Whilst it's quite as incomprehensible (yet at the same time formulaic enough to be predictable), it at least has the redeeming feature of a couple of decent looking chicks. Plus, if there's ever a finale episode where they all die horribly after making wine from the urine of a poisoned gorilla, I'm going to be watching that one over and over and over.

Bring back Firefly, you evil TV-ruining bastards! Bring back Futurama and Firefly, not this visual pile of runny turds!

Oh my god! Why didn't you tell us someone was holding a gun to your head and making you watch it and buy the DVDs? I'll give Rent-a-Ninja a call and they'll send a guy to disembowel him right away!

I didn't buy the DVD's, Kryten. I watched my friend's illegal downloads. I was giving it a fair chance to prove its worth. Now I know that I wasted my time.

As for you, Beamer, don't make me produce more "anger" gifs!  :p

This was the second best show on the FOX block tonight. (The War At Home being #1 for me.) But even thought it was second best, doesn't make the quality good.

Score: 8.2/10 = B-

I loved last night's episode of American Dad!  It was downright hilarious!  Best episode ever created!  The Indian statue announcing Francine's kiosk, "How!.......Delicious!"  That had me on the floor!  I loved Stan's rocket boot, Roger's pets, Steve thinking he was a werewolf, and Klaus becoming a black guy!  Super cool!  I loved it!

Not a bad episode, best fox show I saw that night, though the only other show I watched was Family Guy which I didn't like.

Over all, a solid and very funny episode.

Anyone notice American Dad is not shown on Adult Swim anymore?  Why is that?  Also, American Dad is not coming back until late April!  Now "Free Ride" is in it's place for the time being.

This past episode was pretty good, however not as good as "Finances with Wolves".  The parts about Steve and Roger with the delivery man were cool as were the pot party with Hayley, Klaus, and Jeff.  If fans have to wait until April for new episodes, we will.

Have they been slow in getting the new episodes out? Or is it just FOX?

I never know when new Simpsons or Family Guy are on anymore, so I always miss them, and I'm starting not to care.

The break is longer because it's the end of the first season (at least in production order, anyway).  American Dad will return in April, and the DVD should be coming out very soon (it comes out late May in Australia, though the Region 2 and 4 DVDs will have 19 episodes).

American Dad sucks. Sorry but it's nothing compared to other shows on T.V. it's just Family Guy with different charicters.

Pffft. Did you see Family Guy tonight? American Dad, while it's not stellar, is clearly the better show. At least American Dad in entertaining, Family Guy has just been crap for months now.

newhook_1 is right. The new episodes suck, and the only way to get a real laugh out of the old ones is if I get amnesia or something.

American Dad and Family Guy seem to be two halves of the same show. American Dad has alot of the family development thats been missing from Family Guy, but American Dad is missing some of the randomness that Family Guy seems to have in abundance. Both shows are good, but I think it would be better if they favoured one over the other.

*bump*

*shudder* Man-boobs. I think I can still see them when I close my eyes.

Other than that, last night's episode was fun. Though I'm probably going to hell for laughing at all the "handicapped Mafia" jokes.

I though the episode was great. The man boobs were a little disturbing, but I thought that made it a little funnier. Last weeks episode was also pretty good, though I can't remember much about it at the moment.

I loved this episode!  American Dad just keeps getting better and better!  I liked the party, how Francine get entangled in the 'handicapped Mafia', and I liked how Stan was trying to show Steve that the popular kids were using him.  Awesome episode!

My review of "With Friends Like Steve's":  The best parts are when Hayley and Roger go to that fratarnity and Roger becomes the life on the party and forgets about helping Hayley approving a class involving Eskimo studies.  Plus, Steve going to that work camp that was run by bumbling drill sargents.  Totally funny!  The most ironic thing was in the beginning was Steve was bored and fed up with going to do things with Stan and at the end, Steve had to use the skills Stan taught him.  Who would've thought that Barry would have an evil side?  The way Barry bonded with Stan kind of makes you wonder what kind of family Barry has. Great episode!  I give it 4/5.

We kind of noticed that stuff...

It would have been an okay episode had they made Barry's transitions more believable. It seems like all the character's interactions are forced and completely incoherent. Their actions and reactions are just too wacky for a show that's supposed to be so realistic. It might be fitting for FG where nothing makes much sense, but it's just weird in American Dad.

I liked the episode overall, but I agree that Barry's transformations should have been made more believable. It was a little too strange at first to find funny. I liked how it played out in the end, for the most part, though.

I saw Roger 'n Me yesterday (the Season 2 premiere). Pretty funny episode - Roger stole the show. The sub-plot was kinda lame though, but oh well...

The Season 1 DVD comes out here in 2 weeks!  :)

I know I mentioned this before, American Dad is never really shown much on Adult Swim, anymore.  It's only on for a few weeks, then it's gone.  Some weeks ago, TV Guide listed the episode, "Deacon Stan Jesus Man" was going to be aired on FOX, instead the episode, "Stannie Get Your Gun" is played.  What went on with that?  When American Dad is shown on AS only these episodes are played:

Pilot
Threat Levels
Stan Knows Best
Francine's Flashback
Bullocks to Stan
A Smith in Hand

Did anyone like the season finale Tears of a Clooney?  I did.  American Dad is coming back September 10th.  Along with Family Guy.

I think AD's a good show, I'm not quite sure how long it'll last since it's been put on hiatus and given different timeslots, and you know what happens to a show when Fox does that

I like American Dad and don't question the quality of the show. I think it's a vast improvement over Family Guy and it proves that the Fuzzy Door crew can work with jokes that don't rely on pop culture cutscenes.

Stan Smith is also one of the hottest cartoons on TV (That Guy coming in first!).

The season premire was excellent!  Steve getting sent to a refugee camp and Stan tries to show Steve and the refugees a good time a'la summer camp!  The season so far is off to a good start.  I just hope the season doesn't get split again to make way for some worthless replacement show.  And I hope AD comes back to Adult Swim and doesn't show the first few episodes non stop.

This episode was pretty funny, i like How AD can make controversial jokes that are relevant to the show, rather than FG attempting to be controversial in their retarded flashback scenes

Last night's American Dad was awesome!  It was hilarious when Steve was going to introduce his fat goth girlfriend and Stan freaks about appearence and starts to obsess over his own.

It was funny when Stan got anorexic and he meets that girl in a treatment center who teaches him to hide food.  The whole scene where Francine falls into the pool of his food was hilarious!  Stan's emaiciated body and "Zack" were funny too!   Awesome episode!  This show just keeps getting better and better!

How many seasons are there?
Has the show been cancelled?

1. There are two seasons at the moment, though debatably three broadcast seasons - there was a break after the 7th episode, some people consider 8+ to be Season 2, though the first production season only had 19 episodes... and the first four episodes of Season 2 aired at the end of last season, too, so, nobody knows. At any rate, we're on the second production season now.

2. Nope, in fact, a third season is already in production.

I liked last night's episode!  It was cool how Stan revealed how he got his confidence back, and how Francine and Hayley were maids, and Steve and his friends at the drive-in were all cool!  Plus, the "Roger's golden turd' storyline picked up from where it left off.  Looks like American Dad along with The Simpsons and Family Guy won't have new episodes until November, obviously to make way for the World Series I believe.  Overall, great episode!  My favorite parts were Bullock playing a banjo and Stan getting stuck in a mailbox!
