That is the most stupid definition of evil I've ever heard. Svip, you're stupid.
I thought that was you. I admit though; I did not expect an intelligent response from you.

Agreed, Zap is just an idiot. Bender is true evil.
Awww...I don't think Bender is truly evil. He's self-serving to the extreme, but he cares about his friends enough to help them out now and then.
The case I made for evil does not rule out caring for people. Evil resolves in the fact that you realise the consequences of your actions, and do them anyway. You act in own gain, and your initial opinion of another person is that they are expendable. Any evil person can grow to have an affection for another person. No doubt about it. But evil is more about initial feelings of people. I mean, who is laughing when a rocket crashes and kills thousands of people?

I also agree with Svip. I think there are some characters that are perhaps more villainous than Bender, but he is "evil" to at least some extent. They may be just jokes, but several times in the show they even mention that Bender is evil. The case I made for evil does not rule out caring for people. Evil resolves in the fact that you realise the consequences of your actions, and do them anyway. You act in own gain, and your initial opinion of another person is that they are expendable.

This may be a strange comparison to make, but with this manner of thinking the character Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer reminds me a lot of Bender. They’re both alcohol-loving, smoking, gambling tough guys who ultimately end up on the team of protagonists, sometimes showing a sensitive, softer side and sometimes even working against the team for their own selfish reasons but still being accepted for their usefulness and lack of destroying everything outright. They also both develop some sort of affection for other characters but are still in essence “evil.”
