Welp, they only aired Benderama, they're putting Neutopia on next week, but WHO'S COMPLAINING IF THEY'RE OUT OF ORDER OR WE ONLY GOT ONE, I WITNESSED 6B IN HD ON BRITISH TELEVISION!

Their planner called "Benderama" season 8, episode 1, too.

Dear oh dear.

The Radio Times TV guide got it pretty darn accurate, called it "Series 7 - 14. Benderama" (not too far off), but what I love more is how they start their description of the episode:

14/26. The sci-fi cartoon returns after an 18-month break. Professor Farnsworth unveils a new invention that can produce copies of anything - and before he knows it, the office is overrun with dozens of tiny self-replicating Benders that threaten to take over the world.

I recall when we had these new episodes premiere in Australia (back in 2011) that we had Benderama first then Neutopia the next week. We didn't have them in HD though... Still don't for new episodes.

Just realised, 6B will finish airing in the UK on the 21st June. I mean, the DVD/Blu-ray could still come out on the 24th June, but come on, 3 days after it finishes airing? I doubt it will, sigh. My bet is on September or October now. Maybe even December. :(

I dunno, over the last few years, there seems to have been a real effort made to get a lot of TV shows out on DVD within the week that they finish airing on TV - even, sometimes being released before the final episode has aired.

Or at least, that's what's been happening with the few comedies that I follow.

True, Misfits usually gets released within a week or two of it's latest series ending.

But based on how they've handled Futurama so far, I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm annoyed 7b is airing before season 6 comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray, it would've been a great way to get me back into it, by plowing through  a season of episodes I haven't seen in over a year.

You'll only miss 2 episodes of 7B, Season 6B is out on DVD/Blu-ray 5 days after the premiere date.

The June 24th release date for the DVD/Blu-ray is definitely sticking this time, it's been mentioned in Total Film:

Quote from: Total Film
...everyone with a letter printed here will receive a copy of Futurama Season 6, out on Blu-ray and DVD on 24 June from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

And Official PlayStation Magazine:

FUTURAMA SEASON 6 - 24 JUN
Body-switching, accidental time travel and godlike robots - classic Futurama. All the behind-the-scenes info a fan could wish for, too.

Season 7 is meant to be starting in the UK this month, but I can't find any up-to-date information about it anywhere on the web, so I fear we'll still have to wait a little* longer.

I've only seen the season 6 episodes once since getting them on DVD. I saw season 5's episodes maybe 5 times at least. I was seriously addicted this time 2 years ago, though.

The Blu-Ray boxes for Futurama really stand out when compared to other Blu-Rays considering how much they jut out.  The only thing you can really do is pull out all of the other cases and match them up. I still like the clear-case DVDs for Seasons 1-4 the most.

That's brilliant news, I was beginning to think it would never come out over here! I'm not worried about the price, it'll come down plenty before release date. What are you two above talking about? The Blu-Ray boxes are fine, and obviously the quality is better so if you have the player then it'd be stupid not to get it on Blu-Ray...

I got my copy of season 7A in the post this morning, so far I've watched the first five episodes with the commentary on, the alternate ending for "Zapp Dingbat" and all of the extras on the first disc.

Interesting to note that the region 2 release comes with 4 free art cards, I haven't opened them yet, but the first one is the artwork of Fry on the re-release of season 1. It also shows the artwork of Bender, Leela, Zoidberg and Hypnotoad on the back, saying they will be available in "volume 8", so I can only assume the other 3 art cards in season 7A are of Morbo, the Professor and Amy.

Got mine today too, yes those are the other 3 art cards. It says Season 8 is coming soon, so what, like in over a years time is soon then?...

Really glad to have Season 7 at last, at least we're only one release behind now...

I purchased my copy yesterday and watched "The Bots and the Bees" last night (having refrained myself from watching any of the new series on Sky). The four cards were a nice surprise and I'm happy to say that the first episode was better than I remembered (not that it was bad in the first place). I plan to pace myself so not to burn through the short run and leave me with withdrawals that would usually be filled around this time by new Futurama. :hmpf:

I'm not sure anyone else was aware of this (I only just now discovered) but the final half-season will begin airing on Sky One this evening! "2D Blacktop" will air at 7:00pm after a new episode of The Simpsons. This is great news as I wasn't expecting a release so soon after the first half-season and I'm hoping that they may begin doubling up the episodes to allow for a Christmas release of the DVD.
