The Kif Kroker and Amy Wong Award for Most Nauseating...ly Cute PEEL Couple

You've seen them at school.  You've seen them at the mall.  You've seen them in a park or walking down the sidewalk.  You know the type and you could make them out two kilometers away.  At night.  During a new moon.  They walk ever so slowly, hand-in-hand with their heads inclined lovingly toward one another.  They are the “cute couple”.  If you are unfortunate enough to have them pass close by you can hear the whispered “sugar lips”, “sweety-pie”, “honeybun” and other eyeroll-inducing phrases. There are a number of couples on PEEL.  Which of them are so nauseatingly cute and sweet together that when you see a pic of them you need an immediate intercardial injection of insulin and a Dramamine patch just to recover?

And I believe you may have just mentioned every current PEELationship*...that we know of. If any other PEELers are having secret affairs with one another, speak now (once you can disengage your tongues) or miss out on winning this frivolous internet contest!

*There are also [-mArc-] and edeltraut, not to mention JBERGES and Kloudes...but seeing as how three of those four people do not post on anything approximating a regular basis, I guess we do not really get to bear witness to their, well, unbearable cuteness enough to have been sickened by it.

What about FishyJoe and Joysauce? I've only seen Fishy post in recent times, but they do have a bunch of ridiculously photogenic children, which is nauseatingly cute.

It's time for you to take a "couple" of minutes to peruse the candidate sweethearts at the top of this page.  Then pick one.  Well, not technically one, because they're couples, but you know what I mean, dammit!  Get to it!  The poll closes 7 days from now.

And one couple in particular make such an endearing pair that I simply can't help but give them an honorable mention, even though they didn't receive quite enough nominations to slip into the poll.  He has been on PEEL for ages.  She has been around for a number of months but hasn't yet made a post on her own.  I presumed that she was just a bit shy, but someone asked her and she said that she was sorry but her hands were tied.  For nearly making the Cute Couple poll, I present this Honorable Mention to: Freako & Ellie!

Has anyone noticed the interesting dynamic between lower case and upper case usernames? Here we have 3 different types in four example - two are where they are both lowercase, on is where they are both uppercase, and one is where his is uppercase and hers is lowercase. It actually seems to me that the lowercase usernames are more outspoken in person, against what my own preconception would be that a lowercase username would be meek and shy.

I wonder if it has the opposite distinction with regards to the pair of couples being alone...

This is too small a sample size to be drawing any conclusions.  We'd need at least a few dozen PEEL couples, and we all know how likely that is to happen.

Whoa whoa whoa...whoa (to both the result and the picture ). I thought Gorkward had this in the bag! I hadn't checked back here in a few days, this is rather a shock; they were ahead of all of us by a large length of sexy blue bar for most of the week, I thought. I have to say overall I am confused and disappointed and happy with the final result This will be a fine surprise for my male counterpart when he arrives home from work. If he doesn't check PEEL in the meantime, that is.

Good thing he said that then. I thought people would focus more on pictures - I know that's what I though of. The first time I saw a pic of Gorky and Tedward together I squee'd, which isn't really something I do. And then there were all the pics of Friski getting..frisky, which I thought were pretty cute.

Oh, Randi. That's a hilarious and sexy picture of the FriscoFreak amalgamation! But I have to admit, upon blearily reading this when I was still waking up, since his pants and your top are both gray, I saw the photo as, Frisco extending his leg out towards the camera.
