Here's a clip from "Viva Mars Vegas." I usually find the Robot Mafia more annoying than entertaining, but this scene was all right (and the Donbot's final line was pretty terrific).

Once again, the damn rules of america don't let me watch this clip

Second!

Third!

Stills from: "31st Century Fox", "Naturama" (1, 2).

Why an American clip can't be shown in the UK? It works here in Australia.

Also this is too damn cute:

I would have thought Leela the songbird would have some type of big crest on her head like a cardinal, a reference to that big, swoopy ponytail she usually sports.

Naturama is going to be insane. I'm not sure whether it will be insane in a good way or bad way, but I can't wait to see what they come up with. Admittedly I didn't like Reincarnation much at all when it first aired. Being a complete doofus I didn't know at first that it wasn't supposed to be part of the plotline. ANYWAYS, it slowly but surely grew on me and I think it's a creative, fun, and wonderfully original episode now, even if I didn't get a lot of the references.

I'm really not expecting Naturama to be good.

It's either going to be the next Reincarnation or the next FHS. If I expect it to suck, then I won't be disappointed.

Yeah, honestly, I'm expecting Naturama to be the worst episode of the show to date by a wide margin, but hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Dat animation. Everything I've seen so far from Viva Mars Vegas has such detailed, clean, vivid animation!

Loving Al Gore on the hundred dollar bills in the first pic.

Also, from the looks of the lady in the second pic, Leela isn't the only one with a wrist-lo-jackimator. I'm not sure if we've ever seen that on anyone besides Leela before.

Wow, two stills of stuff we've seen before! One previously already in HD!

Also, since no one has provided us non-American viewers with a working link of that Viva Mars Vegas clip, would somebody please at least tell us what happens in it?

Seriously? The Wrist Lo-Jack-imator is the tracking device that Leela's wrist-a-majig has. Everybody involved with that article should feel ashamed of themselves.

Ideally, that page would redirect to "Wrist-a-majig" or "Wrist device". Most of the text could be used with only minor alterations. But looking at the discussion page, this would be resisted. It's this sort of idiocy that stops me from becoming a regular Infosphere contributor.

Hm. I thought that this had come up before... and it has.

The second of those pictures seems to imply they confuse Jamaican Hermes for an African-American, or simply just an African. If that's the case I am really hoping for a Colin Powell reference.

For those who don't know, Colin Powell was Secretary of State under Fmr. President Bush from 2001-2005. He is often incorrectly labeled an African-American but his heritage is mostly Jamaican.

Hah chill dude. Whatever it's called is just such a small detail that I used my most memorable, humorous reference of it, as did whoever compiled that article. My goal was to convey the meaning of Leela's wrist device, and did so successfully. Why it seemed to annoy you so much is beyond me. Just a friendly suggestion: don't let the technicalities of what people say on the internet get to you so much. We're here to discuss a show we (well most of us) love, and it'd make it a more pleasant experience if we could all just go with the flow. I'm not insulted, and I hope you aren't either, I just don't want you to get your feathers ruffled the next time someone makes a statement or decision you disagree with, because I genuinely like to see people feel happy, welcome, and accepting rather than annoyed and exasperated.

It does look rather shit, it looks so unnecessary and not like Futurama at all. Yo Leela Leela looked terrible before it aired and it was terrible after it aired, so not looking good, but we shall see. 31st Century Fox looks boring though, hmm...

About 31st Century Fox:

Remember that it was one of the episodes that Eric Rogers said was one of his favourites some time ago.

Also, there must be some reason they're choosing to air it after VMV. Perhaps there's a significant aspect of the plot that we don't know?

Maybe they're hoping Patrick Stewart's guest spot in "31st Century Fox" will boost ratings for the mid season finale...

Not necessarily; they were disguises for part of the heist's contingency plan. It's funny that you say this, though, because the first thing I thought when I saw that part of the episode was, "Danny was right!" ;)

Eh,... it looks to me more like "Yo Leela Leela" - an episode that doesn't sound interesting on paper and many people won't like it but a few people will (but then again, "Yo Leela Leela" didn't have Patrick Stewart  :p)

I would prefer another "Neutopia" to another "Yo Leela Leela".  It ended up with an average PEEL rating more than a point higher than YLL did.  That's the difference between a poor but still watchable episode, and a simply terrible one.

(Although yes, I am getting "Yo Leela Leela" vibes from "31st Century Fox" too.  Prove me wrong, Futurama!)

I was hoping Stewart would be the voice of the fox, similar to Johnny Cash's appearance on The Simpsons.

Oh yes, the hallucinogenic pepper episode.  One of the all-time great Simpsons episodes.  If only "31st Century Fox" would be as good, but I really, REALLY, doubt that will happen.

The only thing I'm super curious about in this episode is whether or not it's set in England. The scenery in most previews we have seen looks very British, Patrick Stewart is British, Fox hunting is common in Britain, etc.

If it is Britian, WTF? I thought the countryside would have gotten a little more sci-fi...

What, like sci-fi grass or something? :laff:

I hope you are right though.  I very much desire to see 31st century London.  All we've gotten so far is just alternate-reality British NNY, which isn't the same.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I'm actually kind of looking forward to "31st Century Fox." We haven't had a really strong Bender-centric episode all season ("The Bots and the Bees" didn't work for me, and "Free Will Hunting" and "The Thief of Baghead" were good but not great), and in my experience it's the quirkier stories (becoming a folk singer! Swapping genders to win gold medals! Rebuilding yourself out of wood!) that tend to be well-suited to his character.

...Of course, I'll grant that "Bendin' in the Wind," "Bend Her," and "Obsoletely Fabulous" aren't among everyone else's favorite episodes--but I quite enjoy them. So if "31st Century Fox" is of a similar ilk, I think I'll be pretty pleased with it.

Oh, and I'm on the fence about "Naturama," too. It's an interesting--if not somewhat cutesy-seeming--concept; I just hope the writers don't completely muck it up.
