One has to wonder if that's a victory flag.
Well...it's rather overobvious what happened: - The PC crew was playing paintball - Only Fry and Leela were left. - Fry took off his clothes and put up some improvised "scarecrow". - Leela mistook that decoy for Fry from the distance. While she approached it, Fry managed to sniper her from another hiding place. - After that, he puts up this victory flag. The image is meant to leave the viewer wonder wether Leela will be a) A bad loser ("That was unfair and doesn't count") b) A good sport ("That was a good trap..congrats on winning") Yep, sounds logical, and I doubt there can be another explanation for that picture

Thanks for the link, Just Fan. I was already looking forward to "A Farewell to Arms" more than I was "The Bots and the Bees," but that little shippy tidbit just made me ever more excited for it. Actually, despite some of the lewd and seemingly character- and relationship-mucking things we've seen in the Countdown previews, I'm pretty pumped for 7A as a whole--definitely more than I was for 6B.
Maybe this is naive and overly-optimistic of me--and maybe I'll wind up disappointed fourteen or so weeks from now when this season has aired in its entirety--but I can't help but wonder if this year the writers really have, like, gotten their groove back and hit their stride and [insert "they're back, baby!" cliche of your choice here]; I'm really thinking this season has the potential to be the best one they've done since the show's renewal.

The show has the ability to be both hilarious and genuinely affecting, such as in the tear-jerking story of Seymour, Fry's dog, in "Jurassic Bark". Likewise, your eyes won't be dry at the end of "The Bots and the Bees."
Called it! Also, bad news UK fans, the Season 6B DVD/Blu-ray, which was originally planned to be released on Sept 24th, has been pushed back to March 5th 2013! Anywwwaaay... I promise you that if you like Futurama this season will not disappoint. Even if you have never seen the show, it's never too late to start (but you can start on Netflix Instant!) [fatbot]OH BOY OH BOY![/fatbot] So pumped now. Been waiting far too long. Also: I'm also personally a fan of the show's title card gag, a Futurama Fry meme that reads "Not sure if new episode or just rerun of episode I watched drunk." *edit* I posted a link to the review of TBATB and mentioned it looks like the new Jurassic Bark, Eric Rogers responded with: "nah, it's not. I think we have a couple others coming up that are more in line with Jurassic Bark."

Actually, despite some of the lewd and seemingly character- and relationship-mucking things we've seen in the Countdown previews,
I guess the Leela/Fry thing -becoming a story arc- will not always be subtle/serious, but also often the subject of ridicule in the new season.

Seems like "Fun on a Bun" is going to have a cryo heavy theme to it. Excellent.
If this is correct, I am instantly going to love it. *edit* Looks like CC got the ep name wrong yesterday, it is 'Fun on a Bun'.

it's Fry & Bender with a box. they die (& aren't in the rest of the episode?)
No. The screenshot showing completely upgraded Hermes has Fry and Bender in it. I like Hermes question, though: With everyone of the trio being able to pilot the ship, every one of the is easily replacable by the rest. Though no main character will be cancelled, it's nice to see that "replacable" matter at least spoken out loud for once. Leela's line (a rather evasive answer) is imhO also quite fitting: None of the three could by now find a reason why money should be wasted on him/her, instead of saving the cash and let the other two handle the ship.

This is how I see it so far:
"Bots and the Bees" will exceed expectations. If there's one thing the writers of this show do consistently well, it's the episodes that try for emotional appeal, and that's what they do in this episode according to the very positive review that was posted earlier.
"Farewell to Arms" looks like it'll be really good. I loved the clip from the preview. They have a ton to work with in a futuristic end of the world plot, and as long as the Fry/Leela stuff doesn't come across as overdone or sappy, this will be a very solid episode.
"Decision 3012"-It depends. If it's a general political satire episode, like "A Head in the Polls", it can be really funny. But it could be disappointing if it's too closely related to current events in the United States, such as Proposition Infinity (Proposition 8 in California). Since they mentioned a sci-fi twist, however, I'm slightly leaning towards the former. And I want Nixon to stick around, I think he's a riot.
"Thief of Baghead"- I honestly can't tell about this one. It's an interesting premise, and it has the opportunity for a lot of great Bender lines, but I can't predict this one. I did enjoy the clip, though.
"Zapp Dingbat"- This one I'm really curious about. They'll have a ton of questions to answer in this one(Where does Morris fit into all of this? Could it be one huge failure to communicate? What about the shark people?). If there's no sex they'll avoid a lot of the potential controversy, but if there is it's very likely people won't like this episode.
"Butterjunk Effect"- I notice a lot of people are wary of this one, and understandably so. The thing is, I think the writers are deliberately leaving something really integral to the episode as a whole out of the previews to confuse people.
"Six Million Dollar Mon"-The clip was good, and the few episodes that have centered around Hermes have been pretty strong. As long as it doesn't get cliche as far as the suggested "Be comfortable in your own skin" message it'll be a solid episode.
"Fun on a Bun"-No idea. The previews have been very inconclusive. But it sounds like it could be extremely memorable.
That's all I got for now.

Funny few boards, I loved Bender's "3rd place?! This is the greatest injustice Germany has ever committed!" and Zapp's "Ah, Leela, we meet again but this time, I'm the one criticizing the sausage!"

Fun on a Bun couldn't be the "Fry taking the Gang to his time to see his family" idea they were wanting to do for the longest time, but couldn't think of a way to do, could it?
The "going back to the 20th century" might be one of the series' most interest provoking plots. Therefore, I am quite sure they would have announced it in the previews. So far, FoaB's description seems to remain silent about an integral part of the episode. After all the fatal injuries we saw on the characters (one of the most extremes Fry being ripped to few remains in "Rebirth"), even a "horrible accident" does not longer appear as something to worry about. So, it seems probable the "horrible" does not refer to the degree of physical injuries sustained, but the episodes sci fi aspect coming into play here.

I'll second that, UrL. Also: I have to wonder if a rivalry will develop between Fry and Zapp.
This is a pretty neat idea. It would be funny if the most salient aspect of Fry and Zapp's relationship (which, at present, is mostly nonexistent) becomes the fact that they're both actively vying for Leela's affections. It could become a running joke between those two characters, similar to how Zapp can reliably be expected to hit on Leela whenever they share a scene.
