It's great - the only non-comedy show I watch. I wouldn't say that they don't totally delay things though, since they're always finding ways to stretch it out (eg. giving Michael that other cellmate for an episode so he couldn't do any work on the breakout). Still, you're right, it's certainly not like Lost, with so many questions and so few answers - they move it along at a steady pace. Shame the show's premise only really allows for 1 or 2 seasons at the most, though, since he's only got, like, what, one month to break out? But hey, then again, 24's been going for 5 years and only 5 days have passed in that.

The flash backs help set up some story. In Lost they use flashbacks to show the background of people which isnt very important.
And prison break dont stretch it out, they have obsticles. In Lost, they have all this crap like computers, and hatchs and others. Nothing new comes out in Lost...ever.

You're from America though, so you get them before anyone else. YOU try waiting 3-12 months for new episodes to make it to you.

They only did the flashbacks because it would take an entire season to show what happened first before they got to the cool break out strategy.
I hope they dont kill the show by dragging it out TOO long like Lost did.

SBS is a super-liberal channel that caters to Australia's multi-cultural market. They show foreign shows during the day, and their original programming usually consists of news and documentaries. There is some good stuff they have to offer, though, such as South Park in a great 8:30pm Monday timeslot, and plenty of borderline soft-core foreign porn movies at night. Originally posted by DarrinPA: I like how they are stealing LOST'S idea of flash backs... Yes, because after all, Lost invented the concept of the flashback. Just because they're doing an idea that another show has done recently doesn't mean they're stealing it.

Prison Break is on Channel 7. SBS and ABC mainly cater to either Australian or other non-American programming (SBS has a lot of foreign-language programming, ABC has a lot of british shows). Channels 7, 9 and 10 are the more mainstream channels - 7 and 9 are often in direct competition with eachother over the 30-50 age demographic, Channel 10 seems to cater more to the teen-30 age group.
Anyway, Airbag, apparentally this week they're doing a special that goes back and explains everything that's happened in Prison Break up to this point, so if you're going to start following the show, now seems like a good time to do so.

I know many shows have done this but for right now that is probably why they are doing it. Well if Lost didn't create it, then they must have stolen it from another show. Probably a show that got cancelled? Can we stop talking about stealing ideas? The idea for the flashback came a long time before Lost, Prison Break, or probably television. Maybe the movies did it first? At least Prison Break isn't doing the flashback thing every week. And when they did the flashback episode, they didn't have the characters run into eachother before they were supposed to meet. Except when Linc ran past the spanish guy. In TV Guide or something, it said after watching that episode, your alliances with a character would change. Did that happen? I liked this weeks episode, I wonder what's up with that guy, did he really forget, or what?

I didn't know that 'special' episode was going to be on last night. I really wanted to see a new ep. But I still got shivers down my spine when they played all the coolest bits with that mad music.

No, it was a special behind-the-scenes one they did which sumed up everything from the beginning to now in Prison Break.
It was aired in Australia, I don't know which country you're from so I don't know if it was the same episode.

It was called "Prison Break: Behind the Walls" or something... either way, it definitely would've aired there a while ago, since it only covered the episodes that have aired down here, and we're still pretty early into the series. The last episode that aired here had Michael getting Falzone arrested in Canada, and ended with the black guy (C-Note or whatever his name is) joining the break, so that gives you an idea of where we're up to.
