I apologize for my inactivity recently. My personal life has gone downhill a little, so I haven't really felt like doing much drawing. But I did this at the start of the year. It's a re-draw of something I drew in late 2012.

I took a fairly long break from drawing, to sort out some more personal issues. Only started actually drawing things again yesterday, but this is what I've done so far.









Obviously I haven't really drawn anything Futurama related recently, and I've been giving the entire show a break, since I've seen all of the episodes goodness knows how many times now. I've felt like I need to concentrate other things for several months.

Oops, I haven't updated this thread in goodness knows how long. I've found my time largely occupied, with several exams coming up. I apologize for not being active, I really want to start posting more again! And sorry for not having any actual Futurama art to post, but I haven't been feeling up to it for several months. This may be due to the fact that I've completely over-watched the series, and need to give it time. Anyway, time for the art.

Pretty great job!  I also think that the Pokemon one's pretty cool.

Although I'm kinda curious about those see through orbs on the tails of the cats.  I imagine getting those things installed would be painful, I doubt km73 would approve. 

Also, what's up with that guy's hand placement in the 4th picture?

The "Fizzfoxes" are a creation of a close friend on DeviantArt. I'm not totally sure how they get them in there :P

There are a lot of very talented artists and photographers on Peel, and some works really resonate. But over the three-odd years that I've been here, my desktop background has only been set to the art of two Peelers. And one of them is the person who opened this thread

Draw whenever your muse strikes, as long as it doesn't mess too much with the other things going on in your life.  And please do continue to post your art here when you get the chance

Ah only just checking (or checkering >_>) this now.  Ha ha I ponderedwondered if you were wondering how I'd even seen it.. given that you sure didn't tell me, failed and declined to tell me, that I had been mentioned in an Art thread ..  Weeelllllll to cut a long story medium I had in fact been looking at a few of the top (of-the-page) art threads those handful days, due to the Drama goin' on in a certain one, y'know, let's leave it at that.  Soes I was SNIFFING AND PERUSING AROUND.  In my timeskipping Detectiving capacity, indeed, of course, you kmprehend. ;;  In any case, yesh, imagine my startlement and Surprise when randomly coming across my illustrious name.  most unexpectedly.  or something.   Overall, a most fortuitous coincidence.   *And now, I am leaving Earth for no raisin    vanishes*

I finally got off my butt and wanted to draw something Futurama related! The top one is the new one drawn today, and the bottom one was drawn on the 31st of December 2012.

After my last drawing I realized how much I loved and missed drawing Futurama fanart and I quickly thought about what I wanted to do next. I decided to re-draw another older piece.





The older drawing was drawn on the same day as the teenage mom's sons, seen above.

That's a great composite, Lyra   And the one above... I had to do a double-take!  When I first glanced at it, I thought you drew yourself with the three brothers.  Then I took a closer look, and saw that it was you and Walt and family   That's so cute!

Regarding the Dwight/Cubert re-draw.  Yes, your art has quite a bit more detail and subtlety to it, now.  How much more (or less!) time did the re-draw take compared to the original?

About it being me though, admittedly they look similar, but that is actually a fan character of mine ^u^

I'm not entirely sure how much time the new drawing took, but I'm fairly certain it was less. Maybe 45 minutes if I had to guess, that's about half an hour less than the original took.
