I have a pre-order for Wall-E. Dam myself! I never saw the new batman movie.

Do we still do these?

Anyone else pre-ordered ITWGY yet?

I'd pre-ordered mine before Bender's Game had even come out.

Not much point me pre-ordering it. With Bender's Game I just bought it in the shops on release day and got it cheaper than any website. The internet isn't always cheaper anymore...

Its cheap as free!

Oh you mean the physical copy, yeah even if you find it a bit cheaper shipping usually kills any advantage you had, plus you can just go to a store soon as it opens and have it right then, or wait for the mail to get in :P

Has anyone heard anything about the sales of BG

It's #23 on Amazon's top seller's list right now.  I can't remember how the other two movies did right after release, but I think they were closer to the top 10.

It was at #15 when I checked, somewhat close to the release day.

But it sure is convenient for the lazy.

Or for those who have to work and don't have the time to go tramping around the shops. I'd rather have it arrive on my doormat the day of release, usually sooner.

To be absolutely fair, McFarlane's Baron Krauss voice in Hellboy II was pretty amusing, but still...yuck.

If this is the last Futurama ever this is just going to add to an even worse aftertaste.

How many of you guys and gals would support a petition to try and get rid of McFarlane from the next Futurama DVD. I mean it's bad enough that Family Guy-ish moments have crept into the movies let alone the evil being spread right in front of us!

I think the knife joke in BG  and the superman joke in BWABB were both pretty bad.

The deed is done.  The DVD is practically finished - one reason it's being release just 4 months after the preceding one.

I'm sure all the animation people who work at RDS and for FOX have a certain commaradere with each other.  I'm sure that Groening and DXC have a certain respect for McFarlane - as much as I dislike Family Guy, it is successful.

His Baron Krauss was very good, and the singing part is a good side of it, but still, it's Family Guy in Futurama. Not good.

But don't overlook the parts of that article that say DXC's trying to get it into theaters and in 3D!

I'm actually rather fond of McFarlane as a voice actor, so I don't find this news as troubling as some (and I say this as someone who doesn't watch Family Guy anymore).

but still, it's Family Guy in Futurama. Not good.

Having Castellaneta appear in the show didn't put The Simpsons into Futurama.  ;)

Anyway, I had no idea that DXC wanted the theoretical theatrical film to be in 3D.  I wonder if he meant in the "IMAX special effects" sense or the Pixar/Dreamworks sense.

I'm actually kind of excited, the family guy before it got cancelled was alot better than the new stuff(what does that remind you of)  Seth McFarlene isn't going to be writing the script, he's just a voice actor, so chill

I presume that 3D would mean a complete overhaul in terms of animation style? In a similar fashion to "the Lost Episode"?

I don't know about anyone else but I certainly wouldn't be keen on that idea.

I'm thinking the 3D means something like "popping out the screen" or "whoa! that's some crazy shit!" rather than "oh... it's like every animated movie released in the past decade..."

I agree completely (although I find some of the new FG stuff quite funny, too).

Whether you like Family Guy or not, McFarlane is a good voice actor and he stood by his show even when it came close to death.

Also, it was FG's resurrection that partly inspired the Futurama people to try and do the same.

I don't know.  I'm thinking a full-fledged Dreamworks/Pixar style version of Futurama would be pretty interesting, provided you had the same writers and voice actors.  Mind you, I doubt it will happen.

seth macfarlane's a pretty good voice actor. i don't have a problem with him being involved, so long as he doesn't do any of the writing (robot chicken was never good, and family guy stopped being funny after like the second season)

According to this article I found, Bender's Game is the #6 top selling dvd for the period ending November 16th.  That can't possibly be a bad thing.

Also, I couldn't help but notice that BG is outselling a new family guy box set.  If Futurama is doing as well as (or even slightly better than) Family Guy, I've got to think that FOX will see that as a compelling reason to let the show continue.

#6 can't be bad at all. Especially with the releases of the now.

Also, I found this story from the News Feed quite entertaining. Take that, other shows during Futurama's time slot!

Pixar is not crap, but 3D in the animation sense isn't for Futurama in my opinion. I always wished before Anothology Of Interest II aired that the Fry's life as a videogame segment was in 3D. That was probably the only place such animation would work in Futurama...

Of course there is also the other kind of 3D like 3D glasses kind. But again I don't see that working for Futurama...

Wow the REPEAT of one the new episodes of Futurama on Monday night had TEN TIMES the amount of viewers than for a new episode of Richard & Judy that's impressive.

Can understand why people are disapointed about Seth McFarlane doing a voice for the next Futurama movie.  I only like Seth for American Dad, I'm not too keen on Family Guy.   It's good to know that BG is the #6 best selling DVD right now!

Here's some things to consider, since it seems like Fry is going to die in the next movie, does this mean he'll be killed off in the comic books, too?  Also, does anyone think in the next movie the war will be between humans and robots?  Or maybe it's an apocalypse?

They're not going to kill him off for good, he'll be fine by the end of the film.

Chances are he's not even dead in the clip shown in the trailer.

I think it will be against men and women for the most part. The first half will be about space golf, then something about gambleing. The last half will be about the number 9 man for some reason mixed in.

I don't have really high hopes for this movie.
