I forgot "no Stan Lee", but you're right anyway.  My path had a much long trail...your turn.

To put it briefly, Holden to Caine, Caine to Maguire, Maguire to Campbell.

If someone gets fewer than three films, disregard.

Holden and Caine were both in Ashanti, which i forgot. Caine and Maguire were both in Cider House Rules and the Spider-Man for the end.

I still like my connection better. William Holden -> Ernest Borgnine (Wild Bunch) -> Kurt Russell (Escape from New York) -> Bruce Campbell (Escape from L.A.)

Well, it looks like fryfan's the only person who's going to respond so I'll give it to him, but he actually has 1 connection too many.  I had:

William Holden was in SOB with Rosanna Arquette
Rosanna Arquette was in Pulp Fiction with Tim Roth
Tim Roth was in Planet of the Apes with Helena Bonham Carter
Helena Bonham Carter was in Big Fish with Billy Crudup

Mel Brooks and Cary Elwes in Robin Hood: Men in Tights,
Cary Elwes and Jim Carrey in Liar Liar,
Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in The Mask,
Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu in Charlies Angels,
Lucy Liu and Mel Gibson in Payback!

Now, someone annihilate me with two connections...

Wasn't Patrick Stewart in Men in Tights with Mel Brooks?  If so, he was also in Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson.

He made his first movie appearance in the Goonies.

Charlton Heston and Mark Walhberg.

And please don't use that Heston cameo from the remake of Planet of the Apes.  It wasn't a good remake to begin with.

Oh you probably wouldn't want us to use his cameo in Wayne's World 2 either, you big, whiney baby.  Too bad for you!

Heston was in Wayne's World 2 with Mike Myers, star of Austin Powers: International man of mystery, which also starred Seth Green, who was a co-star of Marky Mark in The Italian Job.

Just kidding, try Sam Neill and Vincent D'onofrio.
