You know I have no idea how I missed this thread at all; I didn't see it or read the fine print until it had it's own section. Going to have to wait til next year to play...   

edit: I'm thinking Leela vs. Cubert has to be the biggest wipe in the tournament though!

I tried to pick some upsets, but I neglected to factor in how predictable PEELers are.

You know, in looking over the results so far, and the resulting brackets, I am thinking that this isn't going to give the best results, throught no real fault of Nix's. Just as an example, you've got every #1 seed having to go through each of the 2-4 seeds just to make the quarter finals? While the 5 seeds(Zapp say) are just going to cruise through mediocre competition at best. Just a random thought here. Am I wrong???

Edit: Another thing; how did malfunctioning Eddie get to be a 5 seed over Calculon? Calculon had way more screen time then Eddie.

I'd agree with you, I did forget to set up the brackets just right, but I'm not particularly worried, because, for one thing, the rankings are pretty much entirely arbitrary, and like evan said, PEELers are pathetically predictable.

Hmm, the Robot bracket is shaping up almost as I predicted. I honestly believed URL would beat Roberto.

The big damaged however was done in the Alien bracket. I needed Lrrr to reach the bracket-final, and then he's beaten in first round by some overgrown rat.

Eddie's beating Calculon, so I won't be too screwed in the Robot Division.  Lrr losing really hurt my Alien plans, like it probably did for Teral and all others who voted for him.  Lrr's the kinda guy who you expected to go all the way.
