Hermes, Amy, and Zoidberg got enough screen time, in my opinion. I mean, part of their charm (albeit, annoying charm, but charm, nonetheless) was that they were always funny when they were used. But, a lot of the episodes that focused on these three (i.e., "How Hermes Requesitioned His Groove Back, "Where the Buggalo Roam (more a Kif-centric episode, but also Amy), and "That's Lobstertainment!" ), weren't as funny as the episodes where you focused on the 3 primary characters, but threw the others in for flavor (I just got really hungry all of a sudden).
Anyway, characters that should have got more screen time...
-Mom: There should have been more of a backstory with her and Farnsworth. And the three stooges...er...sons, of course.
-Zapp and Kif: They were funny apart, but hilarious together. As the series progressed, the writers started using less and less of these two, but nothing can beat the season 1 and 2 episodes that focused on the duo. (And also, you know, "Amazon Women in the Mood" and...stuff.)
Also, Hedonism (or Hedonist?) Bot really pissed me off, for some reason. He should have gotten less screen time, especially in TDHAIP. I mean, he was okay in small doses, but he was overused in the finale. They might as well have called it "The Devil's Hands Are...Oh, Look, Hedonism Bot!" (or, you know, something slightly more clever). I just didn't find him funny is all.
