In the OVA's Mihoshi is related to Mihoshi.

It is revieled that Ayeka had he DNA modified so her hair would be something that Yosho would like. Her real hair is actually more like her mothers and Sasami's.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that she's related to herself in every version of the series.

That makes sense, I suppose.  I always assumed that she got her hair color from her dad; but then, maybe he looks completely different in this continuity.

What I was asking was if they were related in the novels as well as in the OAVs.  The novels branch off after episode six, so that is before the episode where Washu tells the tale of her lost child.

Great link by the way.  Notice that Tenchi's mom is not named Achika in the OAV continuity.

From left to right: Naja Akara (possibly related to Kagato but this is not revealed in the novels), Washu Hakubi, Niwase Mikamo (Washu's former husband), Mikumo (Washu and Mikamo's son)

No I have not but I hear it might be related to the Tenchi universe. Apparenlty the mech at the end of GXP is similar in design to Dual's

@David A: I would not be surprised considering the whole series is full of parodies. Hell the ugly puchuu's face is a tribute to Golgo 13 (man that film sucked)

Ropponmatsu 1 and 2.  They are my favorite Excel Chars.  Dual androids built for city defense.  Their creator is something like an extremely perversified Proffessor Utionium (Speaking of which, do NOT watch the final episode...[trys to stop laughing]).  Neither one has any qualms with trying to seduce the main characters.  And generally they add a good ammount of android-y goodness.
