why is scruffy not doin any work all the time? If i was farnsworth i would have had his ass fired a long time ago....

Scruffy is really a lazy guy, but he is brilliant for short jokes! The only time I remember him him working for Farnsworth was in Jurassic Bark. He was the one who moved the lift.

The crew doesn't really see him around because he never is there. The animtors just wanted him as a short joke character I guess.

Would you really like seeing Scruffy in almost every episode and not having any sort of help in the plot? I wouldn't. That's why having him in some episodes and having short line jokes is the greatness of his character.
