THE MONEY:

1-G.W.
5-Bill Clinton
10-Jimmy Carter
20-Matt G.
50-David X
100-Nixon
500-Al Gore

Believe it or not, the game is nearing completion... im currently putting most of the things into EZ-print formats... (Putting the pics in Word) so you can download and print.... the hard part will be the board. No matter.

What happened to Leonard Nimoy? Have him on the $20? And also, what about the What If? Machine and Deliveries cards. Thought those out too?

Ok, everything is done, including the What If, Delivery, Money, Property and board.

I'll make printable icons too, but you may want to use other stuff if you got it.

THe board is updated from the last one seen here (just barely different). I'm going to make that printy too.

Heres the other bills:

I just skimmed the thread and thought, what a cool idea! Somewhere else I saw the concept of a Simpsons Monopoly game made with Flash. Is it even possible to code the game with Flash?

I doubt it... i don't think that the dice rolling could be done, much less the movements. Flash is more of a straight line kinda programming... you give it options, but it can only work one way really. As far as I know at least.

Than just make a random number generator with numbers 1-12.

Hmm, I think it is possible to do that...I saw a game of Chutes and Ladders in Flash. Only it had a spinning dial instead of dice, and the pieces did move by themselves, even up the ladders.

Ok, lets put it this way, I do not have the ability to do it. Someone else could use my stuff as a template, by all means, but I couldn't do it myself.

I´m very fascinated of the Futurama Monopoly! Do you guys still work on it?

Some suggestions: The middle-area of the playfield is a bit dark! One must consider that most peple own an ink jet printer (just as me) that is not able to print such dark areas properly!

Who´s the guy who manages all the work that still is to do for the game! I make my assistance available gladly! Just tell me what´s to do!
Did someone think about play figures? If not that would be a job for me? ;-)

I just found a newer version of the board with a white background, so forget what i said in my last post about the dark background!

That'd be me.

Figures... I was thinking about that. THe exact format that I'd use is being planned. It basically came to a halt because my life is busy, but heres whats up:

The Money, Property Cards, Chance/CChest Cards, are all made and ready.

The board is ready, but Paul is cutting the board into printable pieces so you can... print it out...

After that, I'm partially done the rules (not the full rules, just whats changed) in a printable pamphlet. When thats done, then come the pieces, though i want to print out a board first.

What do you think of this Bender as a play figure? This one is based on the Futurama popout-people available in stores... i just did a scan, flipped the image vertically and added some white space between the two parts so that one is able to form a base the figure can stand on.

resized example image!!! The original is much bigger and has a better resolution and stuff!

Just contact me on icq about what´s to do to finish the Futuropoly game!

I have an announcement about the game... tramatic announcement.

The game is all but on hold... I'm getting help with various aspects, but I hit a huge snag and i have to redo every card and money... they are too small. June is the busiest month of the year, and until school gets out, i have NO time, with exams, and other stuff.

I heard that 'The Simpsons' Monopoly is coming to Australia in July so maybe there's some hope that a Futurama version may come out in the future?!?

Bumped slightly and double post for this bad news.

I got an email from Kevin (Chump) and this is what it said:

Well, you can forget about Futuropoly. I got my computer back and I lost all my files. Including the programs to read those files. Everything is gone.

I know I'm knew here, but I'm working on a remake of Futuropoly (that's Futurama Monopoly). Well, I guess I shouldn't call it a remake since it was never really done.

Anyway, I'm about 2/3 done, although I'm reconsidering the properties and layout of the board. I'm starting to wonder if it might look a bazillion times better if I made a board that was more like the Simpsons Monopoly board. Search on  http://images.google.com  if you don't know what I'm talking about, I don't feel like looking for a picture of it. Right now, none of the properties are associated with each other, only associated with Futurama in general. It's not a bad thing, but it could be better.

So far, I've completed:
- all of the money
- all of the fronts of the property cards
- some of the backs of the property cards
- all of the Chance/Community Chest (Deliveries/What-If-Machine) cards

What I have left to complete:
- remake of the board
- some of the backs of the property cards
- game pieces
- houses/hotels (packages/crates)

For all those people that know about graphics and printing, I'm creating my images at 300 dpi (very suitable for printing). However, I'm working in RGB rather than CMYK since I'm used to RGB. Everything is being done in Adobe Photoshop (saved as .psd's) and will be put into Adobe InDesign pages for printing when the time comes.

If anyone wants a list of properties, Chance/Community Chest (Deliveries/What-If-Machine) cards, faces on the bills, or any of the other information I'm using, let me know. I can also upload some thumbnails of the images that I've done already. I could use some help brainstorming about how to link everything together better. You can email me or get me on AIM.
