Too much to answer... But i'll try.

I don't think that dan's dead, him and his peeps are still floating about.

Michael is def dead. (Harold Perrineau said so) But i think that is nice, he served his purposed, he wanted to redeem himself and he had.

Jin, again, i think he is dead, but this is lost so i'm probably completely wrong.

The Island, is going to be REALLY interesting, even though the a lot of awesome character are no longer on it, i'm interested to see what bad things start happeing there, and why Charlotte had been there before.

I think next season, the story will probably continue the timeline (2004 is it?) with peeps on the island and the peeps getting back to normal off the island with flash forwards to getting back? Or... Peeps on the island adjusting to the move, with the peeps off the island in the future trying to get back with flashbacks to inbetween?

My head hurts too now...

As what you guys have been saying, the dynamic of the show is going to change.

Im kinda excited for next seasons characters because with the exception of Locke and to a lesser extent Sawyer they were all extremely underused plus we now have three new interesting characters.

My theory I came up with on the narrative structure for next season in am msn conversation with a friend. There will be different episodes island present and non island present but each episode will always feature the island.

Island: flashbacks to characters still with story (all ones with dead story are now off island)

(remember Sawyer still might have a tale to tell he had no backstorys this season, Juliet still may have something, also other characters)

Non island episodes: Flashforwards to when they reach the island again

K, w/e Jin is alive, you'll all see!

Wanted to bring something up about the 4 toed statue.  There is a show on Disney channel called Phil of the Future, and it's about a kid whose family time travels back to our time.  Not the point, but I'm getting to it.  In one episode, Phil finds out that humans in our time have 5 toes.  Humans in his time only have 4, because they evolved away from the need to have a pinky toe.

So, with all the time traveling stuff that I guess is happening, could it be possible that people from the future built that statue, and they only had 4 toes?

I watched the finale again. Dan's definitely still alive - you can see him in the raft with random extras just before the island disappears. Though I've no idea what's going to happen to them now that they're just stranded in the middle of the ocean.

Jin MAY still be alive, you never know with Lost. But I'm leaning more towards no. And Michael's definitely dead, because he was a horrible man who should be shat upon by all of mankind forever. Fuck you, Michael!

The island has not only moved location, but time as well. Which would make sense given what Ben was doing with the time machine in the last episode.

@Beams: Yeah pretty much. It's moved in space and time. But to where? And when? And how do the people on the island now know where they are (maybe they have a clever location device)? What about Dan and the rest on the Zodiac!  They could've been in the same vicinity as Penny's boat when they collected the peeps from the Helicopter... grahhh... what a slight miss!

I made the assumption it's been moved to late 2005 where Ben wakes up in the Orchid suit. Hence its dissapearance, it doesn't exist in 2004.

Sorry to jump in and refer to some earlier posts on this page, but...

There's no way Jin is dead. I feel only one major character dies near the end of each season and that character this season was Michael. I think Dan will pick up Jin in the raft. He was heading toward the freighter anyway and would definitely search for any survivors. Jin was on the opposite end of the freighter from the explosion, running for the helicopter, and I'm sure he jumped off and survived.

Also....Sawyer and Juliet. Be on the lookout for the hook up!

is a guy in spain who makes Lost like comics (a parody) called "Pardillos" (a play with the spanish word "Perdidos" (Lost), Pardillos means "naives" ..more or less.
but i just love how he sticked Bender as  Sayid and how he characterized the black smoke and the bears
