Taking this to its logical extreme:

I second that emotion!  One minor niggle, the beret should be green if you want it to match what appears to be a Special Forces badge.  De Opresso Liber!

Cheers. :)

They're both bastards to draw - Spidey because of all the fiddly webs on his costume, and Venom because of the single-colour symbiote blending into itself. But neither are as frustrating to draw as Doc Ock's tentacles.

you could just colour Venom red and say it's a whole new Spidey Vs Carnage drawing.

Yeah... I have an irrational fear of drawing these kind of characters who have a skin-tight full-body covering. The absence of any loose garments or other peripheral attachments starts to show up my rather haphazard approach to the human(oid) form. I don't follow any kind of structural convention or anything - I just hack into it freehand and cover as much as I can with loose-fitting clothes and buckles and things, hoping that nobody will notice. Usually nobody does - they're just like "Ooooh, buckles!!" and I'm like "Mwuhahaha! FOOLS!!" And that way I scrape through by the skin of my mediocrity. Spidey and his spandex-coated buddies are a challenge.

I dare you to draw them naked. Test your skillz (and sexuality!)

Who am I kidding, I just want to see Spiderman in the nuddy. He can keep his face mask on though. :evillaugh:

I feel the need to explain my own insecurities at great length!! ;) )

I'm no good at drawing penises. Perhaps Jezz could fulfil this particular request with greater aplomb?

The point of a dare is for you to take up a challenge you may not be proficient at or comfortable doing. :nono:

I'm not even good at drawing people with loose fitting clothes let alone no clothes... Seriously though, all you'd need is the paint bucket tool and you could totally tell people you put a whole lot of time and effort into this second drawing that's really the same as the first but with a different colour.

Ahh the Rob Liefiled method. Actually that is abit harsh your drawings are far more orginal than nay of liefields work and your characters have reasoanable sized feet.

Also good work both Coldangel and Marcus on the laser pic, nice concept.

@Marcus - Leegola Fry pic, slightly worrying pic but deffintly well produced and not as scary as other pics I have seen using this concept (damn you Rule 34).

Makes me curious if imageshack would also block an overly violent pic or is it another one of thos violnce vs sex contradictions the media likes so much.

Coldy, very cool! I'd say the physical forms turned out great.

In-game its going be 32x32 pixels.

But what is it?

My Venom dolly got so much more playtime than the spiderman one when I was wee; however skuffed up it got, it was so easy to tidy it up with a black magic marker. That didn't work with spidey :p Great pic, full of movement, and I really like how the characters overlap the border and are so vivid against the muted backdrop.

Hey Wu, great to see you :D Cheers for props; heh, there were so many horrible possibilities for the centaur pic, this one's pretty tame by comparison! But had the pose in mind for months, so...

You got any visceral visual wukongisms in mind?

The border-overlap thing is something I learned from a lass named Kim. I forgot what her username is on here (she's an infrequent Peeler), but she's the one what done colours for a few of my pics, most recently the Rincewind one.

It's so obvious that only a genius wouldn't think of it.

Yes there are certainly some scary ones, espcially by a ceratin artist whom always give leela muscular proportions and Fry more equine ones.

As for ideas, pleanty. Time to go forward on the ideas not so much, which considering I work for a watch company is slightly ironinc....very slightly.

or in case its the long periods in between you drawing things that makes the drawings good then draw less, LESS!

Thank you :)

Yes, those are Chinese characters but it is actually kanji from the Japanese language. That's my Japanese name btw. I used to sign my drawings with my English name but my friends thought this was more "artistic".

And I just realised that it looks like a tattoo on her.

Aww, what a cutey patootey drawing!
It's really unfair that this alphabet is unartistic. I do love those symbols. At work I see so many people sign their names so fast with crazy symbols, it's uncany to me.

I drew a practice drawing of Nibbler last night. As a challenge from myself, I'm going to try and make my name look artistic using this alphabet and then I'll post it here :p Later..
