Blink 182's new video is cool.

The new chemical brothers video.

Is it supposed to be on the Kill bill soundtrack or did they just go along in the latest kung fu fad?

I had to listen closely before I realised it were the chem. bros.

did anyone see LFo's video "Freak"? It's just like Aphex' Come to Daddy. I bet Chris Cunningham (video director) and Richard D James had a hand in this one.  LFO might even be a side project of Richard, judging by the sound of the video.

I think it's going along with the fad.  I like the video though, with lots of Martial Arts guy with headphones and ghetto-blasters.  Good fun.

It's such a shame that occasionally, good music is exposed to such undeserving people. I blame 'Q' magazine for all of this.

That's because the video is not good enough.

Mmm, there are some good videos, even if the songs aren't quite so good (or terrible, even).  The new Strokes single, I dislike terribly, however the video (the Tron Homage) is done pretty well.

Sometimes it's nothing to do with the music, it's just the appreciation of the visuals.

Now I come to think of it the video to "The aren't alright" by The Offspring was pretty cool.
Also the video to "Hurt" by Johhny Cash is very good and quite a sombering experiance.

Not including the gay bar filled with kittens, my favourite film clip would probably be Turn by Travis.

The Scientist video (Coldplay) send a shiver down my spine at the end of it, with the car rolling up the hill...

Hey, hey, hey, Settle down Benny boy.
Firstly, i mentioned them because that video clip, along with most of The White Stripes videos for that matter, is absoleutly 100% quality work.

Secondly, I don't have to like The White Stripes just because you do.
I respect The White Stripes' music, They are indeed talented, thier music is always very clean, well written and well played, it's just not down my alley, there's other stuff I would rather listen to...

Thirdly, The comment of "(Unfortuantly)" was linking an old #futuramachat conversation, directed at the people i was talking to then, for nothing more than a bit of a joke.

3 of my favorite videos are from the same director: The Scientist (Coldplay), Just(Radiohead), and All I Wanna Do Is Rock (Travis). I think he's called Jamie Thraves.

User_Names_Suck: It was, you know, a joke. I love Fur Factory and Pantena.

On-topic: Today, for the first time sober, I saw the video for the White Stripes' Hardest Button To Button, and think it's absolutely brilliant. I have Elephant, and that track deserved such a quirky, visually striking accompaniment as that. I particualarly love Jack's 'look' and act. How much work and time must it have taken to do all that? Jeez.

Man, I thought Jack White looked like a child-rapist in that video. The scraggly mustache, the greasy hair, and the black and red skin-tight Van Halen pants. Jeez.

It's still a cool video, though. The White Stripes seem to like ambitious videos (see, "Fell in Love With a Girl." )

I think "Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground" is one of their best.

The new one was on KerrangTV while we were at Mel's, and (1) made me feel ill, and (2) reminded me too much of "Chorlton & The Wheelies".

I really liked the video for Travis' Why Does It Always Rain On Me?, as I think the band members are running around, jumping off cliffs into lakes / lochs, and it looks quite pretty.

The new Travis video, "Re-Offender" is pretty good, as well as "Sing" and "Side" from the last album.

Oh, and the new Strokes video must've cost the same amount as it did to make the whole of Tron.

I disliked the song and video. Not that the video is bad, just isn't to my interest.

All of Travis' videos are enjoyable as well.

Pfft, Blink's new video is odd and confusing. And Tom doesn't have spikey hair anymore :/

I haven't seen Numb by Linkin Park, but i've certainly seen Numb by U2. Another great, interesting, original video.

Speaking of U2, the One video with the buffalos is great. As said on a documentry, it is an 'anti film clip'. Most music videos change what's on the screen every 3 seconds. This video just has like flowers and buffalos on the screen, with like 30 seconds per shot.

I was watching a show on C4 that had lots of music videos in it yesterday. I remember now how much I like the video for Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, because she got emotional during the line "All the flowers that you planted mama, All died when you went away" and started to cry a bit and it really gives it emotion  :)

Daddy?

Also: "Soldier Girl (New Version)" by The Polyphonic Spree is one of the happiest videos ever committed to celluloid. And yes, you have to use the word "committed" when referring to 24 hippies who run around tooting horns in white robes for a living.

I saw the Darkness's  video. Pretty cool. Had a older feel to it, and it seems like these guys like sci-fi. :/

I like Yellowcard's (seems like a pretty good start for a band) video. I like how their violin player plays the viloin as if it were a guitar. And their drummer looks like Dwight.   :D

Also like Smile Empty Soul's new video. It means something for me somehow. The scene where the parents are outside with the girl locked in the room meant something to me, I dunno what. :/

EDIT: ooh, I had no idea LP made a video for One Step Closer (one of my favorite LP songs)! I saw it and it was pretty good but I pictured the video differently and I thought it could'v been better. Also Chester looks like a little teenage boy.  :D

Heres where I get to date myself again.

Best music videos ever?  My favorites in descending order are

1. Games without Frontiers  -Peter Gabriel-

"the original one, not the remake"

Plesantly surreal, lots of weird dark angles. Nice creepy dreamlike quality

2. You got lucky           -Tom Petty-

Im a sucker for post apocolyptic settings.

3.  Stand and deliver      -Adam Ant-

18th century new wavers, who can ask for more?

--------------------------------------

Notice it was favorite video, NOT favorite song...
