My favorite has to be Home Movies. The pace of the show is pretty leisurely. It sounds like the voice actors are actually arguing, debating and conversing at their own pace, and it just adds another dimension to the show.

They just have an outline of a scene (along with some suggested jokes probably) and they record an improv for the show. They've been using it less recently, but it definitely has that distinct feel to it.

I'm definitely a big fan of the original 5 episodes of Home Movies, with Squigglevision, Retroscripting and Paula Poundstone as Paula Small. But to me those aspects were what made the show what it was (although Janine Dutillo was still a pretty good substitute for Poundstone, I'll admit). Once they converted fron Squigglevision to Flash and Retroscripting to, um, half-scripting, to me it just lost a lot of its charm. You still get some good dialogue now and again but without the improvised conversational aspect it feels a lot less unique of a show. As for my fave Adult Swim show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force wins by a good length. I love the fact that a show about a milkshake, a box of fries and a meatball having wacky suburban adventures even made it on television. And Master Shake is one of TV's best jerkwads, ever.

I have a question about Futurama episodes on Cartoon Network. I've noticed that the episodes are seperated into two acts (instead of 3) and that original act breaks aren't used. So, are the episodes cut at all or are they just compressed? Sorry if this has already been asked...

family guy "Rupert Griffin stars in... Black to the Future"
"Paddy Tanager, the caddy manager. Yeah, so it rhymes, you wanna fight about it?"
and the Charlie and the Choclate factory parody, which plotwise, was not as good as Slurm Factory, but musically, it was better: "Chumba Wumba gobeldy goo, Life isn't fair, it's sad but it's true, Chumba Wumba gobeldy gee, When your poor legs are stiff as a tree. What do your doo when you're stuck in a chair? Finding it hard to go up and down stairs? What do you think of the one you cal god? Isn't his absence slighty odd? Maybe he's forgotten you." and "Take a drink, and you'll sink, to a state of pure inebriation, you'll be tanked, like the whole irish nation."
