Anyone know when some new episodes are coming?  Either "Return of the Bling" or "May the Best Stan Win" might air.  Nothing about it on epguides.com nor Wikipedia.

Why can't all Seth MacFarlane shows be cancelled? :(

Maybe because American Dad is actually good.

I watch this show sometimes. It's not that great, but it's entertaining and an alright watch. It varies quite a bit in how funny it, but it has its moments...

Loved these 5 new episodes!  Cops and Roger is my favorite episode of the season.   The only one I didn't really like so much was Bully for Steve.   Can't wait for the new season!

Oh, and since FOX is showing reruns of the latest season, does anyone know when they're showing Don't Look a Smith Horse In the Mouth, Return of the Bling, or Jones For a Smith again?   I had those on tape, but my VCR broke and the tape did, too.  :(

American Dad: Family Guy done right.

So, naturally, it gets no promotion and barely any reairings on CN. There's MORE than enough episodes to air it daily. I'd rather see it get the promotion than Tim & Eric's Awful Show, Good God.

The last episode I watched was "The Great Space Roast", what a great episode. I love the Alien-esque last act, and I love that this show has a definite beginning-middle-end. Roger is the best, he's so freaking crazy.

The Great Space Roast was the first American Dad episode I'd seen it a very long time, and I adored it...American Dad has matured a LOT since it started. When it first started out, it sucked balls, but it's really come into it's own I guess. Not only was the episode funny but it had an excellent plot and even a somewhat emotional ending. Kudos!

So anyway, Season 6 has been good so far. I really liked the 2-part 100th episode and the Halloween episode and I'm really looking forward to For Whom the Sleigh Bell Tolls on the 12th (or the 13th here in Australia-land) because American Dad Christmas episodes are always awesome.

EDIT: My good friend the Internet also tells me that American Dad got renewed for a 7th Season. Link.

It's been all right... I don't like that they've pretty much written Hayley out of the show, though. She always had a ton more potential than Meg.

Wow, I was expecting this episode to be really awesome (because American Dad Christmas episodes always are), but it was even more awesome than I was expecting it to be.

As good as I thought Road to the North Pole was, this was still better.

Woohoo! 'No End of the World Party', yay!

J/k, that's cool :).

I would love to see an American Dad! straight to DVD movie that wasn't like James Bond, Star Wars or LOTR... If American Dad! somehow re-did the Terminator saga, that would totally rock, although; an original not really copy of any one specific movie straight to DVD American Dad! movie would be awesome!

I've been watching this quite a bit lately on BBC Three in the evenings. My favourite episode out of what I've seen is probably "Spring Break-up", that's a great ep. Roger really is in his element, but I have to feel sorry for Steve though...

I got to say this about last week's episode, I know it's redundant Seth MacFarlene thinks his viewers are idiot.  I've put up with a lot from his shows, but last week's episode was just awful with its ending.  I liked the killer hot tub and that it was voiced by Ceelo Green, but the abrupt ending, it's just insulting.

The ending was due to the fact that they originally thought they were going to get cancelled and it would be the last episode. I thought the ending was kind of funny if not a little confusing and disappointing, but it's not like it's the worst episode ever because of that.

As for Seth MacFarlane thinking his viewers are idiots, I'm not sure I understand that reasoning. Idiots don't like when plots are resolved at the end of the episode and don't care what happens to the characters? Either way it doesn't matter because Seth MacFarlane didn't actually write the episode anyway.

Anyways, on to the Hurricane crossover thingy since I'm already in the thread for one of the shows: The Cleveland Show part was kinda meh, but that's probably mostly due to the fact that I don't care for The Cleveland Show. The Family and American Dad parts, however, I thought were really great.

I loved Brian's hallucinations and the stuff with Meg confronting the family was nice. I liked the idea of Stan everything-proofing the house and Steve's architect talk annoying Francine was funny.

Also, I absolutely loved the fact that the old college javelin was finally paid off near the end, only for it to not help at all. :laff:

'American Dad!' was easily the best of the hurricane trilogy. It was a decent episode, though far from a top-tier entry. The other two episodes were awful and mediocre, respectively.

