The Doctor should regenerate into a bear. Then he should go on a mauling spree throughout time and space, before finally being placated with a large, fresh, salmon.
But it should be a female, handicapped, lesbian black bear of Jewish belief (We want be politically correct here, don't we ? )
No. We most certainly don't. It should be a male bear with deep seated misogynist and homophobic issues, who is a perfect specimen of physical fitness and looks down on those who aren't. It should also be extremely dismissive of the TARDIS's feelings.
Then that bear should regenerate into Tom Baker.
"Jellybabies" in German are called "Gummibärchen", which basically means "Jelly BEARS". Had they used the German language for Doctor Who (which would not have been too difficult, as even Monty Python managed to conjure up three appropriate episodes), I could have made an obvious and appropriate joke about a bear and Tom Baker. But yet, as the producers took the easy way by sticking to their English mother tongue, Peel will be deprived of said joke. Though I suspect the Doctor Who writers can live with "some random idiot on the internet not being able to make an idiotic joke about Doctor Who, Tom Baker, Jellybabies and a bear".

As sad as I am seeing Matt Smith leave the show, I'm glad that Pete Capaldi is on the show. Both are great.

The only time I've ever seen John Hurt on screen was in a scene where he was giving birth, so to speak...
I've not yet had the pleasure of seeing any of Mr. Capaldi's work.

Thanks for the tip! I *did* see The Fires of Pompeii (one of the few modern Who eps I've seen) but it was so long ago I that can't recall any detail.
