Agreed. I love the new version of the song, its awesome. I prefer it to the album version myself. I'll be buying it on CD when its released for sure so I can own that version   :)

I saw the video for My Immortal the first time yesterday, although it wasn't all the way through. I thought it was cool, but kinda boring. But I've just downloaded it now and watched the video all the way through, and I actually do like it a lot more now. I thought it would get better on repeat viewings somehow. It is a very beautiful video though. Looks like its set in Italy, very nice   :)

Does a TOTPD to Evanescence

Rancid's Red Hot Moon video is also great.     :)

Also Fuse was showing some classic Tool vids, including Sober, Hush, Shism, etc. I was amused.   :D

you know Christina Aguilera has the sort of same video like Evanescence. So who was coping of who?

Ev's was meant to be like a 40's (I think) Latin setting, in B & W. I don't think they copied Christina.

Next year is the Foo Fighters tenth annivesary, and their releasing a longform DVD which will feature all of their videos, finally!

In all their hilarious glory!

Of course you mean "next year" as in the year that follows the current one, and not the song, which had a quite good video attached to it...
And one more Sigur Rós video: "Svefn-g-englar"- very sweet video with a group of people with downs syndrome running around with angel wings dancing and being happy in general.

I think they were probably filmed around the same time so they wouldn't have known. And besides, Christina's video is shit, Evanescence's isn't  :D

Really? Jeesus. That's a headtrip. I mean, I realised it'll be a decade since Kurt's death, but it hadn't occurred to me that Dave started recording with his new band so soon.

"Foo Fighters" was released in 95, right?

-
Also:
The video version of Evanescence's "My Immortal" is rather good, isn't it? I don't prefer it over the album version, but it's nice to have a different spin on the same track. Kinda like why I enjoy hearing the alternate versions of the Pumpkins songs that exist out there, showing the evolution of song and how variations can give different nuance to an entire track.

Melll: I saw the video for Winnebago Deal's "Manhunt" tonight, and it sounds like they're transposing their raucus sound successfully to studio recordings. Now if only there were more variation in their music   :D.

That's wicked!  I still don't have any Winnebago Deal yet, I saw their EP in Crash Records in Leeds and held off buying it.  I stick by what we said at Leeds Fest, they'd be amazing of they varied a little more.

Re: Foos, I read in Kerrang that it was their tenth next year, and Dave would've thought about the band prior to recording (even though he played everything on their first album).

I am looking forward to the video anthology release, it will be one of the best.

Huzzah! I can't wait for that DVD! oh boy oh boy oh boy!

I think the second' version of My Immortal's better, but I've only heard it twice and haven't analyzed it too well yet. But it sure is still a beautiful song.   :D

[Hedonismbot] I apologise for nothing [/H]

Nah, I just prefer Evanescence's a lot more than Christina's. Plus I dont like Christina's song, the production on it is awful, you can hardly hear what she's actually singing, she wails and screams too much. Its nothing personal, I just like Evanescence and their video's a whole lot more  :)

I'm Old School -- back to MTV's early heydays.

My favorite video has always been Fleetwood Mac's 'Gypsy'. I like the 1930's fantasy/noir look to it.

Told a story more or less, when most videos just show goofy visuals and/or musician grandstanding to the cameras...

Korn's video for Right Now is....odd, slightly disturbing....

Trapt's newest video is directe dvery well, and one of my favorite videos currently.  :)

Good Charlotte's got a new video out. I recommend you to steer away from it and its crappiness...also, to make matters worse, Joel's hair is now a mohawk, and I found myself to liking it.    I need help.

I saw Outkast's new video to Hey Ya...it was...color coordinated, and it was pretty cool.

But I have to say that Christina sucks and I don't like Evanescence ever since their one song that was played out for like a month (shivers)

on a bizarely connected note, the worst video ever is actually holy smoke by iron maiden, anyone who knows me will know how much it hurts me to insult iron maiden in anyway, but yes, it was truely terrible.

Wow, was it really that long ago?  :)

I've been watching The Hits, and it happens to be "Classic Hits Weekend". I'd forgotten how much I liked the video for A-Ha's Take On Me...:

And I also saw the video for that floppy haired Chesney Hawkes' The One And Only...I remember that song well!

Offspring's new video is pretty cool, like the animation. Took a while to figure out, but looks really cool. And their new drummer ain't too shabby either (of course not- he's from Rocket From The Crypt  ;))

Also like Eisley's new video. Can't wait to hear more new stuff from them.

Also, I thought that Josh Freese played the drums for the new album.

Has anyone else seen the video for Boogie Pimps' "Somebody To Love"? It involves babies jumping out of an airplane towards this semi-naked woman...this is the front of the single anyway:

Oh yeah, and I really like the video of The Offspring's "Hit That"  :)

I like Offspring’s new video – Hit That, we seen the video when we were at the AGI.

I've seen it now, Hit That is the worst song on that album, by far, and it's not even a good album. In my opinion, of course.  :D

These are no the best videos, but I'd feel bad if they went unmentioned.  Some honorary mentions:

Chemical Bros.-Block rockin' beats, hey boy hey girl (Here we GO!)
Jameroquai: Canned heat, Return of space cowboy, supersonic
Green Day: Walking contradiction, when I come around
offspring: Self esteem
STP: Big Bang Baby, Interstate love song
BECK: Beercan, Pay no mind, lost cause, where it's at, New pollution
Beastie Boys: Sure shot, Fight for your right, intergalactic
Absolute beginner: Fusche.  Hammerhart(If I didn't already mention it)
Dr. Dre: Keep Ya' heads Ringin'
Toni Braxton: You're making me high, unbreak my heart...DAMN she's sexy.
Prodigy: Smack my bitch up, breathe
NIN: Closer, perfect drug
And lastly, I have no idea of the song name, and I think the band is radiohead,  what's the video that's shot in B&W and there's this guy who's lying on the ground?  everyone asks him why are you on the ground, and he says nothing, I'm fine, move along.
