It was nothing special, but all the storylines were tied together quite nicely.

I did like how Matt used his team America/orgazmo voice fore pubescent Ike

Okay, I watched it. It was a good episode. Not the show's best, but it was a really, really good one.

8.5/10 Best of the Season thus far, and the best since Season 15. Hope this uphill swing keeps going.

Also, the Zimmerman one now gets a 7.5/10 from me. It's downright forgettable.

Agreed. Every episode this season except for Goth Kids 3 has suffered from trying to satirise too many things at once, and while this was certainly no exception, it's the closest they've come to actually making it work.

Yeah, completely all over the place, though I do thoroughly enjoy South Park when it's being relentlessly retarded. The weakest aspect of the episode was probably the Canada scenes - just far too much reliance on repeating running gags that had already been beaten into the ground prior to this episode.

Puberty Ike was hilarious, and the Intellilink sub-plot became funnier and funnier as it went. The Miley Cyrus material is already a little dated, but mixing it in with Yo Gabba Gabba was a funny move. Overall, I enjoyed it, though it was definitely not without its flaws. Probably a 7/10 for me.

I'm suprised at reactions. I'd give it a 9/10 (please don't kill me) because not only was the episode the best of this season, but it's my favorite of this and the last season, too. I think the Canadian healthcare jokes were really funny, and the Miley Cyrus parody was, though a bit dated, great. I'll be really happy if we keep getting episodes this good.

6.5/10

This wasn't the worst of the season, but it's definitely not the best either. I actually wasn't even aware that Miley Cyrus (or whatever the fuck her name is) was being parodied until I read what some of you said about the episode; I should really start paying attention to what's going on in the world.

Anyway, I didn't really like this episode. I especially didn't enjoy the subplot about that Canadian guy; I felt that a lot of the jokes were repetitive. I didn't really like the main plot either. I know that South Park is supposed to be weird, but the plot just felt too weird to me.

I just hope that these last few episodes will be worth watching.

to me it kind of felt like them going back to the well one too many times. We've already seen stories about a false miracle, misreading of scripture, and the martyr who kind of becomes a dick

Those things happen in real life far too many times.

My favourite bit was the Van Halen symbol. Pissed my pants. My only clean pair, too. Now I have to walk around in pissy pants until washing day.

Same, I knew the new symbol was going to be something ridiculous, but I wasn't expecting that. And then when they actually came out and starting playing music I almost died.

Meh.

It was probably the best of season 17, so far, and I enjoyed it, but I'd say it was far from being great.

I mean, the ending was really weak among other things and it wasn't all that funny, really.

I'm a season 16 fan and I fucking loved it.

Solid, original premise, great plotting and lots of laughs the whole way through. For some reason, the other boys' reactions to Cartman's treatment of Kyle just kept cracking me up the entire time. I absolutely lost it when, really late into the episode, Stan has the epiphany "I don't think Kyle likes eating Cartman's farts at all!" I'm chuckling now just thinking about it. :p

Probably tied with Goth Kids 3 right now as my favourite of the season.

I think the show's just kind of run out of steam

I've said that about the show more than once myself. But if there's one thing South Park has never, ever been, it's consistent. I think the show just constantly goes through high and low points, myself.

It seems that I'm the only one here that didn't like the episode. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

I know that South Park's episodes are usually crazy, but I just did not like this one at all. The "I love Cartman's farts" joke got old fast. Really fast. As for the plot, I just think it could've been executed better. I especially disliked the ending, in which it was revealed that the prophecy was that a fat boy would make a cow a ginger or something.

This week's episode:

Quote
NEW YORK, November 11, 2013 – Anticipation for the biggest shopping day of the year is building in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled "Black Friday," premiering Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. The dark days of winter are coming and that can only mean one thing: the fight to be the first in the mall on Black Friday has begun. The boys prepare to battle the crowds the day after Thanksgiving to get the best deal on the new gaming systems.

Meanwhile Randy gets a job working as a mall security guard to help control the insane number of people lining up to take advantage of the official first day of holiday shopping.

That could be good. Randy is probably one of the funniest characters, so he could carry a few laughs, and the plot sounds pretty okayish.

Also, I think a few characters have different costumes than they do in the game.

Oh wow, I did not see that coming. I think it's safe to say South Park is back in the groove again. This episode managed to be consistently funny, while not ramming one particular joke into the ground, and the whole thing felt epic as fuck. I'm really looking forward to part 2 next week. :D
