In the mothers day episode, it shows bender being assembled, as he is now. But it TLMH he becomes young and gets bracers and ears.

Yeah, it really doesn't make any sense, but he just looks so damn cute.

True, at least they make bender go back into a construction kit and then to just the blue prints

Well, he CAN extend and retract his limbs. Maybe he just did that so he wasn't left out, or something. Who knows?

If I remember the commentary for Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, it says something like:

First off, I don't even remember seeing Bender getting assembled in Mothers Day (that is the one you mean, right?) I do remember seeing him get assembled in Bendless Love when he has a flashback. Also,I think that in TMLH he was shown as what he WOULD HAVE looked like if he was a young robot, maybe he never actually was(sorry if this doesnt really make sense)

Not behind the scenes though...plus, if the commentary said it it's law.

sory my mistake, it wasnt mothers day that we saw him being assembled. But in mothers day we did see a photo of bender at 4 months old (i think).

This your onto something. Children robots exist in the year 3000 and they can up grade (for example getting Puberty installed). Bender was made an adult robot straight away and mabey his RNA is also adult. When they start getting younger it shows what bender would have looked like if he had in fact started off as a child robot and progressed to an adult through upgardes!

That's what I think, Colonel43; we've already seen how hardware can be reconfigured in The Honking.

Thanks, but I wonder how to explain the part in "Kif gets Knocked up a Notch" when Bender  gives them those bronze footcups and says "Theyre my booties from when I was a kid". And f_r, you are right, we did see a picture of him at  either 3 or 4 months :)

What I can't figure out is why his head got younger at the same rate as the rest of his body.  After all, it is 1000+ years old.

maybe his bronze boots are from when he was a few minutes old and before we see him on the Assembly line.[ in ep 'kif gets knocked up a knoch]

what do you mean, the bronze boots are a valid input ro this argument. you find an explanation that links them to his 'birth'!