I don't see why people don't like The Cleveland Show. (Let me explain...)

I've only seen 2 episodes, but from what I've seen it seems like a decent show. Someone mind explaining why everyone hates it?

I don't like the Cleveland Show because if we like it, eventually it will lead Seth to believe that it was a good idea. And then we will have the Quagmire show the Brian show, the Stewie show, the Joe show ( I think they call that American Dad ), the Mort show............etc.

PS, I do like Cleveland as a character, and I like the show in general. I simply think that this could end badly if it is liked :p

I like Cleveland as he was originally portrayed. He has just become a black stereotype since then. All his positive traits, the mild-mannered, gentle, treat all men with equality kind of stuff has just been completely forgotten and he's really no better than Peter as a character except he isn't ungodly retarded. That's why I don't watch The Cleveland Show, (also because it's not written that well).

This episode of American Dad was great, so was 'Hot Water!'. The joke with Roger's "girlfriend" was hilarious and I love how Stan shoots Francine at the end after harpooning her. That poor woman.

The Cleveland Show is awful because it's so unfunny. That's its biggest folly. But it's also incredibly lazy (moreso than contemporary Family Guy - and without the being funny aspect that lets Family Guy get away with it). And Cleveland has gone from a good character to someone who's just horrible.

All the characters suck except for Rallo and he's essentially just a mishmash of things I like from elsewhere. It feels like it's trying too hard and constantly has to resort to bringing characters from Family Guy back into it to get our attention.

It's just crap and I can't believe people actually think it's not. I mean... give me some examples of things you like from the show... jokes that you found funny or something.

American Dad really is so underrated.  Fresher plots, better writing, funnier characters, less preachiness,  and no inane cut aways and far less irritating pop culture jokes and references to obscure things from the eighties.

Plus Roger is easily Seth McFarlane's funniest creation.

THe Cleveland Show is just awful.   I liked Cleveland when he was Peter's friend.  In fact he was the only one of them I liked: he was sweet, gentle, mild mannered and acted as a nice buffer to the other's machismo and buffoonary.  Now he's rapidly becoming as much as an asshole as Peter (and he's beginning to surpass Stan who despite a crude drunken idiot actually manages to retain some genuine love for his family including Hayley.)

Testing to see if this thread has some sort of disease...

nope, all good...

I like the American Dad where Stan becomes a traffic warden, I have no idea what season it's from, but when they smash up all their shit near the end, but didn't need to, including that painting of Hayley that Steve was probably jerking off to, funny stuff...

Also the ep with the Delorean, and Steve stole back the gear knob. Yeah...

This year's Christmas special was a decent episode but it's easily their worst Christmas special to date which is a shame because they're usually the highlight of the American Dad calendar.

It feels a bit like they're running out of steam with their bizarre, high-concept Christmas stories and this episode basically fell back into an iffy bit of exploring material the show has touched on under the guise of giving us some softcore continuity porn.

Still, I enjoyed it and it's one of the better episodes that the show has had this season - and it shat all over Family Guy's attempt this year, unlike last year when Road to the North Pole upstaged it.

It wasn't as good as For Whom the Sleigh Bell Tolls or Rapture's Delight, but I don't know that I'd go as far as to say it was the worst of their Christmas specials.

I liked it a lot and it had some really good laughs but I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see Stan kill Nemo. Hey, if wanting to see a Christmas special in which an infant gets stabbed to death with sacred daggers is wrong then I don't wanna be right.

When I say it's their worst Christmas episode, that's only because I think that 'The Best Christmas Story Never Told', 'The Most Adequate Christmas Ever', 'Rapture's Delight' and 'For Whom the Sleigh Bell Tolls' are SO good.

Well I liked that episode very much. I actually think I liked it more than last years. I wish they had done more Omen spoofing but I still think it was a hilarious episode. I love American Dad their christmas episodes alone are what make this show awesome.
