Which characters do you think could have had more lines, more episodes devoted to them and more over all screentime?
I think Hermes is among them. He is normally just there to say something witty once and a while and then disapears the whole episode. He did get one episode, but I don't think that he was used to the fullest. He had the capacity to become much more.
I also think this would encompass nibbler. Nibbler is very important plot-wise, but other then the first episode he was in, "I second that emotion", and "The day the earth stood stupid", he didn't really do much of anything except act really stupid. The Nibbloidian sub-plot could have been explored some what.
Zoidberg could be in this catogeory. An episode he has to himself could be described as a "Why Must I Be A Crustacean in Love?-tacular" or a steaming pile of "that's lobstertainment". If used correctly, he can be good, but if your over-exposed he could lose some of his character's "charm".
I guess this might be apply to Amy to some degree. An interesting back story, and defintatley had the capacity for being a main character maybe even be amongst the "big three" to make them the big four.
Kif's screentime in Futurama is criminal. He's more like a recurring extra. Hardly any backstory, and his role seems rather limited.
If only futurama could have had a course approaching that of "The simpsons". That's probably why the simpsons could support such a wide range of characters. 84 episodes seems like far to few to get to know them. Unless we get it from a new medium, such as a movie, we just have to live with their current state of devolpment.
Discuss.

A poll turned out that Peelers wanted more of Amy (Though it only got two pages far) Chump tried nearly the same thread, though it only got 13 posts and forgotten 3 years ago. I think there should have been more episodes involving the battle against Mom (or her love to the professor)
