How exactly do you guys want me to do the pieces? I can't exactly make a bunch of pewter pieces downloadable. I do have an idea that will allow you to print them right out and then they would be bent into position.

I was planning on using the tin miniatures for pieces (assuming the board is big enough).

Maybe go back 3 spaces could be like out of Roswell that ends well (fry puts metal in microwave + supernova = travel back in time/3 spaces)

Goto nearest transport :A faulty L-unit in ship requires you to use nearest transport.

Thanks for the suggestions all... I used the sonic diarrhea one already. i thought it was pretty cool.

I have to do the money next, then the deed cards, then the houses/hotels (in whatever form they may be).

If you guys want heads in jars, by all means... I'll have to find their heads as frame grabs before I do it... I want the money to look good. The cards pictures aren't the best (some a re really cool, others not so great) mostly because I would have had to do 32 scans in total (major pain)... but I'm willing to take the time with the money cause its so important. I'll start looking for grabs.

As for the middle of the board why not do something like in the Simpsons Monopoly? And for the figures you could cast them out of tin, like you make tin soldiers. wouldn't that be great?

Out of all those things you said, only the Simpsons middle is possibly do-able. Its not like I'm going to take orders and send them to you. Its going to be download and put together yourself kinda thing.

I don't have Simpsons monopoly though... whats in the center?

I say keep the center you have now, but change the alien writing to the Monopoly logo slightly altered as followes:

1:  Name it Futuropoly
2:  Instead of Mr. Moneybags popping out of the "o", have Bender in his tophat and monocle (from Fishfull of Dollars, ideally with a wad of cash in one of his hands).  I can't seem to find a screengrab of this though.
3:  In keeping with Futurama having a catch-phrase at the bottom of the title, maybe we should come up with a clever saying to go beneath it.

Sorry to do a double post, but I've got stuff to say/show. First, I'm going with Packages and Ships as houses and hotels. I couldn't think of anything better, they relate to the theme, and I wasn't using actual places instead. (Ie. trump trapizoids and fry's old house)

They will have appropriate colours.

I've begun to do the money. I haven't decided who gets what denomination (its dependant on what kinda grabs I can get). I've done the one and five thus far:



Washington and Clinton

Nixon is a definate yes. I'd like to give matt a spot too... and maybe Al Gore if I can get a good pic. THey will all be heads in jars.

Here's a framegrab of Bender from Fishfull of Dollars with a top hat.  (I couldn't find one anywhere of him wearing his monocle... that would have been perfect.)  Maybe you could shrink this down and use it in the center area?

Two things:
Why not use Toxic Ink in the AL as thats what it said in AOI2
Give Matt one of the higher/highest money values.

1. The AL1 font i have has a screwed up letter x... it instead has a picture of a sideways N character, so that was out. Poison ink was the next best thing.

2. I plan to.

3. The cards are all done.

4. I know you all mean well, but it is really hard to stop myself from being cynical.

5. Jason, I got my 'primary troubleshooter' (Paul) to help out on that... but thanks anyway. Paul also gave me a better grab which I would use if the need arose.

News: Been slow with the updates, but I scrapped the shimmering background in favour of a logo and a bender-millionaire... I need some kinda thing to fill in the corners though the empty-ish ones. I'm thinking one of a poor guy and one of billionaire bot... maybe the poor one can be billionaire bot with the barrel?

Whoas! That's a big change. Too bad we couldn't have both the shimmering background AND the logo/Daddy Benderbucks. (The sight of him wearing a tophat and monocle just busts my guts from some reason.) The rich/poor Billionaire-Bots are a good idea...that, or one Billionaire-Bot and one wino-sleeping-in-a-tube; the idea of 'bots--who don't really need material wealth--getting it all at the expense of humans tickles me as well...

Besides the whole pain-in-the-assness of it, i decided to drop the shimmering backer when i realized: People will be printing these out. How much ink would that drain? Its enough already! So i whitened it up some but spared you some $$$... (if you want to print it all out, i'd suggest buying a new cartridge just in case...  )

I like the new central pieces. Bender looks great in the middle, very fitting with the original.
