This weeks episode was an epic piece of television

bashing thread titles on the first page of any new thread is a well-estabilshed and time-honored tradition around PEEL. So is complaining about title complainers. Still, be nide if someone had something to say about south park, too.

I thought it was ok. Not great, not terrible.

At least the quote in this thread title is accurate, unlike the previous thread.

As for the episode, I thought it was actually pretty good. My favourite part was the lame reenactment with the live-action boys (also the part about Stan ending up jacking in San Diego again).

Repost from old thread:

For the majority of the episode I enjoyed it immensely. The boys' reactions to the people and the activities on the tours were great. Trust me, by no means were they exaggerated, oooh no...

Alright, the live action segment wasn't as terrible as people made out. Well, it didn't envelop the episode, which was a relief, though bad it was. But then again, I watch these kind of shows on Nat Geo so I do appreciate their terrible reenactment.

My big question is: did they actually get the narrator of the parodied show to do the episode? If so, I find that delightful  :D If not, someone was spot on with the impersonation.

I hope every episode for the next four seasons ends with stan jacking it in san diego.

Honestly, I think this week's was one of the worst episodes they've ever produced.

It took a topic that was far too niche (parody of whatever show it is on the Discovery Channel?) and stretched about 5 minutes of material out for 15 before throwing us 5 minutes of bizarre live-action stuff that didn't even come close to working. I mean... I can understand why they thought that might be fun but it was just so disjointed from the rest of the episode and the story was such a load of nothing.

Not the worst episode they've ever made, but certainly one of the worst and the weakest this season. This season is shaping up to be one of the worst.

Wow I enjoyed it quite a lot. And a Kenny death, woo!

I loved the live action section, especially Kenny: "I don't know, dude, I don't really give a shit."

New Episode: Cartman Finds Love

Hey Imy, good job taking over for Danny this week...excpet maybe you should take some notes from him and learn to use some motherfucking spoilers.

As for the newest episode...I wonder if Matt and Trey just decided to do a whole season on acid.

Whoopsie daisy! Minor error in the scheme of things, right?  :D (:nono:)

I know I can never make it up to PEEL's South Park fans for spoiling released media, so here's a picture of a ten-year-old Ryan Seacrest the real Eric Cartman.

Well let's see:

Reverse Cowgirl - Meh.
Cash For Gold - Alright-ish.
Faith Hilling - Awesome!
Jewpacabra - Ugh, no.
Butterballs - It was good, but it just seemed to lack something. Not sure what.
I Should Have Never Gone Zipining - Best episode of Season 16, so far.

Compared to the first 6 episodes of Season 15:

HUMANCENTiPAD - I liked it, actually.
Funnybot - So bad that I haven't seen anyone mention it in a long time.
Royal Pudding - Wacky craziness that somehow seemed to tie together. Perfect.
T.M.I. - Meh.
Crack Baby Athletic Association - Was pretty bad.
City Sushi - Still haven't fully seen this in it's entirety, but from the parts I have seen it seems pretty good.

Season 16: Good = 2, Average = 3 and Bad = 1.

Season 15: Good = 3, Average = 2 and Bad = 1.

CBAA is saved from being a bad ep cause of the Slash thing.

So far, Season 16 is better.

So far, Season 16 is better.

Reverse Cowgirl - Reasonable.
Cash For Gold - Alright-ish.
Faith Hilling - Some funny bits, but ultimately a messy bag of nothing.
Jewpacabra - Crap.
Butterballs - Crap.
I Should Have Never Gone Zipining - One of the show's worst episodes ever.
Cartman Finds Love - Crap.

Compared to the first 7 episodes of Season 15:

HumancentiPad - Reasonable.
Funnybot - Alright.
Royal Pudding - Crap.
T.M.I. - Great.
Crack Baby Athletic Association - Really crap.
City Sushi - Crap
You're Getting Old - Pretty good.

Season 16: good = 0, average = 2 and bad = 5.

Season 15: good = 2, average = 2 and bad = 3.

So far, season 15 was better and 16 is quite possibly the worst season of the show to date - although 12 gives it a run for its money.

This has easily been one of the best seasons so far. Every episode has been incredibly funny and Cartman Finds Love could very well be my favorite episode they've ever done. Cupid Me was just so Cartman.

Reverse Cowgirl - 9.5/10.
Cash For Gold - 9.3/10.
Faith Hilling - 8/10.
Jewpacabra - 9/10.
Butterballs - 9.4/10.
I Should Have Never Gone Zipining - 8.5/10
Cartman Finds Love - 9.9/10.

South Park is back and better than ever.

I think it's better than it's ever been, 7 (in my opinion) amazing episodes. Mind you that's not exactly a new thing, I can't name a South Park episode I dislike.

Last season was also great, I think City Sushi was one of the best episodes ever.

Trey and Matt's sense of humour must be very similar to mine because I find pretty much everything they do funny.

I know right? Liu Kim is easily one of the funniest characters they created. And seeing him fighting and trying to kill that Japanese guy was amazing.

If you havn't been enjoying the modern episodes then don't watch it, you're obviously not a fan of South Park so why moan about it?

That's not true.

A true South Park fan will have been watching since before at least Season 5, and I can tell you there's been a drastic change in content since then.

I still enjoy the show as much as I did when watching the older seasons, alls I'm saying is there's been a big change, and even though I find nothing wrong with this, many fans do.

When did I say the Simpsons was better than ever? My favorite Simpsons is season 1 and 2, all of my favorite Simpsons episodes are in at least the first 8 seasons. All I ever said is that it's better than it has been in recent years (season 12-20).

Get your facts straight before you post, you make yourself look like an idiot. Although that's not hard when you are one.

South Park needed to change to stay fresh, it can't always be doing the same old crap. It's changed and for the better, it's allowed for more creative writing.

I don't feel like it has changed. I feel like it's getting tired and stale doing the same old crap.

They should have shaken things up when they had the chance with the "You're Getting Old"/"Assburgers" arc.

I will admit I was getting super excited during Stan's speech towards the end of 'Ass Burgers', but as soon as Randy showed up I was kind of like "YAY!" for stuff staying the same but at the same time my heart sank and I was like... Oh...

Word.
I think in the commentaries they mentioned something about wanting to shake things up but didn't basically 'cause it'd be too hard, and weird with Randy seperated from the family. I fall on the side of being disappointed by Ass Burgers' ending (on a side note, the Matrix guys were amazingly funny though).
