MacGyver movie, possibly (but probably not) in 2013. Also possibly (but probably not) with Richard Dean Anderson reprising the role.
This would be awesome if it weren't just a pipe-dream.

*bamp*
Blade Runner sequel is becoming more likely, Ridley Scott looking for screenplay writer for it.
He's also finished shooting Prometheus which I hope is good.

Hans Zimmer wants your chant for The Dark Knight Rises!

Also, more from Peter Jacksons The Hobbit blog.
Talking about 3D.

I'm interested, Wikipedia says the film takes place 8 years after The Dark Knight, so Batman is kind of retired I guess. Looks good, I love Anne Hathaway and can't wait to see her as Catwoman. Nolan is becoming like Tim Burton what with him casting everyone from Inception to be in this movie. I hope Scarecrow is in this movie for more than 5 minutes.

I'm not sure when this was announced, but the next Bond movie is finally in the works.
They've gone with another odd un-Bond-ish title 'Skyfall'.
Craig and Dench are back, and Javier Bardem is the bad guy.
They're putting Q in the movie. But he's a young lad, played by Ben Whishaw.
No plot details, except that it's not going to be  connected to the 'Quantum' plot of the previous two movies.

I watched the previous two films recently and together they're pretty decent with the QoS one obviously being the weaker one, almost like one film split in two.
The plot to steal the water was pretty devious, just not super-villain devious as in other Bond films.

And it's realistic too. Like when Turkey dammed the Tigris–Euphrates river system, preventing fresh water getting to Syria and Iraq. Then later using it for, virtually, blackmail.

My drunken pot-smoking father is always screaming at the top of his lungs about how the next great war will be about water, not oil. But he screams a lot of things.

I was watching the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman... and seriously...  why are they trying to make Snow White have LOTR type battles, and are they seriously trying to convince us Cherlize Theron is meant to be jealous of Kirsten Stewert's physical attractiveness?  I mean... c'mon.  Kirsten Stewert isn't hideous, but she's not gorgeous either, but she can't hold a candle to Cherlize Theron.  That woman has been beaten soundly with the Beauty Stick.   She's the only reason I'm easily considering watching this movie.

But seriously, is Goldilocks and the 3 Bears going to be reinvented as an epic battle between the forces of Goldilocks and the forces Bears? Why does every fantasy drama have to have a LOTR epic battle awkwardly shoved in?

I don't feel like Charlize Theron is properly cast. I agree she's too beautiful and too young for that role in my opinion. She doesn't look like she's a queen she looks like she's on a photo shoot.

I think she's going to do a great job of the queen (I mean if she can pull off Aileen Wuirnos she can do anything).  I mean the Wicked Queen was always beautiful but they should have casted a girl who can at least give her a run for her money, not a deadeyed mouthbreather.

Alice was so disappointing.  Lots of pretty imagery, not especially inventive imagery but that's about it.  Now, Madness Returns... that's a whole other kettle of fish.  I think I've had more fun reading the artbook for Madness Returns then watching Alice and the Cliche Ridden Battle.   I also think they should have done more with Anne Hathaway and her Robot Nigella Lawson act.

Did someone say Ben Whishaw Benwhishawbenwhishawbenwhisha wbenwhishawbenwhishawbenwhish awbenwhishaw *explodes*

...oh... dear...

That's like casting Micheal Cera as Pip in the next adaption of Great Expectations. I mean Helena Bonham Carter is a fantastic actress and I was originally pretty excited by her upcoming portrayal as Miss Havisham, but the way they've made her up makes her look more she's just done a photoshoot for Vivienne Westwood then a prematurely time ravaged psychotic spinster.

"It's a Wonderful Life!  Starring that fat guy from King of Queens and Kim Kardashian."

It was on years ago, but Hunger is on again tonight.  One of the few movies that actually made me feel rather ill, and I absolutely love tall, stubbly, long haired Irish men...

Not in this film though.  I keep remembering it's based on a true story and then I want to bleach my retinas twice as much.

Oh Hunger is the one about the Irish Hunger strike that came out in 2008.

Lots of naked, toned, stubbly, long haired Irish men... who are all smearing shit on the walls of prison cells and getting beaten to a pulp.

I'm sure there are people out there who actually get turned on it though (let's face it, it's the fucking Internet.)  Someone else probably enjoyed the scene where a prisoner's girlfriend smuggles a radio into the prison in her vagina.

I really hope this film took a few creative liberties with the source material.  It's rare for me to be wishing for it to be loosely based on a true story.

'Indiana Jones' seems to have something of a 'Star-Trek'-esque even/odd numbered film division of quality thing going on.

By which I mean 'Raiders' and 'Last Crusade' are two wonderful films whereas 'Temple of Doom' and 'Crystal Skull' both suck noodles. Yes, bite me, 'Temple of Doom' is dreadful.

And it's by this illogical logic that I look forwards to 'Indiana Jones 5'.
