Did anyone else realize that Depending on how long the two's doctors had switched shoes for....it seems pretty likely that it was the "real" Doctor Amy was talking to when she mentions that he dies. Gah!

The real Doctor joked about it (if I recall correctly, he definitely said something about inviting people to see it) before the ganger was killed. He definitely was the one Amy was talking to. Also, did anybody else notice: that the ganger Doctor noticed when Amy saw the woman again? I guess it goes along with that the Flesh seem to have one consciousness (if I understood what was being said correctly) and that the ganger Doctor would be able to see what the ganger Amy was seeing as well. Just to add more suspense I guess...
The week wait between the Pandorica Opens and the Big Bang was torture, I'm not looking forward to Summer at all.
Also, this isn't a spoiler, but apparently on DW Confidential they said Amy has been a Ganger since the Impossible Astronaut.
I didn't need no DWC to figure that one out. The Amy we've been seeing has been one since the time we first saw the woman.

So the entire Flesh and Ganger thing is gonna be more important then we first expected?

I noticed the 1st, 3rd and 4th references, but no 10th? Matt sounds very similar to David.

Eccleston was the best Doc IMO. And yes tnuk, there was a clear difference.

I watched a ton of Tom Baker as Dr. Who. In fact, as a young, poor, newlywed couple, when Dr. Who was coming in very fuzzy across the air on my frequently self-repaired set, my wife demanded that we go out right then and get a new TV so that we could watch the show.
After the Baker era, I hadn't watched again until I saw "The Water of Mars" on late-night cable one night, which I really enjoyed.
Would it be worth putting the Eccleston DVDs on my with list?

So I've finally caught up to the newest episode, and I've had two major predictions about this season since watching The Impossible Astronaut. Actually, one of them I've had since The Time Of Angels, it seemed fairly obvious then and it's started to seem even more obvious now. I'm sure someone if not many have already made this prediction but I haven't been paying attention to people talking about the season so far since I just watched the six episodes of it the past few days. Anyway, I'm fairly certain that (do not look if you don't want to take the chance that I'm right and I ruin the whole season for you, unless you've already figured it out yourself): River Song is the one who kills the Doctor. In The Time Of Angels (or perhaps it was Flesh And Stone...anyway), the Doctor asks River Song why she is in Stormcage, she responds that she killed somebody very important, and "the best man she ever knew". When he asks who, she doesn't answer. From that very moment I assumed she meant the Doctor...if the two of them were married (which we've known since Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead) then who else could she mean by "the best man she ever knew"? In The Impossible Astronaut, River is the one who strongly urges that they not tell the Doctor about his fate. She also mentions that she and the Doctor are moving in opposite directions, that everytime she sees him he's younger and younger. Why can't River simply be with the current Doctor, the Doctor who knows her? Why is she doomed to only be visited by earlier versions of the Doctor now? The answer seems pretty obvious...her Doctor is dead. Last thing, when we see the Doctor killed, right before he dies he says, acceptingly, "I know it's you" and the spaceman opens their helmet to be face to face with the Doctor before killing him. All of these things seem to leave little doubt to me that River is indeed the one we see in the astronaut suit killing the Doctor. Which leads me to my second prediction. This one I'm not so sure about but I'll throw it out there anyway: Assuming the child we saw in The Impossible Astronaut and Day Of The Moon is Amy's daughter...River Song is Amy's daughter. Not really much evidence for this but considering the regeneration scene at the end of Day Of The Moon and considering the show is making a hubbub about who River Song really is, I don't think it's that farfetched a guess.

Josh: I've been assuming the same thing since then too. I mean, there aren't a lot of other "best" men that we know.

Rory is the best. Rory is the bestest of all the characters.
Oh, Rory.

I initially disliked him, because even though I do not appreciate the high ratio of female to male companions, he seemed at first to be nothing more than Mickey II. Then he spent nearly two thousand years voluntarily guarding the Pandorica, thus proving himself to be a total badass. ( Oh, Rory!) Amy doesn't know how lucky she is to have the Pretty One Lone Centurion.

Ok, not getting into the whole spoiler/teaser thing started again, but these teasers tell you to stay away from Spoilers, so they can't be Spoilers! 1 It is amazing – a true five-star episode
2 There are lots of spaceships – and that’s just in the teaser
3 There is a very Star Wars feel (The Empire Strikes Back especially) even down to the shape of the windows and the music
4 It’s action-packed and feels so much more epic than a usual single parter
5 There are lots of suprise guests stars (and some will be a surprise) but unlike in “The Pandorica Opens” none of them feels wasted – they all have a chance to shine…
6 …Apart from one maybe
7 It cracks along at a hell of a pace
8 There are some revelations that really will make your jaw drop
9 There is a terrific battle scene at the end (which more than makes up for a slightly underwhelming and confusingly directed one in the first half)
10 Although there’s lots of time travelling, it’s not a timey-whimey-reliant plot.
11 The Doctor produces something very revealing from the TARDIS
12 Rory says something very funny to an old enemy that you can’t believe has never been said before
13 It’s a great episode for both Rory and Amy (and Matt Smith is as brilliant as ever, especially in a sudden, unexpected emotional moment)
14 A throwaway line from last season becomes a major plot device
15 Somebody is asked to make a donation
16 Somebody very unexpected is playing doctors and nurses
17 We get to see somebody’s muff
18 Rory is definitely cool
19 Look carefully at the monitor screens…
20 …And the corridors
21 And please, please, please, if anyone has leaked the title for the next episode onto the internet, avoid the temptation to check it out. When the caption comes up at the end, “The Doctor Will Be Back In…” it was so unexpected and made us grin so much, we’d hate you to miss having the same experience… Also, regarding Teaser 7, the part of the teaser may be a reference to the ... ALSO, HOLY CRAP, LOOK AT TEASER 17! THE F**K?!

Ok, not getting into the whole spoiler/teaser thing started again, but these teasers tell you to stay away from Spoilers, so they can't be Spoilers!
You can't say you're not getting into it again and then post an extremely polemic recap of your position as though it invalidates the other side's. That's a very quick way to make sure a particular debate flares up again instantly. We've been over this. Information pertaining to an unaired episode is a fucking spoiler. It's no matter if it's called a teaser or a promo or a sneak peek, it's a fucking spoiler, and it belongs in a fucking spoiler tag. Congratulations on doing that last part by the way. The addition of the spoiler tag is a cromulent step, and whether or not you feel it was warranted, it bloody well was.As for "teaser" #17, I have a feeling that it's being used to refer obliquely to a woman's fur-lined handwarmer - a popular Victorian fashion accessory that has fallen out of favour in recent decades. Nowadays people wear gloves.

MOAR. •Remember not to interact with the headless monks (without divine permission) •“Oh turn it off. I’m breaking in, not out!” •The Doctor calls on favours from a number of familiar faces •“They don’t put up a balloon or anything!” •A line from a previous episode takes on a new significance. •“****** ******** is a geography teacher, ****** **** is a superhero” •Sontarans can produce a tasty drink. •Rory: “That’s probably enough ******* now” •River Song’s true identity is revealed in the episode’s final moments. •The (frankly brilliant) title to episode eight is revealed before the end credits roll.
