American college isn't really the same as in the UK, though.

American college is like British university - although you do have universities in the states as well, I believe.

British college is just like the last couple of years of American high school. To the point that many people opt for "sixth form colleges" which are basically extensions of their high schools.

For university? It depends on where you live and where you want to go to study. I'd say the vast majority of people move out and live in some form of student accomodation / house with friends whilst they're at university, but there's a minority that go to university close to home and don't move out.

That's not really true if you happen to skip grades or whatever. I knew a 16 and 17-year-old (granted, the latter turned 18 a few weeks into the year) my freshman year of college. (Also: consent laws vary by state. It is generally 18 for two adults, but two teenagers of lower ages can also legally consent with each other depending on their exact ages.)

I assumed it was Frank Marino, but if she meant Frank Welker, it'd make more sense for it to be a Nibbler episode. But yeah, the way she referred to it as "his" episode, makes it sound like she meant the director to me.

Frank's a director, not a writer by the way SGB.

There's no real difference. They direct it. What do you think a director does? They oversee the product, essentially steering the metaphorical ship that is the people working below them to the figurative destination that is the finished product.

I hope you realise that a director on live-action TV doesn't pick up the camera and film everything himself. They have directors of photography, cameramen, lighting technicians and so forth. With animation, you replace these with the different types of animators you're going to use and everything else a director does (working with actors, overseeing music composition, etc) remains exactly the same.

There is no way of telling whether or not "Viva Mars Vegas" will be about Amy, ITWGY was set mostly on Mars at the start and Amy was barely the focus.

True, but it is very likely an episode about Amy and her parents. It could focus on other characters, I admit, but it's most likely Amy-centered.
