Anyway, the ceremony scene at the end seems familiar. Yes, even down to the music and the rapid iris out at the end. Why must the Hub have run ads over the credits?

That's why you watch it on YouTube after watching it on Hub... or skip Hub all together. Anyways, I totally got the reference as soon as it started playing. THAT is how big a Star Wars nut I am.

Personally I prefer FiW to the MA series.  The MA series is clearly trying to adopt the Yugioh abridged format, but I've not seen anything approach that level of humor and interest as the original.  The FiW has wonderful voices and synchronization and basically rewrites the story.

Did you draw it from scratch?  I've played with the pony creator someone perhaps made, but what most intrigues me would be the ease to create ponies of my own imagination directly.  It's nice at any rate RS.  I can see you with yellow lenses perhaps.

Also for the record, my favorite is Fluttershy. And I've watched a couple more episodes tonight and I've come to realize why people like this show so much. It is very addicting to watch, even if the plots are directed at children. Granted it doesn't have the same pop culture humor like the PowerPuff Girls and it does come across as 'girlier' but it's a cute show. I don't understand the whole bronie thing though, as in why do so many guys like it?

Thats kinda why I like it, but then again I don't like watching Japanese cartoons. So as a geeky guy I'm already strange like that.


Pinkie Pie is my favorite, just like the crazy stuff she does. Then in the following order: Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity.

Guys like many of the same things that girls do, just as girls like many of the same things that guys do. This show merely opened the floodgates of admitting it for a large portion of the internet populace. It doesn't hurt having characters that are not only super-cute, but also solid characters.

Historically, the term was used to refer to the substance a unicorn's horn is made out of, in addition to the horn itself. In the context of this show, according to one of the storyboard artists, it refers to whatever species Princesses Celestia and Luna are supposed to be. Winged unicorns? Horned pegasi?
