyles in the future. Sometimes my hand draws on its own *gasp* And yes, Y_L_B, if you believe you can touch it, go ahead  ;)

Procyon, I was really hoping for some doodles from you. Please? You can also just send it my way...*cough* Your call. Also, thanks for telling your age, I'm curious like that. In fact, I grant everyone in this thread the liberty to tell their age! If you want.
Say, you're not going crazy about chibi Leela's hair. I checked PEEL at school and noticed your reply, and when I got home yesterday I changed it. You're right, it does looks much better! Thanks. You learn something new everyday...that, and the fact that the chibis are apparently taking over the world. Well, better than Bush.

I don't think I'll comment on the 'big and bouncy' bit, but I'm certainly thinking something loudly... :p Just thinking it.

And see how effortlessly I'm ignoring the April Fool's pranks?
*points to self a la Fry* See?

Right-o. I'm colouring another picture, and I've already posted the sketch of it, but I'm keeping it a surprise...because I'm feeling unusually evil. No no, all joking aside, it might be up tonight. Or not, if I'm feeling tired. Bets are open!

Don't listen to her! It's all a trick! She'll tempt us with the promise of mesmerizing colors, then yank it from us as bitter revenge against those April Fool's Day jokes! And chibi's are better than Bush! Hurray! Ok, got that out of my system. Feel free to ignore that lapse of sanity...

I bet $20 fake dollars on the beach pic. Just because that one is cleaner and larger than the girls in the drunken stupor pic. I wish it was angry street walking Amy, but I suppose two gorgeous females is better than one!

PS- Even if I did want to find and set up my scanner, I wouldn't blind you with my art work! Maybe I'll write a story based on one of your pictures instead, I think I'd do better at that then art.

But oh, a story based on one of my pictures? That sounds migthy cool, I must say. Keep us updated! But I'm still interested in your art--you won't escape that easily  ;)

Enough babbler. You were right! I'm so transparent, it was indeed the beach pic. Et voilā:

I can escape you easily! Like this. *turns off the computer and never shows up on PEEL again.* Nah, I won't do that. It's still bad though. Don't you like me spending my time praising you instead of drawing? I'm just not talented! Leave me alone!    :p

Now for the reviewing: Hooray! I'm first! Unless someone writes something while I'm typing this. Anywho, I like. The coloring is very simplistic, but coordinates well with the mood of the drawing. The no black lines gives it a very interesting perception (for lack of a better word), which again is great for this type of pic. I also love how that sand is textured, giving it some extra pizazz while not detracting/distracting from the main focus of the pic (i.e. Leela and Amy) I also like the gradient sky and water, without being too obvious. It just flows from one hue of blue to the other naturally. The sunlight reflection on the water is nifty as well. Now for the characters- I like how you added special effects special to each chacacter. For instance, the little shadings in Amy's skin to give her a more 3D look, such as the belly button and collar bone, as well as the lips, since on the show she doesn't have full ones like some other women(such as Leela.) Leela's special feature seems to be the highlights, though I can understand how it might be hard to give black hair highlights(without it looking grey or being blue.) It gives her hair dimension and volume, much like after you get it wet and it drys naturally. The outlining of her eye really makes it 'pop', since nothing else is outlines in black. Amy's eyes also has the outline, but you don't notice it as much because of her back hair and eyebrows. You made Leela's hand smaller, which makes her look more in porportion then the sketch. Again, I also like the two little wrinkles on Leela's bathing suit as well as on Leelas. This, in combination with the other things give this picture a realistic yet still a cartoonish/simplistic touch. Perfect for a day on the beach!

It takes me so long to type my reviews that I'm 5th to review. Darn! Oh well, I do enjoy writing them. Until I realize some of my spelling mistakes.   :p

Thank heaps guys  :D So this style gets a thumbs-up, then? *notes* Will keep in mind.

Nasty Pasty and Wooter, your short yet meaningful comments are appreciated!

Zmithy, Amy hotter than Leela? *tilts head* I guess she could be considered more...sultry...or something x) But I still consider it an artistic compliment, so thanks!

Crazyfangirl, I took a few anatomy and model classes 2 years ago, but it's otherwise all in here! *points to hand* Yep. And thanks!

Procyon, I will stop nagging you (for now!) about your pictures. We okay, then?  :D Right. Your in-depth review makes me really happy, you know. Because you're noticing these little details that I added, like the little sand texture etc. Merci pour tout! Now I can go accomplished to sleep.

Venus, my dear, thank a lot--and the 'gradual fading'? There's a tool in PS that's called Gradient Tool. That and the Paint Bucket Tool are under the same button, so if the bucket is showing in yours, simply right click it and choose the Gradient Tool. It's easy to play with, choose two colours, drag the line and let go--I'm just complicating things. Check it out, it's both easy and handy!

That... is... Beautiful.

The self-inked look gives the picture a more "modern-esque" effect, which perfectly matches the style of the original sketch. The... I want to say "sudden" shadows are a nice touch, and Amy looks extremely nice in red. The whole picture is entirely too gorgeous to put into words.

That is all.

About the age... I guess it's common knowledge, but I'm twelve. Wh00t.
