That hair he had in beetlejuice was amazing.  You could've broken a 2x4 over his head, and his hair wouldn't have moved...

RIP Rich Cronin

Not that I was fan of LFO or boy bands in general, it's just tragic he was 35 and he lost his battle with cancer.

Will I miss Big Brother? Well, I went out of my way to miss it when it was still on!
*badoom dish*

Thank you, I'm here all - no actually I'm gone...

Was laying some flowers on my grandmother's today grave because it's the 4th anniversary of her death this weekend. My grandpa got a old milk-bottle with some water in it from behind a nearby grave so we could give the flowers some water. I went to return the bottle when I noticed that when I came across the grave where my grandpa took the bottle, there were actually two graves, almost identical. Both belonged to the same family whose surname happened to be "Folkes". At this point it struck me. "Which one of these Folkes do I leave it with?" I  cried out.

No one found it funny then, either.
More a case of having people rolling about below the ground! quit while you've a head, Douglas...

RIP Gloria Stuart

Long time Hollywood actress perhaps known more recently as old Rose from James Cameron's Titanic, passed away at age 100.

It's sad because I just bought the three disc edition to Titanic.  Ironically, she passed away in her sleep just like in the end of the movie.

Hollywood has lost it's class & elegance.  It used to be filled with larger than life stars.  Now it's filled with paris hiltons, lindsay lohans & kim kardashians.  Ugh...

When I first saw Airplane, I didn't recognize her as the "jive" woman.  Finding out later made me chuckle; some casting director had a lot of fun with that movie.

Well, I still follow wrestling news and it's sad to hear about wrestlers I've watched on TV for some time just suddenly pass away.

As for here, I find about celebrity deaths thanks to yahoo news.

speaking of which another iconic cartoonist has passed

RIP Alex Anderson, co-creator of Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Bullwinkle, and Dudley Do-Right.

I know Jay Ward was more well known, but Anderson was also behind the show.  I used to love watching Rocky and Bullwinkle on nick.  If it weren't for this show there be no Simpsons, Futurama, Rocko's Modern Life and others, since the people who work on those shows cite that Rocky and Bullwinkle was an inspiration.

I used to love watching Rocky & Bullwinkle as well.  When I went on my 3rd job interview out of college, the interviewer gave me the stupid standard "sell me this pen" sales test.  So, I did it... with Rocky & Bullwinkle voices.  The interviewer was PISSED; he saw it as a disrespectful swipe at him (which it was), but it got around; I ended up being offered the job.  True story.

I saw a TV biography about him, and he got into comedies as a lark.  He was this very serious actor for decades, and was always cracking wise between takes of whatever project he was on, putting whoopee cushions on chairs, etc.  Finally, someone suggested he try comedy, and he hit his stride with Airplane.  Funny, funny guy...

They keep taking away the people of Airplane(!)! I am very sad, Leslie Nielsen has always been a funny guy, everything I've watched him in has made me laugh. I can't believe he was only 84, he looked 84 back in the eighties.
