The Raid, badass looking Indonesian action film.
(trailer is rather violent)
How did Indonesia make a movie? They haven't even got electricity.
Solar powered cameras?

In any event... credits should read: "Paid for by drunken Australian tourist money".

Batman: Year One clip!

Action films!
Drive (out here on Friday)
Killer Elite (Statham, Clive Owen and DeNiro as assassins, could be fun/awful)
The Raid (again, but some reviews on IMDB make it sound cool)

That's not how heels work in fiction!  They are never impractical in fiction; in fact on the contrary!

Most trailers prominently display the MPAA rating of the film, but are "Approved for all audiences" themselves, as was this one.

What Tachyon says is truth.  However, I believe Faze's curiosity was more concerned toward the film itself because it didn't seem to indicate nor imply content in the film that would require a restricted rating over it.

The reason though is that the trailer there did a good fucking job of causing interest in the film without revealing the best parts of the plot.  I can assure you, however, that the content of the film requires and needs this rating as its story spirals chaotically through the deranged, claustrophobic, demented, and even macabre hell that Curtis acceleratingly clings to in the darkest hours that tie together the last strings of his family's ability to hold together.  The whole movie climaxes in a cinematic event as the town engulfs its own darkest, innermost sins to bury small remnants of innocence and rub out the embers of hope that a living man dead deserves.

Edit: This is arguably the single most disturbing film I have ever seen.  I'd also like to note that I use the word film here, not movie, and I still don't know that I am accurately describing this piece of frightening artistic insight.  If you decide to watch this, I highly advise that you do so without the intention of craving sleep for a long time afterward.

Lousy crossover without Spider-man. And the X-Men. And Hellboy. And Optimus Prime. And James Bond. And the Ninja Turtles. Now that, THAT would be a movie.

I'm sure the director will be thrilled to hear that, svip. Probably be watched by twice as many people in the UK as it would have otherwise.

I really didn't think the first one was worth the hype. I mean, it's an interesting concept, but when I watched it it was quite underwhelming. I really wasn't that bothered by the whole gross-out factor of it, oddly enough...

Anyway, films I am looking forward to are:
Tintin
Sherlock Holmes 2
I can't remember what it's called but it's about Freud and Jung's relationship.

Banned in the UK.

This work was passed with no cuts made.

"Remarks:
Cut version. Pre-cut by company in line with DVD version."

And then, when you click on the film title included on the DVD:
"This work was cut. The cut(s) were Compulsory. To obtain this category cuts of 2m 37s were required. Details of cuts below may contain spoilers of plot details."

Regarding the first one:
It was far better than it had any right to be. I watched it about a year before the hype kicked off at a film-festival, without really knowing what it was so I went into it without any real expectations. It's not a great film, but it's miles ahead of most horror films in that slasher-y area. It was nicely shot and the performance of the man who played the villain was outstanding.
I'm actually really intrigued to see the second one although I have no idea why as I'm 99% certain it will be terrible.

And films I'm looking forwards to most of all:
Les Miserables
The Avengers
Alan Partridge: The Movie
The Book of Mormon
Wreck-It-Ralph
Prometheus
The Arrested Development Movie
World War Z
Django Unchained
Frank or Francis
The Untitled Pixar Movie About Dinosaurs
Ted
The World's End
The Goon
Young Adult
Frankenweenie
Take Shelter
The Dark Knight Rises
Noah
The Master
[Rec] 3: Genesis
[Rec] 4: Apocalypse
amonst others.

Yes but when cuts are forced upon a film, it's called censorship. The film was refused classification prior to those cuts which means it was essentially banned.

I liked it. I wish they would show all the Avengers together though. And I wish it was Edward Norton playing Bruce Banner. :(

But I'll end up seeing this regardless.
