This is my new favourite comedy. It's so consistently hilarious, the cast is fantastic, I love the way it looks, and the writing is sharp as hell. Not to mention the attention to detail in terms of continuity (eg. Archer STILL has the Seamus/Dicky tattoos he got on his back in season 2)... And it's mostly just the one guy writing it all! Amazing. Plus, we all know I'm a huge Arrested Development fan, so... *creams*

Also, anyone notice how the first line of each new scene usually plays off the last line of the scene that preceded it? My favourite one yet was in the pirate three-parter; One scene ended with a character saying the word "cock" and the next scene began with Archer (completely unrelated, of course) yelling "SUCK IT!" I lost my shit when that happened. :laff:

I loved that he still has those tattoos and you could kinda sorta see them through his singlet.
the Pirate Fortress thing was genius, and Archer's whole beating his records at holding his breath and killing sharks had me in stitches.

This thing is so good. And yeah. With you on the Arrested Development... Also, David Cross. I pee-peed in my pants!

I too have been recently converted to this hilarious show. I laugh my ass off more times in a single episode than I can remember doing in any cartoon. Brilliant, sharp writing, engaging characters, and more Burt Reynolds references than you can shake a stick at. Count me in for season 3...

I hate that they're making us wait for the new episodes. I cannot wait for new Archer.
In the meantime, i have been listening to Aisha Tyler's podcast
Jon benjamin tells the most horrible yet hilarious story, and you get everyone from the Archer cast really. Adam Reed, Judy Greer & Amber Nash, and Chris Parnell. It's awesome stuff.

And A-Ha's theme song from The Living Daylights? Best Bond theme except for A View to a Kill.

Are you forgetting Sheena Easton's For Your Eyes Only?

Best.  Bond.  Song.  Ever.

The normal season airing for Archer (from the previous two seasons data) is at the beginning of the calendar year.  So really, we got three extra new episodes with David Cross and Patrick Warburton in them during the summer season (or fall?).  I don't know.

BUMPERINO!

So, is anybody still watching this show? This season has been pretty funny. My favorite episodes have been El Contador (where Cyril first becomes an agent), Bloody Ferlin (with Gillette's brother), and Skin Game (with Katya returning) was hilarious even if I wasn't fond of its tragic ending...although the fact that it means that Archer is continuing to sleep with Pam is hilarious.

And now in the most recent episode they're in space! Could it get any better?

I tried  a few episodes of this, and it was pretty funny. My brother has always liked this show, so I guess I'll eventually start watching it. Also, I'm pretty sure Archer is played by the guy who does Bob in Bob's Burger's.

Hm. There's some good stuff in there. I'm looking forward to getting hold of S03E11 and S03E12 in a format that I can watch. I understand they're the two most recently aired episodes.

Frustratingly, I've been unable to locate .avi files and will need to wait until I see my friend Jim to get them. I have no idea when that'll be. :(

The way certain torrents number the episodes is a bit confusing. Some of them consider the pirate island three-parter to be the first three episodes of the season, and some don't. So some call the newest episode number 9 and others call it 12.

I have no issues with the numbering. I figured that out quickly enough. What I dislike is that all of them for episodes 11 and 12 (or 8 and 9 if you prefer) seem to be .mkv, mpeg-4, or .rar files.

Do not want. I want a .avi, which would be nice and simple just to open up with WMplayer and watch on my large secondary monitor. For some reason, anything that will play the other file types likes to default to displaying on my tiny netbook screen and won't shift from it.

Which is annoying, to say the least.

I don't understand. Out of all people why would you torrent something? Perhaps I misunderstood, or I don't know the real tnuk... :hmpf:

No. You don't know "the real tnuk". A few PEELers do. A select few. The majority of you have no idea why I might do the things I do, or what I do when I'm not online.

Long version (spoilered for convenience)

Short version:
The only way I get to watch certain shows is on my computer. This is America's fault.

Now, back to discussing Archer. Because that's what's this thread's about.

Kreiger is awesome. It's about damn time we had a few episodes that focus more on Kreiger. We've had episodes focusing heavily on Cyril, Pam, Cheryl, Lana, Archer, Mallory... even Gillette. But so far, Kreiger hasn't taken centre stage for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

I want to see more crazy fucked-up robots and microchips being implanted into people's heads.

The brief snatch that sent me off on this tangent was the shot of Kreiger walking up to the break room table and casually stuffing a wriggling lab rat into his pocket before offering his "herbal tea" to Pam, Cheryl and Gillette. It was just... brilliant. I have no idea why I enjoyed it so much, but I did, and I want more.

I completely agree. Krieger doesn't get nearly enough attention and there's so much potential there.

Pam is probably my favorite character. The episode where she gets kidnapped (mistaken for Cheryl) is my favorite of the series.

Why didn't anyone tell me this show was amazing? Actually, my bad, I recall a few people telling me to watch their show. I only got into it once Frisco sat me down and we watched the first few episodes together. Then I happened to be at Best Buy for Nikita Season 2 and I saw both seasons on an endcap on sale. Yes. :D

This is in fact, in my opinion the funniest show currently on television. It's so perfect. Every element of it from it's Arrested Development-James Bond crossover, to it's amazing cast; it's just absolutely brilliant. Me and my camp friends quote it all the time. ALL THE TIME.

Love the show (LOVE IT) but there really aren't enough episodes yet to be able to use appropriate quotes at will, like futurama. Like, every clip on youtube will have a comment about the Danger Zone, regardless of whether it makes sense or not. It's frustrating.

I know this is the archer thread (which I've seen a few times and quite enjoyed) but I just wanted to spread the love for the james bond films (as they were being mentioned). I'm a bond addict and it is my all time favourite film series.
