I was cracking up from that still! I got a real darn feeling that this episode is going to be FILLED with Matrix references. And I hope they handle it good too.

I wouldn't be surprised if "Meanwhile" is the name of part 2 of that alleged 2-parter, we're getting.
Well the finale's plot is about Farnsworth making a button that takes the user 10 seconds back in time. So "Meanwhile" could possibly be that episode?

Said finale episode is this alleged two-parter, actually.

A still from "Near-Death Wish".
Connected to this matrix-y clip from the livestream maybe? (printscreen all the frames!)

Looking forward to this! <3

Also fanservice (I have no idea which episode these will be in)

But there's Free Will Hunting soon, why didn't they release a pic for that? Anyways...

Considering that Leela is the only really competent employee at Planet Express, I could see them losing the button, or at least have it pass from character to character, making everything very confusing. Whichever episode this is, it's going to need some very shrewd writing, similar to "The Prisoner of Benda".

I got a real darn feeling that this episode is going to be FILLED with Matrix references.

From a single still with a single Matrix reference in it?

I guess you could maybe say them going into the internet is Matrix-related too, but still...

Well, they did make some weighty allusions to The Matrix in ACOMO, so it's only logical for them to play them up for this one.

*Eagerly awaits the torrent of bitching about pop culture references ruining new Futurama :evillaugh:

My guess is on "Viva Mars Vegas".
The image of the uniform wearing characters got some "Ocean 11/12/13/42/etc..." vibe for me.

Just maybe? The camera sweep has 'Matrix' printed all over it. And I don't think they're in the internet. The infosphere says: When the Professor learns that his parents are coming out of virtual retirement from the Near-Death Star, he becomes upset. So they're in a virtual world to go get/visit the Professors parents.

But if they were going in to steal monies or something of the like, wouldn't they wear something that looks more spy like?

I think they're just suiting up for a delivery xD

Nice, thanks for the upload. So these two must be Professor Farnsworth's parents.

I'm really interested to see how they portray these characters. This episode has a lot of potential, but we'll see.

Then why don't we just make a Dress-up Fry Doll for you lady viewers? :flirt:

That would be cool if they did, of course I wouldn't buy it though. Because it doesn't appeal to men like me.

Yeah, you know I'm right.

Hmmmm, maybe a shippy calender could be the crew acting out the roles of famous couples in art, music, film, history and culture?

Examples:
Bender doing the Streetcar named Desire STELLA, whilst the Crushiinator rolls down a ramp to him.

Fry and Leela as... Sid and Nancy, maybe?

Amy and Kif as Mario and Peach, only it's Amy's Peach saving Kif's Mario from a Bowser who looks like Zapp.

Other couples we could include are Mom and the Professor, or the Wongs and the Conrads.

Not sure if pun went over everybody's head or so lame they ignored it.

A ship calendar, eh? Well if it's inclusive of all couples:

January: A 'happy new year' party with a drunk Kif and Amy dancing sexfully in the middle of all the drunk employees (someone passed out on the floor?)
February: A natural homey scene with Hermes and LaBarbara
March: Easter - (not sure who)
April: A 'Mothers day' theme, Prof & Mom (flashback pehaps?)
May: Zoidberg and Food <3
June: Fry and Leela chilling out somewhere. Preferably with as little clothes as possible.
July: Bender and <insert female bot(s?) here>
August: Scruffy & Washbucket
September:Kif/Amy
October: Halloween, Fry and Leela trick or treating
November: Munda/Morris
December: Christmas - every couple with Fry and Leela the center/focus under mistletoe

However purely Fry/Leela would be my thing (and I might do this for next year...)
Jan: Drunk Sexting
Feb: Breakfast is served
Mar: Matching sexy bunneh outfits
Aprl: Sleepy-head
May: Shenanigans at work
June: Super Duper Sunscreen Massage
July: Freedom Day Hot Tub
Aug: Lovers spat
Sep: Captain's Quarters
Oct: Trick or Treat
Nov: Uncharted Planet
Dec: Mistletoe
Mr Snrub

Dec: Mistletoe

For some reason, the following image came to my mind: Leela wearing a necklace with a mistletoe shaped pendant,  looking expentingly/sexfully at Fry. Who gives a confused/innocent look and once again doesn't get it ;)
Or Fry wearing a mistletoe shaped beltbuckle, giving an expecting grin, with Leela staring and turning red. :p

(Okay...should I ever work in a job demanding romantic stuff -as e.g. a wedding planer- I assume I would quickly become the planet's most wanted man. On a "dead or not alive" basis :D )

I love Washbucket! It cracked me up when I saw Scruffy carrying her in A Farewell To Arms as well - I love that she hasn't been forgotten about completely.

(N00b alert, by the way. Hi everybody!)
